Ordered the chicken tikka masala curry and a chicken panini to-go made by the owner while I waited! Extra care was taken into grilling the bread of the panini and toasting the naan along with perfecting the spices in the masala curry and the grilled chicken! Can't wait to go back and satisfy my cravings for homemade Indian dishes! Plenty of room to eat inside- counter service.

Unhygienic, the person who made the panini went from the register to making my panini, didn't wash his hands nor wore gloves. Gross.

I recently managed to pay a visit during my lunch break to Rote Shaq. It's located downtown next to the royal blue grocery in downtown across from the courthouse. It's a hidden gem. It's got a cute little ambiance, Indian food meets downtown deli. I'm usually picky about Indian food and this is really good fusion food. I ordered the tacos (paneer, falafel, and potato) and the tortillas are so soft and yummy. Their paneer tikka pizza is really really good (but on the more oily side but totally forgivable for how good the flavor is). The masala fries are just curly fries with tikka sauce but I love curly fries! They make everything to order and the owner is really sweet! I'll definitely be back!

5/5. Friendly staff, great service, great food, clean facility.The chicken taco and potato tacos are outstanding. Good tortilla, fabulous ingredients, everything is fresh. I also love the chicken bowl with vegetables and rice. The sauces on top go perfectly together. The mango lassi is the best you can get anywhere. I drink these way too often.

I have eaten here a few times. It is counter service Indian fusion. Dont be turned off by Indian pizza or sandwiches. Try them. Everything I have tried is excellent. Thisnisnan owner operated place so he is taking extra pride in the food. The chicken sandwich was amazing! Great seasonings, tender chicken, crispy grilled bread. So glad this place is near where I play pickleball downtown!

Food is great, people are polite and courteous. Bring appetite and patience with you. You'll get downtown street food vibes. They have seating for 3 large groups inside and smaller tables on the sidewalk.

Amazing flavors and made with love. Highly recommend for both food and service. I had paneer tikka masala with rice and it was delicious. Their chai is also amazing. Give it a try.

Some of the worst service you'll find downtown. Workers don't use gloves, are usually hiding in the back room, and prioritize checking phones over customers standing in front of them.

Rote Shaq has an extensive menu with lots of options. Their tacos are delicious, but their chicken tikka panini might be one of the best paninis I've ever eaten. Lunch or dinner, this panini hits the spot. It's fresh, hot, has quality ingredients, and has the most perfect buttery crunch when you bite into it. So good!
