Had a fantastic yet simple dinner at Roaring Fork. The food was excellent, ambiance was upscale, and servers were friendly8 ounce Black Angus Steak Filet - The sides of the filet were a little overcooked however the center was absolutely perfectTruffle Fries - A great pairing with the steak. The fries were steak fry style and had a strong truffle flavor which I enjoyed greatly. It also comes with truffle aioli and steak sauce that you could try with the steak or anything else you order. I opted for this instead of ordering accompaniments and don't regret a thingOverall had a great experience and would come back

On a random whim, my friend and I had the chance to go see a comedy show at Paramount Theatre and we were wanting to grab a bite before the show. Since we were running a bit late we felt it was best to go somewhere that was near the theatre. Roaring Fork fit the bill and we decided to go check it out. It was my first time coming here so I wasn't sure what all to expect. You can definitely get the vibes of it being a signature steakhouse but it was super warm and inviting. The fire pit near the front entrance was a very nice touch. You have to enter the restaurant through the hotel as their street entrance is closed, but I feel it was due to safety reasons. We were able to be put at a table in less than three minutes which made it all the easier to eat on time. The menu has a little bit of everything but the main elements that I got from the menu was steakhouse, New Mexican cuisine, and standard dishes including salads and burgers. Our appetizers included their cornbread and the "lamb pops" with fondue which were both pretty tasty. Just be mindful the bread normally paired with the fondue has pecans in the crostini. So if you're allergice please be aware of that.I had their burger which was very nicely cooked and was super refreshing. The burger patty didn't soak the bread which is how you know it was constructed well. Don't worry about the bacon as it came out super crispy.Wasn't' that big of a fan of their truffle fries so I probably will just keep their standard fries next time. My drink of choice was a signature mocktail/zero-proof cocktail was very light and refreshing. I feel like their signature drinks are all well done.

We tried Roaring Fork for the first time on a Wednesday night & our experience was amazing! It's right in the downtown area & we wanted a bite to eat and some drinks before we headed off for the night. We got there around 5 for the happy hour at the bar, they had some great drink and food items. We got the queso, truffle fries, burger & steak tacos, all of which were amazing I would 100% re-order everything we got! Our server was very nice and attentive, she gave us great menu recommendations as well! The restaurant itself is very clean, and would be the perfect spot for a date night or nice dinner with friends! I really enjoyed this spot, definitely recommend & will be back!

We were so excited to go to this restaurant while in Austin for a conference but deeply disappointed. Ambiance and service were excellent but food was just so-so. both my husband's filet and my ribeye, ordered medium rare, were over cooked and tough. The tortilla soup and Caesar salad were okay. Same is true for the guacamole, mushrooms and asparagus. The shrimp cocktail was coated in the sauce. The best sides were the skillet cornbread and Mexican street corn. We were guests of a colleague so we didn't complain but if we were there on our own we would have returned our main courses at least.

Nice spot for happy hour. Pricey for the amount of food you get but it's and upscale spot and it was tasty. Service was meh but drinks were tasty. Even allowed us to switch when we didn't like one

*830pm on a Sat*Warm feel with low light*BACON & MAPLE OLD FASHIONED*Server very friendly and answered questions *Cellar room space for parties*Acoustics are great*Mac and cheese is a thick cheasy sauce with a little heat from the peppers*Tye was our server*Had the cowboy cut ribeye and split itVisiting Austin for a family event and had an intimate dinner with my spouse here. The location is very nice for an evening cozy elevated dinner. The place was busy but not too much noise. Ty did a nice job of answering our questions and making suggestions. We did the Rib Eye and split it with the wilted spinach and onions, green chili mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The mac was amazing as it was thick and cheesy with a nice toasted top and a little heat. Highly suggest the mac. The ribeye came out as expected and was plenty for two people to split. I had two Bacon & Maple Old Fashioned as they were good.

Every time we come to The Roaring Fork it's always a good experience. The servers are attentive and welcoming. My husband has hosted many dinners there and they have consistently been accommodating for a large group. I do recommend that you make a reservation. Everything we've had there has been very good. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and it's a great place to relax and have dinner in downtown Austin.

We came here after my husband's birthday at a speakeasy around the corner. I'd only ever gone to the stonelake location, so I was thrilled to try the downtown location. The booths were surprisingly small, and the drinks came slowly. The menu looked like an older version of the stonelake location. We ordered queso which was really watery. The chicken was okay, everyone else seemed to love their meal.
