Red's Smoking BarBQ

I enjoyed the BBQ here! I've lived in TX all my life and love great bbq. Tho costs have skyrocketed on food, theirs was reasonable compared to other big name guys. I ordered their brisket wrap, chopped sandwich, cream corn, and a baked potato. I really enjoyed all of it. Brisket wrap was moist. Potato was simply spectacular. Just fell off the skin covered in butter, sour cream, and cheese. Chopped sandwich & cream corn was great too. I will be back!

The three of us ordered the pulled pork sandwiches. They were juicy and packed with a lot of meat. Very yummy.

This stand alone food truck is kind of hidden in a neighborhood, which is why I feel like business is not as popping as the other food trucks that are out in the open less than half a mile away. I highly recommend trying this place out, as their bbq is pretty good and fair priced + their employees are super sweet!!!!! We ordered the baked potato with brisket, a pound of brisket, and the 4 meat plate. The baked potato was the ABSOLUTE BEST. The potato was so soft, and it was smothered in butter. You could even eat the skin because it wasn't too thick. Brisket pieces were extremely flavorful. The pound of brisket was good with the bread and bbq sauce, but I definitely would've preferred to eat it with some onions and pickles too. I didn't think to ask for some because I just wanted to take the food home asap cuz I was starving lol. Only a few onions were included in our meals as can be seen in the photos. We wanted to get the pulled pork for the 4 meat plate, but the employee said they had just placed it into the smoker, which was a bummer because we really wanted to try it. They also said they didn't have sausage available. We had come at around 1240pm. We ended up just doubling up on brisket and ribs. Some parts of the meat were very tender but some of the other parts were dry and tough. Additionally, it seemed to be lacking the smoky flavor and was a bit on the blander side, but the bbq sauce made up for it! For the two sides, we got potato salad and creamed corn. They made the creamed corn fresh and hot, and when I say it was hot, I mean it was so hot even when we brought it back to the hotel that I had to spit it out because I burned my tongue HAHA. The creamed corn wasn't as sweet as the creamed corn I've had in the past, it was more buttery, which I had no problem with. Still had that nice creamy texture though! They have very minimal seating, and the charcoal stench was a bit too strong for me, so it wasn't the most ideal place to dine at. Therefore, we just took it to go! They take Zelle, cash, or card, but if you do card, they will charge an extra service fee, so keep that in mind. Parking is not a big issue, you can just park on the side of the street.

Amazing service, super friendly. Reasonable prices and muy delicioso! Do yourself a favor and try their BBQ but please save me some!!! Definitely a hidden gem!

Y'all it's goooooood. The owners a kind and so appreciative. We got the family pack #1: 2 lbs of meat and 2 pint sides. Got sausage which was normal. Chicken which was sooo good and smoked. And the brisket was pretty damn good. Potatoes salad was excellent. Green Beans were great too.

Hidden in the cusp of Pflugerville is this absolute GEM of a barbecue truck. The brisket, ribs and breakfast tacos were absolutely amazing. What really makes this such a great restaurant is how sweet the owner and daughter were. They are truly genuine and love what they do - and it clearly shows! I highly recommend this place and am tempted to host a party JUST so I can have them cater it. I'm definitely going back and highly recommend.

We had Red's cater my son's graduation party and it was perfect! They even accommodated a special order for turkey on the three meat plate. The food arrived hot and cooked to perfection. I am very picky and from south Texas where my late Grandpa used to slow smoke brisket for every large event. The bar is high and they met it!!!! Utensils, plates, bread, sauce, pickles, onion, jalapeños all came with the meal. They were so courteous with providing a prompt quote, prompt delivery, and so friendly to speak with on the phone. They take Zelle which is very convenient because we were traveling from Houston to Pflugerville for this event. I would recommend you have them cater your next event. They will not disappoint.

This place is a hidden gem. Unfortunately it is plagued by never ending road construction with detour signs. Don't sleep on the fact that this food truck sits at the end of his property surrounded by the wood he uses to cook his meat. It is worth the trouble and experience. I will say once you drive up you will know that you found it...RED ALL OVER!I kept seeing this sign for Red's Smoking BarBQ and finally with guest in town from good ole Chicago, we decided to take the plunge. There isn't much space to partake in the food on site but well worth taking it with you to eat at your humble abode. I tried several of the recommendations, brisket, chicken, ribs, frito pie in abundance. I must say that all the meats were amazing - the TRUTH, but the sides weren't the best accompaniment. They aren't the best in town but worth a try. Palates are different. BRING CASH so that there aren't any surprises. He is a cash only spot and I saw many people turn around because they didn't read the reviews or pay attention and thought they were going to use credit cards. It is a simple place with a simple food truck that is so worth not only one try but many more. I have been many times and every time he is sooo nice and accommodating.

I'm a Texian & my first spoken words were Agua Y Leche.I've tried Red's twice - second time shame on me. I'll go to Hutto or Elgin for my BBQ.

I used to love this place. However, today I went and got creamed corn with a brisket sandwich. When I went to eat it it was 95% fat so I had nothing to eat. Let alone pricing went up so I just wasted $10.50. I also didn't get any change but I let it go because normally it's so good. I can get 2x as much at Smokey Mos for half the price and actually get my change back.
