For the 2nd year in a row the Austin High School Cross Country team's banquet was held at Ranch Austin! And, it was - again - perfection! Chris and his team made the entire process seamless - from the contract process to planning and logistics to the day of event - constantly checking in and willing to help! What a lovely location to celebrate the athletes and their families. Such a beautiful setting for any type of event! Thank you to Ranch Austin - you are truly a top notch operation!

It has taken me over 18 months to write this review because if I'm being honest, I was not emotionally able to. My husband, then boyfriend was diagnosed with cancer in May of 2018 and that took us on a roller coaster of a lifetime. September 2019, still going through chemo, he proposed as we had decided and agreed we were not going to let cancer write our future and dictate our life plans. We booked Ranch Austin for our dream wedding for June 13, 2020 sight unseen and paid in full- then COVID happened. This was a destination wedding for us and our guests and due to travel restrictions, and 100% of attendees having to arrive to Texas 2 weeks early for quarantining- We made the decision to cancel our Austin wedding because it was impossible for us and our guest to get there on said day and instead chose a small backyard ceremony at our home with 10 immediate family members to celebrate the day. We refused to allow Cancer to write our plans and did the same when it came to COVID. We moved forward and pressed on. When I reached out to Ranch Austin to notify them in April of 2020, they were very slow at responding and did so without any empathy for our situation. They offered an extension allowing us to rebook for a date through the end of 2020, which most had already been spoken for. Again this was not an option for us because of our unique situation and I again explained why that would not be an option for us, why we were not willing to reschedule our plans with the uncertainty of not only my husbands life but COVID and requested 50% of our money back (venue was paid in full) as I knew this was also a circumstance out of their control. Some weeks had passed and I finally got another response from the venue offering a year extension through June of 2021 suggesting a possible anniversary party or baby shower for the future. They argued that we were not owed a return of any kind because despite our circumstances, Ranch Austin would be open and operating on said day and shared no responsibility in the cancellation. By this time I had already cancelled and settled with all of my other venders receiving a partial refund for services also paid in full meaning in order to consider Ranch Austin's delayed offer- I would now have to rehire and pay in full new vendors on top of the loss I already took. I again explained why that was not an option for us and tried to come to an agreement in which we could receive some of our money back and all communication stopped. I understand I signed a contract protecting them, not me from unforeseen circumstances such as COVID, but all of my other vendors, whom I signed similar contracts with ignored that legal garbage and did the right thing by compromising and returning some of our money under the unique circumstances so that our day wouldn't be a total loss. Ranch Austin did none of that. I am saddened that they feel comfortable keeping our payment in full and still booking other brides for dates we did not use/accept. I am in a better place now and finally able to share my experience with Ranch Austin as we are happily married, celebrated our first wedding anniversary June 13, 2021 and my husband just celebrated a year in remission this month and will complete maintenance chemo in March of 2022.

There are a lot of good things about this venue. It is beautiful. However, we had a bad experience and I feel like not being honest could hurt another bride. We went with a wedding planner because they were recommended by the venue and had an open house. We were unsure about her but thought someone used to the facility would be best. The venue was supposed to set up the table and chairs, but instead, our planner was doing that. She had told us she would do a mimosa station in the bridal suite but did not do it. She took off most of the day of off to find candles she had forgotten she had rented to us. She was unprofessional on so many levels and tried to get into fights with our wedding guests. At the end of the night, the venue mistakenly tried to shut us down an hour early. Instead of her knowing our details or asking us, she just told the band to cut it off. After that, the night was pretty much ruined. When you spend such a great amount of money on something and it's not right it's hard to understand. Until they sever the tie they have with An Event To Remember, you should beware.

The venue is beautiful must see in person kind of place. Stunning outdoor scenery during the day and just as elegant at night. The online photos don't do it justice. The venue has many options to customize your event. My husband and I intended on getting married out in the field. Due to weather it just wasn't possible. But still an amazing experience. They were flexible as far as table arrangements goes, venders and decorations. One of the few venues that valued our service members. Yes, they do give a discount for that. However, they were the ONLY venue who did not penalized us if he got deployed. Other venues told us they would keep our deposit for holding that day and we would have to put another deposit down to change days. They even help dry tables after the rain and take down decorations after the event. However keep in mind the grooms cottage does NOT have hot water. I also think the bridal suite and grooms cottage need a bit of balancing. Like we need our own bathroom not attached to the main bathroom with a shower They had little to none restrictions. The groom and I showed up before noon to decorate, per contact - technical you don't have it until after noon. As long as your venders have insurance you can use whoever. They do have a preferred list, Dagar's catering service is amazing too.

Ranch Austin was so communicative, kind, and accommodating for my wedding on December 15, 2024. Even with questionable weather, they made our vision work perfectly and made on-site repairs the day of the event. Overall, I had an amazing experience with them and would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Austin area.

In regards to the other review which talks about the venue canceling all of the weddings, that is true but I'd like to expand on that:I was one of the brides that they cancelled on 5 weeks before my wedding, and while it was a headache to find a new venue, I cannot say enough about the Ranch Austin staff. They were forced to close, outside of their own control, because of a superfluous legal battle with a neighboring property. The Ranch Austin team did everything in their power to help me with the change of venue: They gave me a full refund and negotiated with my new venue to let me rent at the exact same price. They let me borrow their chairs and tablecloths at no cost and they even came and helped me set up the day before! While I loved everything about my wedding, part of me is still sad that I didn't get to have it here because it is a beautiful venue! These are genuine people who will bend over backwards to help someone. I can't be mad at the management for legally having to cancel all of their events. I'd recommend this venue and the staff to ANYONE!

I am a wedding professional who just coordinated a wedding out at Ranch Austin. The first one since their reopening. I cant say enough about how wonderful the Ranch Austin staff was. They were very accommodating and didn't bat an eye when we asked them to do something for us. They made sure my bride was happy in every way and also let us know how much they appreciated having my assistant and I at their venue because it made things easier for everyone not just the bride. The grounds of the facility are a work in progress but still beautiful and well taken care of. Due to the rain it's green and lush and I have no doubt will be even more beautiful once it's all done. Although the road in has not yet been paved we didnt experience any difficulty getting in and out of the venue, and even had three shuttle buses that came in and out with no trouble at all. They have a lot of parking although its spread out a bit but that really isn't an issue when compared to other venues. I woud suggest shuttles though if you have a bigger guest count just because it's a venue that is a little ways out of town and it's just nice to know your guests are getting home safely-an all around good idea. My bride was the venues first "Rain Plain" experience and I think we helped them identify some ways to make it even easier than it was last night. The rain made it a little problematic but I think with a covered patio and a doorway or gate in the wall between the brides room and patio will make it easy peasy! But given those small details the staff went out of their way to make sure we had options which is so nice. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful indoor/outdoor wedding facility. It's pretty, the staff is accomodating and they put their clients needs and wishes first. Thanks Ranch Austin for a great wedding on a very stormy night-the bride was happy, the parents were happy and you made our first experience out to your venue a good one which is very much appreciated!

My husband JC and I were married here and the venue was nothing short of perfect. They were so accommodating as we had to change our wedding venue just 3 weeks from our wedding date and they made the transition flawless. In all honesty, I am so glad we had to change venues because having our wedding at Ranch Austin was so much more than what we could have imagined. Indoor and outdoor venue, flexible and friendly staff, absolutely gorgeous scenery - it doesn't get much better than that. Thank you Ranch Austin and your team for sharing your wonderful space with us.

As a wedding planner, I would like to sing the praises of Ranch Austin. Every venue is different and cannot be compared apples to apples. Most venues don't have showers like another reviewer requested so it's not abnormal for RA to have things set up the way they do. The owners are kind people that operate with integrity and a lot of elbow grease. They certainly have guidelines and limitations but they do their best to be accommodating in ways other venues simply can't. The value received when booking RA given all of its amenities is something that just can't be beat. I've worked with many venues and many venue owners- RA removes the stress and brides are family, not a number.
