Quack's is cute! A lovely little spot for a nice pick me up. I'm enjoying a matcha latte with almond milk and their experimental cardamom syrup! The baristas are so friendly! :)Not a ton of seating indoors but there are two tables outside where you can chill in the shade.

It's a cute spot to grab a coffee in the Mueller area. No complaints about my iced chai latte with oat milk. Their baked goods looked good -- but it'd be nice if there were maybe an option or two of gluten-free and vegan offerings. I could see myself coming back if I need a spot to meet with a friend before walking around the area.

Was pretty disappointed. Pastry's taste like large batch baked goods and was pretty over priced for what you're getting. Costumer service was nice; however, it took over 15 minutes to get our drinks when it wasn't very busy. Overall, rating it 2 stars because the price to quality ratio just isn't there. Parking and seating is limited.

As a bakery, the baked goods were very good. The turkey and Swiss croissant was delicious, and I loved the big blueberries in the muffin. Visited on a Wednesday morning at around 10 am, but I'll have to say maybe this location is better for takeout. It took a bit longer than what I'd usually expect to get my drink orders (a latte and an iced coffee). Limited outdoor seating, and had to swat flies every couple of seconds.

Although it looks like the tiramisu has been sitting out for a while, it's pretty good! I think the moisture makes the cake look a bit soggy, but still tastes good. I enjoyed the outdoor seating, the weather was pretty nice and there's plenty of seats to choose from. Service was nice, everyone was friendly.

Quack's is a great local bakery with plenty of options for every type of sweet tooth. Nevertheless, I come here for one thing and one thing only: a slice of carrot cake. Carrot cake is by far my go-to for an after-dinner sweet treat, and they do a nice job with it here. Once every other month, my boyfriend and I drive over to Quack's after dinner to grab a slice of carrot cake for me and a cookie or two for him. At night, they run BOGO deals on specific items, which is always a plus. Parking is easy in the free and open spaces in front of the bakery. A few spots right in front are accessible, too. They have one or two tables outside, as well, in case you want to eat your treat right then and there. The only downside to Quack's is the look of the inside. It looks a bit run-down and in desperate need of a makeover. Looks like it hasn't been touched in decades. This doesn't take away from the quality of the food itself, but it is certainly something that has caught my eye. Randomly, the last 4 times I've been here, there is always an unhoused man laying on the ground in front of the doors charging his phone in an outdoor outlet. Nothing wrong with charging your phone, of course, but I've almost tripped on him several time.

Nice little pastry spot with creative cupcakes. There were a lot of people that came in after me so they get a lot of business. The cupcake was okay--not too bad, but nothing to rave about either. I received my items relatively quick after ordering them. I would like to try some other items, but for this trip I just bought a few cupcakes and shortbread cookies.

Well I rated them with 5 stars BUT I have never been there or even heard of them before. My oldest grandson is getting married and his bride, Camille, swears by them being the best.....ever........so they are actually doing their wedding cake and I happily said we would pay for it. So the jury is still out on taste and appearance, so in other words.......to be continued. Oh the wedding is in early March so you will hear from me after that. Love, blessings

Originally known as Captain Quackenbush's Intergalactic Dessert Company & Espresso Cafe when it was first founded in 1983, this iconic Austin institution has sprouted into three locations dotting the city north to south, with at least slightly less wordy monikers. The desserts, however, are still a mouthful, with absolutely stellar muffins and cookies in full display. For vegan options, you can always rely on their Blueberry Lemon or Chocolate Ganache cupcakes. While the chocolate cake seems to get more attention, also frequently available by the slice and a full 10-inch round ready to go, the delicate fruity flavor of the former is a greater prize in my eyes. Covered with a dense plume of pale lilac buttercream, it has a gentle hint of sweet citrus, balanced and invigorating.

First time here, and first impression wasn't too great. Customer service was pretty much non existent. We weren't greeted, no one asked if we were ready to order or what they could get us. When I was ready to order, I went up to the lady standing behind the counter and we pretty much just stared at each other because she didn't say a word. No Hi, how can I help you? What can I get you? Nothing! So I said, I'm ready to order and then gave my order. The only thing she said was if I was getting anything else in a very neutral tone. When she gave me my stuff, still not a word from her. So I just grabbed my stuff and left. At least the brownie and cupcake I got were actually pretty good. Items were a bit pricey for the size you get. With that type of customer service I wouldn't return though.
