Rating as an "experience"... old time country saloon with great music, live bands!! You can get a feel for Texas! The bands are fun, crowded with some regulars and it reminds me of when I was a kid. Food is bar food like other places, service is friendly. Fun lace to visit. Older crowd that loves to have fun when I was there.

Came in on a Saturday night, very packed, 20$ cover charge.Dress code: casualFood: 3/5. We ordered the Philly wrap and the chicken tenders. Philly wrap (really, 2 Philly cheese steak soft tacos) was actually quite good, very flavorful with a kick. The chicken tenders with gravy were just ok, somewhat bland and fries were seasoned unevenly.Ambiance 1/5: live music gave the place potential but, problem was lack of seating anywhere. Definitely need to reserve seating if you're going to come at prime time otherwise probably won't enjoy yourself too muchService 4/5: great service given how busy it was, very helpful to newcomers and found us to bring us our food but food was slow to come out.Value 2/5: with cover charge, not really worth the price. Maybe ok value if the country dive bar atmosphere is your thing.Parking: parking lot

We have been going to Poodies sense we moved to Texas around 4 years ago. We don't come in often maybe every 3 to 4 months. We paid our cover charge of $10.00 a person and wanted to have drinks and dinner. We both had two troubles, a cheeseburger and a chicken wrap $140.00. With a $20.00 added gratuity. I was in shock it's usually 80.00 max. Tonight I was more dressed up with makeup on and they charged me double plus added charges!

Ah, the Honky-Tonk dive bar. An endangered species in our society. They have beer. They have booze. They have a stage with live music every day. Burgers are really good. Service is friendly. A little slow but not outrageously so. Plenty of outdoor seating if the band is too loud for you.

A must stop in Spicewood! Obviously, the local Roadhouse and live music venue, great for mid-day all the way into late night. Unexpected is that it's a great place for lunch, and honestly the best salads in Spicewood! Large, fresh, with great options, and very reasonably priced. The sandwiches are all fantastic, with my favorite being the chicken Philly, but don't miss the Poodie Burger if you're hungry.

Had not been here for a long time. It's not that I don't like the place but I live in north Austin got you about 25 or 30 miles from my house. After all these years they still have some of the best burgers in town. Stopped there on my way back from Marble Falls to have lunch. The bartender was very friendly and nice. Ended up getting a Poodie melt with fries. One of the best I've ever had! Just a few regulars in the place early in the afternoon but I'm sure it's jamming tonight with some live music and it's a great outdoor deck. Almost makes me want to move out to Spicewood so I can go there on a regular basis. One of my best friends loved the place and used to go out there all the time. He used to be friends with the original owner Poodie Locke. Don't miss it if you're out that way!

Not the top of the list. Or the bottom. Drive by many of times and it looked attractive to try. Bar and bar type foods. Nothing spectacular. Reasonably priced and average service.

We recently ordered in and the take out was amazing! Such great food! Hoping to visit in person soon!

What a fun dive bar. The atmosphere was definitely country western and felt very "old-timer Texan." I brought my mom and her husband here when they were visiting from out of town. They were in love with Poodies! The band that played that night was outstanding and we had so much fun dancing the night away. The food was delicious, greasy bar food and the people watching that evening made it even more superb. I would highly recommend visiting Poodies if you want a country feel to your night.

I've been to my fair share of restaurants. Pootie's is a diamond in the rough. Although the restaurant could use a bit of TLC, the food more than makes up for it.I tried the brisket, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The mac and cheese was also amazing - so creamy and cheesy. And I can't forget about the drinks - they have a great selection of beers on tap.Our waitress, who was originally from Chicago, was fantastic. She was super friendly and attentive throughout our meal.super cute bartender too. Could not hear the inside music from outside, but will try it again soon. The one downside was the noise from 71 - it could be pretty distracting at times. But overall, I highly recommend for anyone looking for music food and drinks
