This is my go-to spot for poke in Austin. It's the closest you'll get to the authentic way of ordering like you would in Hawaii. My favorite is the Big Jim, which I always get by the pound along with a side of rice--that's the way to do it! None of the "poke bowl" extras like corn, mango, or whatever else mainland poke has turned into. The prices are fair, and while it's more of a takeout or quick lunch kind of spot, it's perfect for those who want quality, authentic poke without the fluff. The staff is always friendly and greats you with a smile.

Still the best, most authentic poke in the city! Pricy for the portions, but worth it if you simply want genuine poke without too many frills. I usually go for the "large" size bowl (2 scoops + a base), but recently I've felt that the 1/2 LB. of poke + 8 oz. of rice is a better deal (more filling and around the same price as a large bowl depending on what you select).Fast, casual service. Limited seating indoors and on their patio. Happy hour is daily from 4:30-6pm, with $2 off beer, wine, and sake and 10% off poke. My favorites are The OG, Big Jim, and the Yowza Yuzu. Parking is a small, private, one-way lot or street parking. Can't wait to revisit when I feel like splurging a bit on the best quality and flavor poke!

probably the best / close to authentic poke in town to what they have in Hawaii ! $15 for 1 scoop of salmon and scoop of rice. Taste amazing.Ambience : the store is kind of small, but super cozy vibe with a few slot outdoor Parking : it is 1 way parking and it's kind of tight , but at least it's free ;) no complain !

I haven't been here in ages but I went recently and it was good as the first time I've had it! I got the 50/50 Ahi & Salmon with JT Poke sauce and I really enjoyed it.

Great taste - just be prepared to be hungry when you leave with a much lighter wallet. 4 stars for food, 2 stars for quantity, 1 star for cost. The freshness of my ahi and salmon with the spicy "JJ" sauce was very good. My wife ordered a 2-scoops salmon bowl and the preparer was flexible in making it gluten free. The menu made it hard to supplement the dish as nearly every add-on was $0.50 to $2 extra. I added nothing and my wife selected avocado ($2$ and mango (0.50). When we paid nearly $50 for these two orders (about $15 more than other places), I was surprised. When we got the order, I was stunned. It was served in a small cardboard tray about the size of a French dryer at In-n-Out...the volume was extremely disappointing. The ambiance was marginal. It's a small place with a counter and a few tables;, at 8P the 2 staff members were playing some kind of grinding metal/thrasher music and had anime on the TV. Go to Pokeworks instead.

There are quite a few poke places in austin, but none like poke poke. This is the only poke place I feel confident knowing I'm getting good quality raw fish. I always eat the Lil Ahi Poke JT's style, and it never disappoints. The staff is so kind and welcoming, often remembering me and my order. It's genuinely a great experience. 4 stars because of the price. I feel like every few months it gets more and more expensive. For my small bowl (one scoop of poke and one scoop of white rice) and a drink, it's $17.50 + tip. Definitely a good place to eat if you're not starving, as the portions would be too small (unless you get a pound, which would be upward of $35). But nonetheless, I always come back, the quality and service outweighs the steep pricing.

This is by far the best poke I have ever had. Tried out the spicy option JT's and it was amazing. The service is was quick and the person taking the order was pleasant and helped me decide on what to get. Located on South Congress, this is cute lil place opposite St. Edwards University. It offers plenty of parking spots. The only reason for 4 stars is its quite on the expensive side. The food is without a doubt of good quality but 22$ for a poke bowl with rice seemed very steep.

Overpriced. I mean way overpriced. Serving portions way too small. Stay away. Fish not fresh at all either.

absolute gem of a poke place. Go there a few times a week for super fresh, super tasty tuna and salmon mixed into various rice based bowls. The labors combinations are awesome. Several quality draft beer choices. Always a really helpful and friendly staff. Enjoy

If you're looking for a good dinner, stay far away from Poke Poke. The poke itself is a not bad, but certainly not great--but the service is where things really fall apart. While the man at the front was friendly, the bigger guy with the beard (not the one with the goatee) was downright rude, lacking even the basic courtesy you'd expect from a place that wants your money. To top it off, I paid $2 for avocado and got only two small pieces--barely enough to notice. If you enjoy being overcharged and treated like an inconvenience, this is your spot--otherwise, keep walking.
