Pita Shack

Hidden in a plaza in Pflugerville, Pita Shack is a small family business that knows how to prepare some tender and well seasoned chicken! I'm a sucker for a good chicken wrap so of course I went with that. Again, fabulous seasoning! The pita itself was a good size and the chicken was definitely the star of the show, but I think it could've had more diverse fixings in it, it was just the chicken some lettuce and pickles and tomatoes. Felt pretty simple to me. I had ordered some side of hot sauce and it was like a Cholula/Tabasco sauce which I didn't think paired well.It's okay though, again the chicken is great! The space is tiny, so probably not great for large groups. They only serve bottled water too, so heads up there! The service was excellent, the lady who assisted us was very kind and helpful with the questions we had about the menu. I'd probably give it another shot if I'm in the area!

My wife and I came to Pita Shack for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, around 2 PM. The restaurant was not busy at this time--we walked in with no line in front of us. You place your order at the counter and then have a seat. The front of the restaurant itself isn't very large--there's about 6-8 tables maybe, probably not a great spot for groups larger than 8 people on a busy day. The woman behind the counter was very nice and polite. She took our order without any issues. The food didn't take long to come out either! I ordered the "Beef Shawarma Pita-Wrap" and an 8oz Hummus. The wrap wasn't amazing, but it was good! The pita came out so soft and warm and the meat was tender and flavorful. You can't tell from my picture, but it felt like there was a little too much lettuce in the wrap--I felt like it chilled my wrap quickly, and taking big bites full of lettuce wasn't super appetizing for me. The hummus was good--8 oz is a good amount, we just wish it came with more pita. We were given 4 pieces. Overall a fine experience--we felt like we paid a lot for what we actually got. We might come back if we're in the area, and will try some different menu options.

Really good food, love the meats especially. Fatima was the server and she did a great job explaining the different options.

What a great place for a quick/ late night bite in pflugerville!We went into this location and ordered the falafel pita and the falafel plate. Both were great! The falafel was delicious and little dense but very flavorful! The hummus was so good , creamy and perfectly blended with seasonings! I really enjoyed the rice as well! The purpled pickled things on my plate were delicious I'm not sure what they were but I'd probably get extra next time. My pita bread was a little hard but wasn't too bad when I reheated it in the toaster oven. The white sauce was out of this world , lots of flavor im glad I got some on the side as the amount on the plate wasn't near enough Good size serving.The establishment is a bit small and you can tell it has been there for a while with no upgrades. The counter/table tops were sticky- not dirty stick but maybe the paint or something. Not sureWe actually ordered our food for dine in but they bagged it up and gave it to us to go which after sitting and feeling the sticky table I was glad they packed it to go. Again it wasn't dirty but just naturally sticky for whatever reason. 10/10 recommend for a to go order any time!!

We got the chicken plate and a lamb-Iraqi wrap. The wrap was delicious! The chicken plate was a little dry, it comes with a small side of tzatziki sauce on the side (definitely not enough). Regardless, it was a good meal. We ordered online for pickup. Staff was friendly on pickup.

The meat were tasty and cooked beautifully. Rice was seasoned well. Pita bread had good crunch at the bottom making it good pair with their homemade hummus. A good meal on a friday evening.

Somebody previously complained about receiving barely two slices of pepperoni per pizza slice. Well, we ended up with four... on the ENTIRE pie. I challenge anyone to surpass that!As I said in my last review, this place is off my radar. However, a relative wanted to try the pizza here so we ordered pickup. It has become unmistakably clear that this is a subpar establishment with ridiculous prices. I genuinely hate this place.

First time visiting this business. I ordered lamb over rice, which is their Kabab platter. Since I didn't know how much meat would be included, the associate went to the back and grabbed a piece of meet with gloves on and then placed it back. Up until that point I was sort of okay with that. But then after my transaction was processed with the same gloves, the associate processed another cash transaction and dealt with the money using the same gloves with which he held the piece of meat he showed me. Then again, with the same gloves, the associate went back to pour my rice in the plate. I kindly asked for my money back, and they were kind and respectful about it and reimbursed me in cash, even though I paid with a card. Card would've taken up to 10 days to reimburse.I appreciate how cooperative the business manager was with me. They even offered to make me a new plate. But I could not do it. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning here. I hope they make serious changes to their sanitary practices, otherwise this exposes people to unnecessary health risks.

Fatima was such a great help explaining the dishes to me. Did not rush me or push any suggestions on me! She was very patient!Food was wonderful as well! Check this place out!!

We used to frequent this restaurant, but after this experience we won't be going back. The portion sizes for the price is ridiculously small. I wish I would have taken a picture of the beef salad my partner ordered. It was in the smallest container ever. And the large side of hummus only came with 1 pita bread. We had tons of hummus left over after we ate the bread. We will be looking for another restaurant when we are craving Mediterranean food.
