Phil's Icehouse

One of the best family friendly restaurants in town, Phil's has great burgers and sides, stapled on with an Amy's next door and a playground for the kids, this is the perfect weekend lunch hangout spot for families. Portions and prices are great too!I deviated from my usual order and got the 78750 instead of the 78704 and while it was a decent burger, missed the jalepeno kick. Generally I find the patties to be underseasoned at Phil's but the burger composition itself is great. Also tried to be "healthy" with the fried green beans and those were a hit with the table - far superior to fries, but comes with the upcharge. But worth it.All in all, will be here plenty with the family!

This review if only for Uber delivery service (have not had the pleasure of going into the restaurant as of yet)! My husband and I have had a LOT of burgers in our lifetime, and in many states..but this place is "HANDS DOWN..BEST BURGER WE HAVE EVERY HAD"! OMG...sooo damm good!We tried it on a whim, when it came up on our Uber app. We are glad they deliver to Leander! THANK YOU! When we get down to Austin, we WILL stop in!I don't have pictures, as we devoured them sooo fast! The fries, as you know, usually, when delivered, get soggy...not these! They stayed nice and fresh! Unfortunately, the sweet potato ones, did (a little). But, my husband and I have ordered twice from from them, and they were "finger licking good" (* I know...phrase for another place...lol)!First time, he got the "chili" burger, called the " Crestview, and wanted the was with egg and bacon, called the "Jollyville". Second time, he got the fried onion one, called the "78750" and I got the bacon one called "Brentwood". GREAT flavor on ALL of them. Bun was still intacked (again, not soggy from delivery)! You can tell the meat is FRESH and NOT frozen! Hope to drive down and be there in person soon! :)

Great place for kid's. We love the playground and the overall vibe. Food is good and comes out fast. Amy's ice cream next door if I ever need a dessert. Service was good. This place is always in my rotation especially when the weather is nice.

Man I never make the trip into Austin but we met up with some friends that were passing the area and they said to check this place out. 100% best burger I've had in quite some time, the bread they use for the buns is super tasty. I got a burger (can't reminder the name, it was a zip code like 78604 or something) that had jalepenos, house sauce and pepper jack cheese, it kinda fell apart but honestly that's a great sign for a burger like this. Service was friendly and efficient. Playground was perfect for the kids to play. I honestly hate going into Austin these days but I'd go back just to try another burger here

We went here for a play date! As a parent of a small child living up NW, this place is a great option for the whole family. The playground is nice, and the burgers and fries are pretty decent. I love that you can order mini versions of their burgers. We shared the 3 mini option with a side of mixed fries (regular and sweet potato) which was really nice. My only complaint is the noise. We showed up at opening time (11am) on Saturday, and it got very busy and loud quickly. Tip: We went next door into Amy's ice cream to borrow some crayons and paper, where it was blissfully quiet and calm.

I ate Phil's Icehouse a lot as a teen. My mom loved that they're usually right next door to an Amy's Ice Cream. I remembered it being fire and now I live right around the corner from one, so I decided to take a trip down memory lane.The food is not bad, it's a good burger. The sweet bun is yummy. The bacon was perfect. Patty tasted kinda under seasoned, but I'm also a big salt&pepper-lover-gal. Okay fries. For some reason it just didn't hit the way I expected it to, especially because that's a pretty good looking burger IMO lol. I think I might just prefer a good ole salty, greasy cheeseburger - this one's definitely not my favorite in Austin.

I love the turkey burgers at Phil's Icehouse! I walk in there and they know me by name and remember my order. Food is always made to order so it's hot and yummy. The people that work there are always so friendly and serve with a smile.

Ok I know it's the popular burger but I really enjoy eating the "78704" Burger and I can't wait to order it again. Phils ice house has never failed

Went here for the first time with some friends and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was cooked well and not too big for the bun and the fries were great! It's hard to get a good French fry these days, but I was very happy with these! The staff were friendly and helpful and the dining experience was very clean and comfortable. They had a playground for kids, which was really fun and being next to an Amy's was definitely a bonus!

What a dump! Sticky floors, no AC, and dated depressing interior. Felt bad for the employees.Went for the outside playhouse in for my toddler. Outside was okay. Too many used cups and straws all over the ground but the playhouse itself was cool and had enough seating. Most of it is gated except one side so felt safe to let the kiddo run around while we eat.The adult chicken tenders rank as one of the worst I have ever had. After a few minutes, the meat dried up and was hard and pretty much inedible. The mixed fried (regular fries and sweet potato fries) were pretty good. The fish sandwich is on par with McDonald's fish fillet sandwich except more expensive. Service was good and helpful. If there's a next time, I'll opt for the burgers as that's their main thing.
