I had one of the best dining experiences of my life at this restaurant. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted and seated in their stylish "intro" lounge and bar. Although I opted out of the arrival cocktail, they graciously offered me a glass of Pinot Noir instead, and it was absolutely delicious. After enjoying a few appetizers, we were ushered into the main kitchen area--a true highlight of the evening. Watching the chefs create their culinary masterpieces in real-time was fascinating and added a unique touch to the experience.Every dish throughout the night was exceptional, but two stood out to me: one featuring a delectable broth and another showcasing perfectly cooked Wagyu beef. Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact names as we didn't receive a menu until the end, so I couldn't jot down notes. The service was impeccable--attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance. After dinner, we relaxed in their cozy sitting lounge, enjoying another drink and reflecting on the incredible evening we'd just had.I can't wait to return!

What a phenomenal experience. We decided to give Pasta Bar a go to celebrate a big occasion for my wife, and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, the servers were extremely attentive to our every need. They very clearly are passionate about what they do, and you can see it in their customer interactions and the way they talk about each of the plates. The food was phenomenal as well. Each dish was very carefully crafted and coursed out with elaborate detail by the servers. Is the restaurant pricey? Yes. Are you served a ton of pasta? No (you are served a ton of courses and food though). Is the experience worth it? Absolutely.

Absolutely delicious! Came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Service is impeccable-every dish is explained. We got new utensils every time we finished a dish and they even remembered that my boyfriend can't have carbonated drinks. The plates themselves are so beautiful. We were told that one of the plates is from Spain and cost $90. I absolutely enjoyed the sauces poured over the dishes. The only part I think was too much was the sourdough bread. They give you this bread in the beginning, but it can quickly fill you up, so you may not want to finish all of it to start. Since we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, they had a candle lit up for his dessert. It is about 11 courses with some appetizers and surprises at the end. Dishes:Margarita's SourdoughFregula (salad with roe)Crudo (buttermilk, dill)Capeletti (uni, peas)Gnudo (kimchi, schug)Spaghetti (scallop, broccoli)Rigatoni (peppers, artichoke)Morel (the mushroom is my favorite!!)Agnolotti (lamb)Custard (in a bone marrow)Gelato (geranium, strawberry) Thank you cookies are given at the end. I highly recommend coming here for a special occasion! Reservations can be made in advance. We were so full and satisfied after coming here.

Have no clue how this place has less than 5 stars, we have been to a few of the scratch restaurants and this one soared past all expectations. Cost may look pricey but you are paying for the experience and let me tell you- it's well worth it. This spot is hard to find, walking down the east side you could easily walk past it as there's no sign and it's a dark area you can't really see into. Feels almost like a speakeasy. Upon walking in you're greeted by a few folks at a beautiful bar with unique/chic seating and decor. You're treated with a welcome cocktail and a set of welcome horderves all of which were to die for. After you finish up they walk you into the main dining room - still intimate setting instead with a direct view of the live kitchen! You can choose to do a wine pairing, they have various cocktail options as well including beers if that's your speed. Directly upon entering the main dining room the chefs start bringing over the first course. I won't spoil it but every flavor from start to finish was seriously indescribable. After several main courses we were getting full, however, you're treated with a palate cleanser that I could've eaten 10 of, so light, crisp, and refreshing. They timed it perfectly and it almost brings you out of the food coma and back to be ready for more. The dessert again was decadent, unlike anything I've tried before. All that to say, you need to try this place! We will be back. A-Z a perfect experience and the service was outstanding to top it all off. Thanks for an incredible experience y'all!

Pasta Bar Austin is a real life version of The Bear This was the coolest food experience. The pasta was delicious. The service was excellent and we had the best time! One of the highlights is the open kitchen. You're watching each chef create a dish then bring you the dish and tell you what they created each dish is so different. You'll try traditional pastas and a few dishes they create themselves! you won't leave hungry! The pasta bar is not just about the food, yes the foods amazing but you get to see, hear, and experience these chefs in the kitchen. You feel like you're in the kitchen hearing everyone say the dishes and my favorite "yes, chef"

First off, the ambiance and the service were spectacular. It was really cool to see the process unfold right before our eyes and to have the staff anticipate our every need. The food expanded our tasting horizon, we loved the loaf from 60 year old sourdough starter especially and the wine pairing to with the menu was perfect in every way. Our only 2 criticisms for the food are: (1) It is a lot! We found it difficult to finish towards the couple of courses, a good problem to have I suppose. (2) The vegetarian menu is creative but the use of eggplant on the last course was underwhelming, we felt it could have been cooked a little longer and softer. That said, this is an incredible experience and I highly recommend it.

I'm pretty sure pasta bar is my favorite restaurant in Austin. To start, the service is immaculate and the head chef can cook for me any day. He's nice, charismatic and has quite the culinary pedigree. If you dine here ask him about his culinary history, you'll be like damn, yes sir. What's next sir.The menu changes weekly as they add new things and get rid of older items so every few months or month they'll have a whole new menu.6/5 stars!!!!!!

Pasta Bar is absolutely unreal. As others have said, it feels like being in The Bear. I know the "parent" restaurant in LA has a Michelin star, but now that we are getting the Michelin Guide in Texas, this location absolutely deserves it too. The food was creative and appropriately portioned for so many courses. The bread is delightful but don't fill up on it - you will need room for all of the pasta courses! Our menu included proteins like shrimp, chicken, trout roe, sea bass, and lamb. All were equally incredible. The standout feature is the service and experience. We were welcomed in by name and seated with a welcome cocktail and 4 off-menu canapés. We had no idea we would be moved into the kitchen for the main meal, so it was a VERY fun surprise when the sommelier brought us back! Through the entire meal, everyone was proud to present the dishes in front of us and made sure we were having a great time. We did not add on the wine pairings, so the sommelier helped us pick glasses to enjoy with the right part of the meal. I sincerely have never had a better dining experience. I am so excited to have this caliber of restaurant in Austin. GO!

This was genuinely the best meal of my entire life and one that we will remember forever. It is extremely expensive however if you love and appreciate food/dining this is the experience you need. Everyone that works here is beyond attentive to make sure you feel comfortable and special for your meal. Given it only seats 10 people it is intimate and amazing as you can watch the food art come to life as you are right there in the kitchen. The food is insanely unique and delicious, we loved every bite!!! We came to celebrate our upcoming wedding and will be talking about this day now forever. I highly recommend the wine pairing if you enjoy wine as it complements each dish perfectly and you get to hear some background on each tasting as to where it came from/why it was picked for the menu. Definitely give this place a try for your next special occasion. Spots do fill up quickly so make a reservation in advance!

Absolutely loved our experience here. They move you through three different seating areas for the night - one for your initial light bites where they also give you a pre-dinner drink, one where the main courses are served, and one for after dinner where they finish the night off with an after dinner drink and small sweet bites. The entire evening was so enjoyable and absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly nice, fun to chat with, and knowledgeable.Highly recommend coming here!
