Papi's Hoagies

Papi's is probably the best sandwich in Austin right now. They used to be down the street and they moved into one of the best food truck parks in town... great tacos, great BBQ, and now great deli sandwiches. Just look at the photo of my sandwich if you want to be convinced.

I love this place! The Italian hoagie is so simple, and comes with the sauce on the side so it doesn't get too mushy.It's in the Arbor Food Park, along with some other really great trucks, so you can share all sorts of things.The service is always quick and friendly, and they have little fly fans in case you decide to dine in.

This is a perfectly ratio'd Italian sandwich. The bread was just the texture I like with the right amount of chew. Forget crunchy or crispy toasted bread, this is better, focus on the ingredients inside the sandwich.I also opted for both the spicy mayo and the spicy relish on mine and I thought it really elevated the flavor to the next level. The Italian sandwich would've been great without those, but adding a spicy kick is highly recommended. If you like sandwiches, then try Papi's out!

As someone who's a huge sub snob, Papi's has hit the mark. I love me a food truck, as most of my meals come from them but I've never been so impressed by how I'm served at a food truck. Papi's serves you your sandwich, chips and drink on a wooden tray. Sure, it's a small part of it but it really enhanced the experience.I got the Original Italian and really loved how much lettuce they put on my sandwich, it gave a cold crunch. The bread was a wonderful texture and overall, I was incredibly impressed. Additionally, everyone was so nice on the truck. Can't wait to come back to see them.

Papi's popped up while searching for some instant gratification lunch delivery and I decided to stop thinking at that point.The menu is short and sweet, with one vegan option: The Sustainable Sandwich. The tofu in this thing is generous, marinated right down to the core with a savory soy infusion, and meaty yet moist. You've got a standard battery of shredded lettuce dressed in olive oil and vinegar, with a delightfully peppery bite. When in doubt, add avocado, and it's a perfectly balanced meal. Everything you want, nothing you don't, healthy enough to eat on the regular but special enough to feel like a treat.Thanks for the bright spot in a dismal day, Papi.

Cute little food Mecca downtown Austin. Gave me the feeling of being back in San Francisco and enjoying a casual atmosphere around food trucks. refreshing to see picnic tables under a little forest of trees to relax and retreat from the sunlight beating down. Papi's food truck delivers! Fresh submarine sandwiches better than I've had anywhere in Austin so far. This is what I come for. Drop by and say hey to these guys. We were in the area for Ensenada but I feel like we really scored with this place. We only got the tuna salad sandwich but man was it good. Bread was great, tuna salad was fresh tasting (and not watered down), loved the seasoned onions and tomatoes. Also man, that sauce they give you is straight crack. It brought the sandwich to a whole new level. Will definitely be back for their Italian

We got the Italian Hoagie. So good! So fresh. The vinaigrette was delicious. The employees were also very friendly. We'll be back!

I hate writing reviews with less than 4 stars so I only write this because I believe in the potential of this food truck!Great ingredients, SUPERB staff and owners. My only gripe, which is a major one, the bread is dry as hell.Bread really becomes a major player in any good sandwich. I was unable to enjoy this sandwich because of how dry it was. Would love if this food truck found a new supplier for bread or found a way to get a fresher loaf. If so, I look forward to frequenting this place more often!

Delicious , mucked down a classic italian in 45 seconds. Nestled in a little food truck market. Come check out Papis, no line and great service.
