They have some fun looking bakery items but I wanted something soft so I got a cup of jello pieces mixed in with a milk pudding jello of some type. The workers there only spoke Spanish with a little bit of English so I'm not quite sure what it's called but it's super delicious! I wish they would replace that boring icky buffet jello with little cups of this stuff!

I had a pretty good time checking this place out. Through a chain of events I missed the exit to my golds gym. Seeing the traffic going south there was no way I was back tracking so I gps'd the next closest Golds and went there. It shared a parking lot with Panderia Chuy's.After my workout I decided I needed to check this place out, I know, I know.As soon as I walked in it smelled great and I saw all the fresh pan being put in the display. I picked up a tray and brought it home to the family! Everything was great, I will defiantly be back.

Tried this place for the first time at 9:30 at night. It was still open and full of people. Very sanitary and the breads and desserts were so fresh. I originally thought that the concha and Mexican desserts were hard and try but this place disproved my initial impressions from either Fiesta or other Mexican Markets. Most breads were very inexpensive. $1.00 each or so which is cheaper than Asian Bakeries (Generally $2.99 per bread) and especially going to an American Grocery ($3.99 per bread) store. I saw that they also have items for lunch, tacos, platos, etc. I would love to support and try it out. I had the concha, beso, and what looked like a small flat muffin shape pound cake with the top dipped in chocolate, harden and a whop of fresh whipped cream (taste like Starbucks Homemade Whipped Cream) on top + cherry. :)Don't be hesitant since it's not a Whole Foods or the HEB Grocery shop. Try it. In-taking different food cultures, especially this one, can be a glorious thing.

This is going to be an unusual review. This Mexican Bakery is reminiscent of when I was a kid with my mom. On Sundays we'd head over to the panderia and buy sweet bread, cookies and all sorts of weird looking pastries and candies you'd see in Mexico close to the border. We would then go over to my grandmas house and they would have coffee and eat sweetbread until late in the afternoon and we'd snack and nap.I still don't know what everything is called here but when you have a big metal pan and a super long pair of tongs you'll load it up until it resembles a pyramid. All for CHEAP.

This bakery is huge!! You no longer have to drive to San Antonio for authentic Mexican baked goods. This South Austin bakery is a gem. I can't believe I passed by it many times without giving it a glance. Be prepared for a sugar overload b/c there is no such thing as diet when you walk in. The pastries are affordable. There are so many to choice from that it can be a bit overwhelming. They have another section of the bakery that seems to sell food....which I haven't tried. Definitely check them out the next time you get a Mexican bread craving!

If you want delicious, freshly made, sweet bread, then this is the place to go. The bakery has a fantastic variety of mouth watery baked goodies. Moreover, they also sell tacos, quesadillas and other Mexican plates with fresh waters in case you want to grab a quick dinner or lunch. The place is also clean and well maintained. We'll be coming back for more!!!n

The food smell really good in there and i was starving!!! I decided to get a cubana torta. I needed something greasy and meaty. I told them to put everything in it... it cost me 7.45 no drink just a sandwich. I got my sandwich and when I opened it I was a Lil disappointed. It's just a plain sandwich with all sorts of meat with mayo lettuce tomato and avocado. No sauce nothing heart clogging goodness that I've had in various restaurant when I order a Cubanas torta. Doesn't even have a lingering heat or taste it's just a mayo sandwich. Quite disappointed :-( did I get tricked?

Don't get the breakfast tacos!!! Had three tacos with bacon in them and the bacon was all fat!! Also very small amounts in their tacos. Wait staff was rude and didn't even tell us our food was ready. Save yourself the time and money and go to the taco cabana across the street, you'll get way better tasting and bigger tacos in less time. The sweets look good though!

Basically, this place is mostly a mexican bakery with typical mexican food fare on the other side. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy all your treats, and the service is was great, even on a very busy Sunday. Bakery: whoa. I actually walked in and felt my eyes spinning. As a person with little Mexican bakery experience, I felt overwhelmed. I have been to many places with a counter filled with goodies, but this place is chock full of them. TREATS EVERYWHERE! You grab a big tray and tongs and go to town. My husband and I just kept piling them on and it was less than $12. I really like that they also had savory options too. I had something that was like a chicken tinga pastry. Very flaky, with wonderful flavors. Also, the "american-style" donuts are better than pretty much any other donut ever. Very hearty, not like melt in your mouth Krispy Kreme. We also grabbed some Al Pastor tacos, and they were just as good as everything else! Lots of pina and meat on that taco. Well worth your money.Overall, the food quality, selection, and service was all top notch. And on top of all that, it is an amazing value! I'll be back when I'm in that neck of the woods.

Amazing selection of sweet bread and treats! My kids loved the process... You get a tray and fill it what whatever treats you want! The fun part is browsing and seeing the many treats available! Pricing is on the front of all casing and you go at your own pace so there's never really a line per se! Check out was extremely fast and they offer an array of food items and cake and ice cream as well! there's plenty of seating to eat and fresh squeezed juices! This will def be a place we will continue to come back to! very well priced!
