Oye Taquito

First off, let me tell you, the street tacos at Oye Taquito hit sooooo hard! The cheese on top was absolute perfection, melted just right, and you could taste the love in every bite. The tacos were prepared with so much care it really felt like they were cooking just for me. The cashier, such a sweet and welcoming lady, greeted me with a smile that set the tone for the whole experience.What really sealed the deal, though, was the energy coming from the back of the truck. I could hear the cooks singing, laughing, and jamming to some great Mexican music. That vibe alone had me thinking, "Yep, this is gonna be special," and boy, did they deliver!My boyfriend and I barely made it home before absolutely demolishing everything. The tacos were packed with so much flavor I had to sneak one from my boyfriend's plate because I couldn't get enough! My only minor note is that the flauta filling could use a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavors. But even with that, it's hard to beat the freshness, quality, and incredible taste they serve up.Overall, Oye Taquito is that perfect neighborhood spot that feels like a warm hug in taco form. If you're looking for authentic flavor, good vibes, and food made with heart, this is it. Do yourself a favor and go try it--you won't regret it!

We came here on a Friday evening before heading for drinks downtown. There was no wait when we arrived. The staff was friendly and took our order right away. However the food took extremely long to come out & our meal didn't even have meat. My quesadilla was supposed to have avocado however half way through I noticed it did not, I was hungry and we had somewhere to be so I did not bring it to their attention as at this point there were multiple people in line as well as waiting for their order.This is a typical food truck with picnic tables to eat at. The flavor of everything was fabulous , including the salsas, Pricing was good and I'll definitely stop by again if I'm the area. 5/5 for food 1 star taken away for wait time and missing ingredients.

I visited at 8 PM with a group of friends, and there was no line, which was a good start. I ordered two Al Pastor taco plates, along with beans and a Coke. Unfortunately, we noticed a strange smell in some areas of the seating area , but we brushed it off. After waiting for 25 minutes, my order was finally called, but only one taco plate had been rung up. When I brought this up, the cashier claimed it was because I requested no onions, which was not the case--I had asked for everything on my tacos. We had to pay for the missing order and wait an additional 20 minutes, despite the place not being busy.For such a long wait, I expected the food to at least be fresh and hot, but it wasn't. The tacos were good, but nothing special especially considering all the factors. Overall, the experience fell short, and the prices just don't justify the quality. I'd recommend Cuantos Tacos or other spots for better food and service.

I'm not sure why this place isn't more packed. Some of the best street tacos you're going to find in Austin.Everything I've had here has been top notch.

After attending a show in the area, we did a quick search for food trucks that were still open that late and found that Oye Taquito was a quick 5 min drive away! Their beef flautas give you that satisfying crunch with every bite, and pairs perfectly with the light crema fresca that comes with it. The plate also includes a larger-than-expected serving of salad with avocado, tomato, and cotija cheese that is refreshing and balances the fried flavors. Their beef tostadas are messy but filling, too! Definitely a great option if you have the post-bar munchies, and their outdoor seating area is pretty big.

I haven't been to Oye Taquito in a while since they packed up their Sunset Valley location and moved to East Austin - and I was super excited because it had the best street tacos in ATX in my opinion. I hate to say it, but something changed - the presentation was still fantastic, but the food wasn't nearly what it once was. Maybe the tortillas were different but the meat was just not that good - this is referring to the bistec tacos. They've also jacked up prices by i want to say 30% - I believe they were 10 or 11 bucks and I know they're $14 now - obviously inflation caused that, but I wonder if food costs caused them to change suppliers. Meat was just not good, and salad was old, - brown lettuce and such.I am still giving 3 stars but probably should be 2. I'm hoping you find the magic you used to have - we left and went 500 meters down the road to Trancas, which does really awesome Tripe and Campechanos tacos.

Popped by this food truck while I was in Austin and it definitely hit the spot! The mini tacos were so cute and also super delicious. They may look small but they are packed with flavor and meat so they were pretty filling. The quesadilla was also super delicious with the best cheese pull.If you're looking for a delicious taco/quesadilla spot especially one that open late, you can go wrong with this one. It did take a little longer for us to get our food even though there weren't many people but it was worth the wait!

The food and service was GREAT! We ordered for pickup because to eat outside these days is too hot. But I can't emphasis how delicious these tacos and frijoles especial was. We wanted to order more tonight because it was soo soo good. We will definitely return and will share our experience with others. Good food and good people run this place.

Go here - it is delicious! Stopped by based on other Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend the quesadilla - so so good and a generous serving size. The tacos and flautas and beans were all tasty too!

Not impressed. Too much queso fresco. Lonches aren't comparable to the valley. Salsa is the same like anywhere else around here. I can make the same thing at home but better.
