Oya Rice Bowl

Ordered the Thai chicken curry and the dish was full of flavor! Just enough spice for me, wasn't sweating or anything but got the sinuses cleared lol. Enough for 2 servings as it is a bit pricy.

Happy to find another really good place for takeout! I ordered the Oyako rice bowl with chicken and egg, as well as the tomato and egg rice bowl. The Oyako was absolutely fabulous--the sauce had an almost creamy richness to it, the chicken was tender, and the egg was nice and fluffy. Very sadly, I dropped the takeout container and most of it hit the floor, so I didn't get to eat much. I'll be re-ordering it soon though so I can fully enjoy it! The tomato and egg rice bowl wasn't quite as successful because the egg was in really large clumps instead of being fluffy and well mixed with the tomato, but it was still tasty and had a nice sweetness to it. Oya's portions are very generous, and the prices are good. Out of all the things I've tried ordering from this ghost kitchen location, Oya Rice Bowl is by far the best.

During the ice storm of Feb 2023, there were very few restaurants open. I found Oya and ordered pick-up because it was less than a mile from my hotel and I was concerned about driving. I love the concept of 5610 Food Co where Oya Rice Bowl is located: independent kitchens preparing food to be delivered via a food delivery app or picked up by customers. And perhaps because of the storm the normal cooks/chefs weren't working. But the food was really bad, nearly inedible.I ordered the Gyu and the Crispy Chicken Karange. Neither of them had any real flavor. The Chicken Karange was only saved by the sauce, but the chicken had no flavor on its own. The beef on the Gyu was tough like jerky. It had a bit of flavor, but you only figured that out because you had to chew it for several minutes before swallowing. The rice at the bottom of the bowl was plentiful, but also flavorless. There was no sauce or anything.I hate leaving negative reviews and hopefully this was a one-off because of the storm. Other folks seemed to have a better experience than I did. This was my only meal of the day and I didn't finish it.

Saw this listed on DoorDash a few times so we decided to try it out. Ordered the Wasabi Shrimp and the Oyako bowl. Forgot to take photos but they look EXACTLY as pictured and was absolutely delicious. I am honestly really blown away. For the Wasabi Shrimp bowl I didn't expect the generous amount of shrimp in it. The wasabi wasn't overpowering and the rice was nice and fluffy. The Oyako bowl was also delicious and the broth mixed with the rice was so filling. Everything is so expensive now with sad portions so this was a great discovery and we will definitely be ordering again.

Was in the area and hubby and I ordered take-out from our usual food hall as we returned home from our son's house in Austin. Had the Oyako Rice Bowl and potstickers. They were packaged nicely and food was nice and warm when we received it. We'll be back!

Ordered the $15 dollar orange chicken, got a bowl filled with al dente rice with 3oz of chicken on it. Also had a curry dinner that looked amazing but $15 for what looks like a children's meal is sad. Do better
