Ovenbird

A spacious place to grab breakfast on the weekend south of downtown!They have such intriguing seasonal latte flavors, breakfast sandwiches, tacos, pastries, and more!For Saturday breakfast, I had the Medovic Latte which was sweetened with burnt honey and salted caramel flavors. I was also able to customize a breakfast sandwich with an egg prepared over easy, layered with beer cheese, and all sandwiched between a flaky, salted, crispy layered biscuit. The latte was incredibly sweet, so I was only able to tolerate it through mid-cup. I would definitely come back to try other options!

I really wanted to love Oven Bird. The service was friendly. The coffee was good, but the food was just so bland.I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it came with bacon and a chimichuri and I love chimichuri, oven bird's had none... which still baffles me.Everything was made fresh to order and my baked treat was fresh out of the oven, but again, was just meh.After spending nearly $30, I was left unsatisfied and feeling a bit bamboozled.

The breakfast sandwich is incredible. The German croissant is so well made. I order matcha latte again and this time cold, it's better than their hot latte for some reason (same type of milk). Normally I prefer hot latte, just not sure why this place makes cold matcha latte better than the hot version Service is way faster this time. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. The sweet potato kolache is very nice as well. I'll try more pastries next time

Been here twice and both times everything was better than expected. The breakfast tacos (particularly the sausage and potato ones) are SOOO GOOD. The jalapeño crema is delicious so make sure to add that to the tacos. I think they make their tortilla recipe from scratch, because they are unique and not like regular flour or corn tortillas. Love that they serve the tea in a pot with a mug and also really liked the kale and bean soup which is not pictured here. The only thing I didn't love was the bacon was very thick cut on the BLT so it was a bit dry. I think the mayo to sandwich ratio was a bit off. I ate my sandwich with the jalapeño crema so it was still tasty though and everything else was scrumptious. Also enjoyed the hot chocolate, not tooo sweet and very tasty.

I love pierogis and this place doesn't miss! They are open from 7-3 daily and have amazing brunch on the weekends!! Pierogis are so, so good!! They are also pet friendly on the patio which is fun to take our furry friend with us and stop between errands!

I went here for my birthday to enjoy a nice breakfast and delicious coffee!Everything tasted perfect and fresh. I went back for seconds for another latte. They can do just about anything for latte if you have special requests.The service was great. Everyone that I interacted with was friendly.The ambience of the restaurant is very laid-back. I saw a lot of people with their laptops doing homework or focusing on work such a nice and pleasant place to get breakfast and coffee. I would definitely come back again.

I love coming to this place for the food, drinks, and chill ambience. I've spent time studying and working here on several occasions. The staff has always been very friendly.On this occasion, I grabbed lunch with a couple of friends. I had the Shakshuka taco while they split the two different breakfast sandwiches and the smoked duck fat potatoes. The taco had a great flavor and came on a marbled rye tortilla which had an interesting (but not bad) texture. Their sandwiches were much larger than expected and they really enjoyed the flavors of both. I think my favorite, though, was the potatoes. They were super crispy and super flavorful. I would definitely eat those again.They also have a pastry case with rotating items baked fresh in house.I will continue coming back to try more food and drinks at Ovenbird.

The pastries are made in house. They were a bit greasy, and not my taste. I like that there's a lot of tables and windows if you wanna have a brunch with friends or work remotely.

Omg Love this place!!!! I visited here from out of town and everything was good and so creative! I got the sweet potatoes latte with/ the toasted marshmallow and it was great! I loved their potato cakes(?) I think that's the name and the breakfast tacos were supreme and the sauce that went with it was great! I love that the place is seasonal as well and that they are always thinking of new things! Free parking and good space!

I wish I lived in Austin so I could be a regular at this place. I'm visiting and luckily my hotel was a couple miles away. Went for a run to try this place out. And wow!! Amazing. Menu looks insane and so does the food on people's plates. I had a latte with almond milk and added the burnt honey. Absolutely fantastic. Had I been in the mood, their pastry container was full of gorgeous options. I hope to be back in the city at some point to give it another try.
