Otoshi

This place has been on my list for a long time but because it's located so down south, it's taken awhile for me to finally try it, and I wished i didn't wait this long! It's located at a really cute distillery with a huge lawn and cute fall decorations, it's perfect fall outing! The owner was super friendly and nice, but it seems like it's a one man show, at least for that day we went, so do be patient as he has to not only take orders but also to grill your food! We ordered both the chicken dishes and the beef skewers with rice, and everything was delicious!! The chicken thighs and beef were tender, the tsukune (chicken meatballs) were extremely flavorful. However, the highlight for me was the Brussels sprouts. It was charred perfectly for a charcoal flavor and then tossed in a hot sweet sauce, absolutely delicious. Would totally recommend everyone to try this place!!!

Nestled behind the Fierce Whiskers Distillery is a park with a couple food trucks. One of those trucks is Asian fusion Otoshi! We tried it with Chinese Donuts, Cumin Beef, and Brussels sprouts. And OH MY GOODNESS!This is amazing. Go up to the truck, order and have a seat in the park. Maybe, play some cornhole. They will text you when the food is ready. Then... be ready to be amazed!My only regret- I don't live in Austin to keep coming here!If you are near (or even if it is a drive), done to Otoshi! Wow!

I have to give this food truck one star. They have all the tools (charcoal grill, location, cuisine style). But, they fail miserably on quality and quantity. I have tried their food 5 times now just because of their location. Each time has been disappointing. As mentioned above, quality and quantity! Quality the meats are very low, especially the beef and the pork is always dry. Quantity for $15 w/o tip (per meal) for less than 5oz. of low quality meat (think below choice grade if that's and option) is just insane. The rice is always completely unseasoned, literally just white rice, and the meats have no sauce. So what you are left with is nicely flavored meat that is extremely chewy and rice that tastes like nothing. I just don't understand how these places exist in Austin at prime locations. Once again, as mentioned above, they have all the tools needed to succeed but refuse to cook/prepare a decent meal. It's disappointing. They really need to do better or just give up. The business does not even have a website and also never updates their Instagram with the daily menu.

Incredible food! Austin is known for its food scene and this spot tops the list for my wife and me. We had an assortment of skewers, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and two orders of the brussle sprouts. (went back for a 2nd order because they were so freaking good!) We look forward to coming back!

their meals are a perfect pairing with fierce whisker drinks! i really enjoyed the lemongrass skewers. it comes with rice and cabbage, so it's pretty filling. the chinese donuts are so good. i like chinese crullers on their own but the condensed milk really makes it delectable!

Food is so gassss Im always coming back because i keep daydreaming about it. 10/10 please go check them out!
