This is such a cute modern Korean restaurant. I absolutely love their spicy tofu pork belly soup with white rice! It hits in these cold months in Austin. The flavor was so rich and it warmed my soul! My friend got the katsu sandwich and the meat was very juicy! I went for brunch and I will definitely be returning for dinner soon!! I would say this is more modern Korean than authentic Korean but still good.

Oseyo is a sleek and modern Korean spot in East Austin! We sampled a variety of dishes, and while I don't usually crave Korean food, it was a nice change of pace. That said, I did wish the food had a bit more flavor and spice to truly stand out.The atmosphere is stylish and welcoming, making it a great choice for a night out. If you're looking to explore Korean cuisine with a contemporary twist, Oseyo is worth checking out!

I went to Oseyo many years ago and had a great meal. I just could never find myself in the area again for dinner. However, they're open for lunch now!A coworker and I popped in for a weekday lunch this past Tuesday. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We started off with the steamed dumplings. They're super cute and delicious. I had the Kimchi Jjigae (kimchi stew). It was a great sized portion and was really flavorful. My coworker had the Brisket and Shrimp Bokkeumbap (fried rice). He said it was really good and ended up eating every bite of it.Overall, the meal was great and I'm happy to have a Korean restaurant so near to my office.

Visited for lunch in person! I still love Bree the Knowledgeable and Welcoming Server! It was pretty empty at lunchtime so food was fast and hot! [Lots of food pick ups though.]

A very nice restaurant with great ambiance and lighting, perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. I was in a group of 5 and we sat outside, it was very peaceful and spacious. They have a very small parking For appetizers ordered the Jjin mandu (steamed meat dumplings), Gun mandu (fried vegetable dumplings) and Tong ddak (korean fried chicken. The dumplings came with 5 each and the chicken was 4 drumsticks. For mains, we ordered the dolsot bibimbap, soondubu jiggae, and kimchi bokkeumbap (fried rice).Jiin mandu: 3.5/5 They had very nice flavor with hot peppers on top to give it a kickGun mandu: 4/5 I personally liked the fried dumplings better than the steamed, it comes with a sauce that pairs well Tong ddak: 4/5 Very nice sweet and sour flavor, a bit too much breading Soondubu 3/5 Personally didn't really like the taste of the broth it was a bit more sour than the other tofu stews i've tried Kimchi fried rice 4.5/5 Really enjoyed this dish the pork belly was very tender and the runny egg goes perfectly with the kimchi rice There were some parking spots in front of the restaurant, but if it's during dinner time you probably have to find street parking.

It was ok as a tex-asian Korean meal but it wasn't as good as other Korean food we've had. I had the kimchi fried rice and it was extra greasy. The side dishes were ok but the kimchi needed a little more time to ferment. The restaurant was pretty nicely done so maybe fit for a date night but it was a bit pricey for the quality of food. Then again, everything in Austin was expensive.Service was attentive so that was a plus!

Can't wait to stop by again!! My girlfriend and I came for lunch on Friday so parking was easy and being seated was quick. Not sure if this is an every day thing but it worked out well for us! As soon as you walk in you'll notice the upscale decor and aesthetic. Very welcoming and dim lighting to make for an intimate dining experience. Waiter was quiet but friendly and attentive. Now for the good part, the food. We started with an order for the Jjin Mandu and man those were good. Very flavorful and not too hot so you can eat right away. My girlfriend got the kimchi jjigae and I ordered the kimchi fried rice. Both dishes were great! The kimchi friend was was a solid 3.5/5, not the best I've had around ATX but it got the job done. The Kimchi jjigae was extremely delicious, only thing I would change in the dish is the size the kimchi is cut to. The pieces were bigger than I'd have liked them to be but the dish was extremely flavorful. I would order the kimchi jjigae myself if I came back since it was the better dish of the two. Overall, good spot and I'd give it a solid 4/5. I would come back if it's convenient with my plans around the day.

Came here for dinner after a busy Sunday, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had the jjajangmyeon and my girlfriend had the japchae. Both were very delicious, but the japchae with the choice of veggies served at Oseyo is some of the best we've ever tried. For a Sunday evening, the restaurant was relatively empty, but the tables are placed so close that you can still overhear other people's conversations. The server was very pleasant, but didn't put too much effort in offering advice or checking in on us. Our water cups had been emptied out, before we got them refilled. The decor is very intricate, and a balance of traditional and modern. I loved the large tapestry on their wall, while my partner thought that some of the cultural decor was showcased as in a museum. We look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Great modern Korean food spot. We went for dinner on a Saturday night with no reservation and luckily got seated right away. We started with the Ddukbokki, it had just the right amount of spice, not overbearing and the rice cakes were perfectly cooked. We split the bulgogi and it was perfect. Thin juicy, slices of beef deliciously seasoned, we wrapped in the lettuce and perilla leaves with banchan and ssamjang sauce. As someone who frequents Korean restaurants, I was surprised at the small and few banchan served, so beware your table won't be covered with side dishes. However, they did replenish the kimchi and sauces when requested. I love more traditional Korean restaurants but this is an amazing place to go for a bit more modern, upscale vibe. I would definitely come back here.
