After loving our dinner and lunch take-out experiences from Odaku (a family-run Korean Japanese fusion place at Parmer & Mopac) for the past year, I finally got the chance to experience dine-in this month and I am still a big fan. My special friend & I celebrated our first date night of 2025 here and everything was great!- Getting a table at 6p on Saturday night was no problem. I could *not* believe there was no wait. This just tells me that too few people know how wonderful the quality of food & service is at Odaku.- Table service was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and unobtrusive, exactly what I'm looking for on a date night or really any time.- Food was sooo good! Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, tasty, well-executed. We had sushi this night, ordering 2 huge rolls (9 pieces each!) and a chef's choice nigiri dinner (9 thick pieces). I typically stick with sashimi, as I am not a fan of overly sauced, mostly rice rolls drowning in mayo, but Odaku kept every component in balance.- Price was reasonable for the high quality of the products, especially compared to our other excellent but overbooked alternative spot across the highway. We had such a great meal and conversation over a shared bottle of junmai. Now that we know Saturday night isn't a hassle (at least at our preferred early dinner hour), we will definitely be back here for future date nights. I'm looking forward to more exploration of the Korean side of the menu, too.I also noticed that the back north section of the restaurant has several traditional floor-seated tables with cooktops for 8 or so people. This looks like a fun option for a large group who want to do Korean BBQ or hot pot.

Order the dack chi don here! You won't be disappointed. It comes with spicy chicken, katsu and mozzarella. The cheese blended with the spicy chicken and katsu was phenomenal! Katsu was so crispy, you can hear the crunch when you bit into it. Very good flavor profile. Also a huge portion! You can share with 2-3 people. Wish I didn't order the beef donburi, although it was good but there were so many other dishes to try. The beef donburi was definitely on the sweeter end. It reminded me of a Japanese hibachi dish. Good service, food came out fairly quick. Inside looked very cute. There were tables lower to the ground where you would have to take your shoes off to dine. You have to make reservation in advance to sit there though.

I was craving some sushi and was on my way to get some at a different place, but then this one caught my eye and it was closer to my house so i decided to give it a try. Wow what a HUGE amount of food on the bento box. I definitely could have gotten 2 or 3 meals out of it. I got the spicy pork, and it came with soup, some sashimi, a special roll and some tempura vegetables. Absolutely delicious!

This is one of my favorite restaurants near to my workplace. It has Japanese and Korean food. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. I've been here several times, and I'm not sure why I haven't left a review. I enjoy the several different types of soup that are offered here. This time, I had Yukijang. It is a spicy beef soup and comes as shown in the picture with rice and the various side dishes to include kimchi. The restaurant is small but laid out nicely. The lighting is nice, and they even have blinds to block the sun during the afternoon. It is casual and comfortable seating. Indoor seating only. The service is good too. You will be met at the door when arriving and shown to your seat. You will be given a menu and water. Then, a server will take your order once you have decided. The server will also explain the menu if you have questions. Don't be afraid to try something new. You just might even love it!

I thought the food was ok. Nothing to complain about and I would try this restaurant again but not order what I did today. I got the SamgyupsalKimchiSamgyupsal Kimchi. I wanted something unique and authentic Korean. It was different a bit too tangy and cabbage for my liking. It wasn't bad but I would not get it again. They also sent a tiny about of rice for a massive box of food. Unagi Donburi was enjoyed by our child. He said 10/10 and he would get it again. California roll and Philadelphia roll were enjoyed by another child. Hubs got the chirashi (photo). He said it was ok but he's had better. I can't give this place 4 stars but they deserve more than 3 for overall quality experience.

O'daku sushi is a solid place for Korean comfort food in Austin. I recommend getting the dack chi don ($35.95) - it is a mix of chicken and katsu in cheese and vegetables. It is a quite a large portion so I think good value for the price. The katsu is crispy and pairs well with the cheese. I also enjoy the variety of banchan that is provided. They have private seating in the back for large groups, must take off shoes. There is shared parking in the lot since it is located in a plaza.

Visited here on a weekend day for a late lunch and I wasn't disappointed. We were seated quickly after we entered and our waitress was very nice. I wasn't aware that we would be receiving so many food items with our order, so this was definitely a surprise for me that I enjoyed. The restaurant is clean and has a nice vibe. My only downside is that parking can get a little crazy being it's in a shared space with multiple businesses.

This place was a spontaneous dinner spot that my friend and I ended up overall enjoying! There are not many Korean spots in town, so this was a gem. There was no wait on a weeknight drop-in, and overall the food was pretty good and I will definitely be revisiting. Highly recommend eating family style to enjoy a variety of dishes.Food ratings:- Korean short ribs (5/5): The best dish we ordered and executed really well. Perfectly flavored, incredibly tender, and so good. Pretty good price point, too!- Soba noodles (4/5): These were really good! Had lots of flavor and veggies.- Sushi roll (2.5/5): We must have not read the ingredients closely enough because this had honey all over it and it really threw off and overwhelmed the flavor of the whole roll. We didn't even finish it, and that's rare. I would not order this roll again, but would definitely try a different one!
