I've been here a few times and I love itI always get the spaghetti and meatballs, and it never disappoints I wasn't a huge fan of the gnocchi with pesto, but I think that was just a texture thing for me The fried ravioli is delicious Caprese salad was pretty good The cacio y Pepe was good very very decadentThe service is good. I've sat inside and outside and it's always a great time.

Authentic Italian restaurant. Nothing is wrong with the food, it's very decent. It's not blowing me away though. The service is great. The restaurant is very cute inside. The location is prime. Overall a good place for lunch if you work nearby.

I had this restaurant on my list for a while, so the anticipation to eat here was much desired, however I don't think it lived up to my expectations. ~The Cacio E Pepe was a 3/5, I was expecting so much more because I kept seeing the wheel of cheese videos and it looked so yummy. The pasta may have been a bit too al dente for me, I usually like my pasta more cooked, I know it's a bit different for people, but the experience was nice. :) ~ The prosciutto-mozzarella and the Arancina Vegetariana were my favorite, fresh nice ball of mozzarella and the prosciutto was good, few dry pieces but good. 4/5 The Arancina Vegetariana was nice and crispy with a great tomato flavor, does get soggy after a while so make sure to eat it quickly. 5/5 ~ The garlic flat bread basket, was simple, tasted like pizza crust IMO. It paired well with the tomato sauce of the Arancina vegetariana. 3/5 ~ The cannolis were decent, too much cream for the crust on the outside. 3/5 Staff was friendly, the food runners were nice, but I saw them more than my actual server, but that's okay food was delivered in a timely manner and prepped the way we ordered it. I do wish they had music playing that fit the vibe of the food. It felt oddly like a bar rather than an Italian restaurant.

If you hear nothing else, the Lasagna at Numero28 is fire. This perfectly portioned pasta is prepared in house. The vibe is upscale casual with a Cozy inside and tiny patio. Service was A++++ Marco and Zack were awesome. Parking was a pain. Overall, this is One of my favorite Italian spots in Austin. Pasta lovers should check it out. Feels authentic - I Will be back!

Very homey, authentic restaurant and food!We came on a Saturday for lunch and didn't have to wait at all. We were seated outside on the patio and it was such a lovely lunch.I got the prosciutto, pea and penne pasta. It was delicious, very creamy and very flavorful. My husband got the cacio e pepe, the cheese wheel was very cool. He loved it, I thought it was very rich.Overall, great lunch spot!

Cozy atmosphere and such nice wait staff! Quick service early on a Saturday night (~5:45pm) Cacio e Pepe was a cheesy dream! Tableside with the cheese bowl was really cool! Numero 28 pizza recommended by our waitress did not disappoint! Recommend adding arugula to it for some extra pizazz! Will be back when we are in town again!

Good overall meal. The service all night was spot on. We were quickly seated and all the food and drinks came out as fast as I can remember. It was a warm summer evening so the Paloma spritz was a good way to start. It was crisp and had a decent kick.We did the bruschetta trio for an appetizer. One was the traditional tomato version that you see. The others were prosciutto and a ricotta version. The traditional was the best, the prosciutto had a splash of honey that was pretty tasty. We had a couple of pizzas, the Diavola and Austin. The diavola was standard and what you would expect, the flavors were good. The Austin was sausage, peppers and fresh jalapenos. Also very good flavors. My biggest piece of feedback on the pizzas was the crust good have been more crispy. The portions of the topping were good but the crust could not stand up to the tomato sauce.Dessert was pistachio gelato and an affogato with vanilla gelato. The gelato was real good with both, authentic and creamy.Again the service was great as the whole staff worked really well together to make sure everything was taken care of.Good experience and good food.

We wish we had more time to spend here. Everything looked so delightful. Sat outside and the weather was wonderful! Amazing only perfect. Kind of like eating in Little Italy in NYC. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Just loved it. We both had the same platters the spaghetti with veal balls. The home made pasta was cooked to perfection and the balls just tasty. We will come back when we have more time to take if all in!!

We got the margarita pizza which was delicious, we ordered a side of meatballs that were all beef to provide some protein. The entire ambience was relaxing and the expression martinis are apparently rated the best in Austin through some avenue. I would for sure come back to grab a pizza. Service was highly recommended staff super helpful and discussed the menu options
