I went to the north location which has plenty of parking. There is plenty of seating (four top tables and long 4 - 6 person tables). It's counter service and they are quick with ordering and getting the orders out. The food is amazing. I got the burrito with the "picadillo" protein option. In my burrito I barely noticed it wasn't an actual beef picadillo. I added some salsa to my burrito to add a bit more flavor. The beans and rice rank near the top against other TexMex places in Austin. The burrito was huge. My friends ordered the chips with salsa and queso. It's a potato based queso and amazingly tasty. They also got the birria tacos. They all loved them. This is definitely worth adding to your Tex-Mex rotation.

Nissi Vegan Mexican is a nice, local restaurant that provides good vegan Mexican food. The staff, which was primarily a bunch of kids, were super nice. We got a Birria plate and a box of nachos. The birria plate had really good consomé and the nachos were huge and filling. Normally, I'm not the biggest fan of vegan food, but Nissi was great. The "meat" did taste like tofu, but in combination with the sauce, the meat taste was well imitated. Overall, was a little pricey. The two dishes I got total to a bit over $30 after tax and tips. Even though it's a bit expensive, I'd still recommend giving Nissi a try, especially if you're looking for new vegan food!

I was really impressed with this place. From the amount of space inside and the warm welcome from the staff to the tasty and innovation vegan food. I mean talk about vegan queso that's completely allergy free since it was made out of potatoes (not nuts!) that's pretty cool! My quesabirria tacos were delicious and for as someone who isn't vegan I would definitely recommend it to anyone. (I truly didn't miss the meat!)

I was very disappointed to see a bleached rag from being held to be put down on the stove top, and the smell of it was just so overwhelming that I could not even order the food because the bleach was coming from the kitchen and the staff just left it on the counter afterwards after they got done with it as I watched them I got very disappointed and I couldn't even take any bottle of water out of the menu fridge because I was just too concerned about the dust on the tables and the chair chairs at that point so I just walked out and I said thank you anyways I don't like the option of the vegan food I don't feel safe, ordering it.

Really flavorful and filling, I wish we had one in Houston! We tried the "chicken," picadillo, carne asada, and fajita. Friendly and helpful employees, and plenty of parking in the shared parking lot.

I went there after seeing great reviews. I felt that it wasn't bad but was not as good as the reviews as well. They serve 3 mini tacos which wasn't enough for 1 person. We ordered nachos, 2 Entrees with 1 extra taco and 1 drink for 2 adults. It wasn't enough for us.

Me encanta este lugar vegano! Each time I visit Austin my vegan friends and I always go to Nissi. They've been going since they had their food truck and I went once to their food truck and now went to their new location and the food was just as delicious! It's so good! I always get the flautas and my friends get the nachos! These flautas are even better than regular non vegan flautas. I just wish they were bigger and had more flautas! Súper delicioso!

Nissi is near and dear to my heart; I could have SWORN I already left a rave review, but so be it. I'll do it as many times as it takes, because this is an absolute gem of an eatery. Nissi VegMex is the first place newcomers should visit, regularly winning praise from eaters from near and far. Authentic, bold flavors crafted from scratch with traditional methods are applied to plant-based proteins, so nothing is lost in translation.Every entree is a knock-out so even if you come late and discover, for instance, that the very popular birria tacos are sold out, a second, third, or even fourth choice still won't disappoint. True, it's hard to match the Mexican version of au jus, pairing crispy tacos with sweet, sour, slightly spicy, and deeply savory stew for dipping, but you'll forget all about it with one bite of any dish. The "cheek'n" flautas were my first order and remain a nostalgic favorite. Served with well-seasoned rice and beans plus a refreshing little side salad, these crispy rolled tortillas come smothered with an artful drizzle of crema and avocado sauce. It really is a perfect meal, satisfying without over-stuffing, checking all the boxes for varied textures and tastes. Even my dad, a lifelong omnivore, declared that if all vegan food was like this, he could easily ditch meat for good.Where should you go if you want genuine Mexican food? What if you're on a budget? How about vegan, or gluten-free option, too? Want a taste of true Austin in just one night? Nissi, Nissi, Nissi, and Nissi. If anyone says different, they must not be from around here.

VEGAN STREET TACOS! VEGAN BIRRIA TACOS!! I have yet to find a restaurant that has such incredible meat substitutes. Usually vegetarian or vegan tacos include a lot of random vegetables, like zucchini or mushrooms, which doesn't quite do it for me. Nissi has an incredibly large variety of "meat" options that are close to the real thing. My partner once tried a bite of my taco and asked if I was sure it was vegan!! I started eating Nissi back when they were a food truck, and their brick and mortar does not disappoint. The staff are friendly and the service is always fast. The food is always fresh, and the vibe in the little restaurant is perfect. It's never been really busy when I've gone, but there is ample space inside to seat many people. There are also tables outside (under an overhang), and it's tucked into a cute little shopping center. Do not miss out on these incredible tacos, I promise you it is worth it!!!! Wish I could give Nissi infinite stars!
