Amazing is a good word for the food here. I attended an annual Lunar New Years dinner and was delighted by the quality and flavor. I ordered Basil Chicken Dumplings and Happy Family. Both had flavor and texture I have not found in a Chinese restaurant in years. The dumplings had a lively crunch of water chestnut bits, and the pork actually tasted like pork, with a compliment of basil. Happy Family is a dished of stir fried vegetables and shrimp, chicken and pork. The meat was so tender I could separate it easily with chopsticks. The vegetables were cooked yet retained pleasant textures. And the sauce! I'm still trying to figure out the unique blend of flavors that raised this dish above the standard brown sauce stir fry.Service was great, considering it was New Year and we were a large group. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in South Austin!

3 stars cus the food was good.A waitress tried to convince us (2 people) to order lobster, but we want other dishes so did not take it.The waitress took order then never comes back ,not even once to check if we were ok or need with anything even though the restaurant was not busy. That is bad behavior!! Need to change or it will affect the business badly!!

I have been here three times for dim sum, and it's pretty consistent. The dim sum is decent, and I'd come back whenever I'm craving it. Here are some of the items I ordered this time:Shumai ($6) - 4/5It comes with four pieces and is quite big. Good flavor and not too salty.Har Gao ($7) - 3/5It comes with four pieces. The wrap is bouncy and nice, but the filling is kind of dry.Chicken Feet ($6) - 4/5It comes with four pieces. Easy to debone and light on flavor.Deep-Fried Mince Pork Turnover ($5) - 4/5It comes with two big pieces. The dough is bouncy, kind of like a rice cake. The taste is decent--nicely fried and not too oily.Shrimp Cheung Fun ($7) - 3.5/5It comes with three pieces. The rice noodle rolls are soft and pair nicely with the sauce. I tried both beef and shrimp fillings and feel the filling is kind of small, but the shrimp are pretty big.Soft Tofu Pudding ($6) - 5/5My favorite dish. It's served warm with ginger sugar water. The tofu pudding is silky soft, and I'd say the sweetness level is light, which I like. A great, light dessert to finish the meal.Tea ($2 per person)They have multiple traditional Chinese tea options. Charged per person with unlimited refills.Overall, the seasoning is not overly oily or salty, unlike some dim sum places.I went on a Saturday morning around 10:45. It was busy but no line--we got seated right away. The service was quick and friendly. They pushed the cart around, which I really like. You can get the food right away, and it feels like an authentic experience. There's plenty of parking, and it's good for big parties. The place is a bit loud, but I still think it's a good spot to eat and hang out.

This is the most authentic dim sum I've had in Austin so far! We arrived at noon on a Sunday and there was no wait for a table for 2, but by 12:30 there were tons of people waiting for a table. This is cart dim sum, so I was a little worried when we got seated right by the exit, but one of the owners actually stood right by us and made sure the carts knew to come and offer us food. We were trying to only eat a light brunch, so we didn't get everything we wanted, but we got to try the shumai, har gow, sticky rice, shrimp rice rolls, and turnip cake. Everything was good, and we especially enjoyed the sticky rice, which was a good texture and had plenty of meat. Next time we'll try the soup dumplings and the congee for sure! Including a pot of tea, the bill came out to about $40 for everything.Having had dim sum in a lot of other cities, I won't say this is the best dim sum ever, but it definitely satisfied my cravings. I would recommend this spot over the "bougie" (read: overpriced) spots downtown any day.

For Austin dim sum, it's not bad. I'm from Houston, so I can't really compare the two. I don't expect a lot of amazing Asian food in Austin. Most of the items were good quality and pricing wasn't too bad. For 6 people, we ended eating (with gratuity) just below $200. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and there was not a wait. However, the food was a bit of a wait. Only about 2-3 carts were on the floor at the same time sometimes it felt like it was the same 2-3 carts. We had to wait a bit between carts to get a different variety. The only dish that I wasn't a fan of was the Chinese broccoli - they didn't use oyster sauce like most other places do (hey - this is my healthy dish!) Service was typical Asian - not your best but wasn't bad. They definitely are friendlier than the Houston Asian restaurants. I don't think our server knew much English so another server would come over.Overall, not too shabby if you're craving dim sum.

Came here on New Year's Day - it was slammed but we only ended up waiting about 15 minutes before getting sat. The staff is very organized and works quickly through the line. There were trays and trays of delicious dim sum that come around the dining room fast so your table is never empty. Good quality dumplings and delicious custard buns. Will be back here for more soon!

Best Chinese food in Northwest Austin. The shaking beef may be one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

If you can, just come on Fridaysss! Because their weekends are crazily crowded. The weekend wait time is usually 45-60min and it's a chaos from the waiting room to the dining room. I tried going there on Fridays and I always got seated immediately, relaxing vibe and prompt service. Food is of course amazing, the most authentic dim sum I've found so far in town!

Sweet heavenly bao! I missed this place! If you haven't had a chance to visit this place, stop what you are doing and get over here now! It is better than I remember. Went today with a couple of coworkers and it was all such a blur. The Greenbeans and Bok choy were perfectly steamed, sautéd, and dressed. I don't remember everything we ordered. It all came and went so fast. The scallion pancakes were crispy with the right about of saltiness. Shrimp dumplings were exquisite! Had this chicken with cilantro dish that was crispy on the outside and so so soft on the inside. And after proclaiming more than once that I was too full for another bite someone came by with some soup dumplings!! I forgot how much I loved them! And then and then we had some little mice shaped desserts and sesame balls. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The new space is spacious and comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit!Oh oh oh and the price! For six of us ordering past our fill it was only $26 pp before tip!

This was our first time since this place moved into the northwest cedar park location. It's good to know that they open early (10:30am), and dim sum carts on weekends! Our favorite places are either too far or no longer have cart service. At 10:30-10:45am, it sure was quite busy and glad we decided to stop in for an early brunch/lunch! There was no wait for the carts to come around, the tables are quite tight, allowing just enough wiggle room for the carts to squeeze through. The food was plentiful, although some of the dumpling skins such as the hargow were a little thicker than what I'm used to. The pork shui mai were sinewy with larger chewy chunks but very meaty and a nice size. The Chinese bbq pork buns and shrimp shui mai were tasty, the short ribs with black beans were tasty but very mild flavored. The lotus leaf sticky rice I thought could have been more flavorful, the rice screamed for help, flavorless with very little filling. The taro was overly crunchy but tasty. We may be back to try some entrees off of their menu.
