Monkey Nest Coffee

Monkey Nest hits every single time. I've been coming here for a couple of months and have never been disappointed. Their seasonal and rotating drinks are perfect and their ingredients are perfect. Coming to read to a book and sipping a cold drink on these hot days have made most of summer manageable!

I really struggle with this place. I used to be a regular. Everyone knew my name, and they would have my order ready when I'd arrive on my way to work.I recently started working remotely so I've been ordering delivery. My order is always wrong or poor quality. Due to this I've just stopped ordering from this place, which is unfortunate because of the long history I've had with this place. But at the end of the day I want accurate and quality food.Pictured is missing whipped cream, very little salad dressing, and strawberries that were chopped without the tops removed. What's the point of slicing them if they're still attached to the stem?The second to last time I visited I was sold expired fruit. All their self-serve fruit cups were past their expiration date and were sitting in their juices.

Driven past this place countless times & finally stopped in. Matcha is a 10/10 & their cinnamon crumble muffin reminded me of coffee cake! So delicious! Inside was so cute with lots of different monkey gear. The baristas were friendly & helpful & we had our items within a few minutes. It's a very comfortable environment inside & way bigger than it looks from outside.

Service was lovely and quick. The ambiance was very relaxing--not too loud or quiet, easy to feel immersed in the space even on your own. Me and my partner are going around Austin to try new spots and this one is our favorite! Perfectly made drinks and tasty roast. We will definitely become regulars. Thank you Monkey Nest!

They don't monkey around here. The coffee is excellent.There are stuffed monkeys everywhere and lots of monkey puns on the coffee menu. I'm not sure why they love monkeys so much but, honestly, who doesn't love monkeys? If the coffee is great, I'm good with it.We loved our drinks and we also got a breakfast taco that was very good. They've got cookies and other pastries and everything looked really good.No outside seating but plenty of indoor seating. The environment is inviting and funky. Who knew Austin had such great coffee?

Service at 12:30pm was way, way too slow due to only one young person literally doing everything!! My Spicy Mocha Monkey (hot) had remarkable, crave-worthy flavor, still they need to back off on the cayenne (it sadly overpowered the mocha cinnamon deliciousness). This Chef Will most definitely return... ordered vegan empanadas for later and they look and smell promising.

Cute coffee shop with (not real) monkeys! They have a drink line and a food line. You can order from a tablet there and they'll call your name. I thought the empanada was really small but it actually filled me up for breakfast. Also got Monkey's Uncle. You can order drinks iced or hot. Ordered lunch to-go and really just wanted sandwiches but they l came as meals (with chips and a drink). I don't normally eat chips but the chips are actually super delicious! The bacon apple grilled cheese is really tasty. Wi-Fi works really well and there are outlets, so it's a great spot to get some work done. Quite a few parking stalls outside.

Super friendly service at this spot. Definitely would come back if I was close by but coffee didn't stand out enough for me to go out of my way to come back. Was good but not super memorable

It was.. fine?I remember this spot being a go to in college with decently priced coffee/food but alas it hasn't lived up to what I remembered.The monkey muffin was a fun take on monkey bread with a muffin bottom. The lavender latte had to much syrup for my preference that I had to let the ice water it down before I deemed it drinkable.If I'm in the area, maybe I'll go again, but I won't go out of my way!

I love to support local and this place makes it easy! Monkey Nest is comfy and good for everything from a business networking meeting to an online date. It even makes the epically terrible ones minimally less crappy because you're drinking good coffee in a charming cafe. The inside feels less corporate than a "char-bucks" and it's easy to hang out there for long periods - no loud blenders. They have an unusual variety of coffee drinks and the baristas are friendly & quick. I've had lots of traditional latte type things there in the past, but recently tried their matcha latte and highly recommend!! Rather than using some gross sugary matcha syrup like the chains do, they used actual matcha powder and it was unsweetened, which is soooo much better. Plus, my barista managed a smiley face with her latte art. Brilliant!
