Meh. Yep, sorry, that's my rating. Look, Austin is a tough place to compete in the Tex Mex category. There are many fine establishments with muy delicioso food. Mi Lindo is just okay. You might say,"well, it's not a fine dining place", but we all know there are plenty of "hole in the wall" places where some crazy good mommas are cooking up their secret family recipes and sharing them with us. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't outstanding. Our server was pleasant, but she could not remember our order; I guess because she did not write it down...The place felt clean and the prices were good. I'm sorry I won't be back. It's just the bar is high, and Mi Lindo is not up to par.

This place was good, but I found way too many bones in my birria tacos. When we came at around 7:40pm on a Sunday, there were no customers until we were heading out at around 8:30pm. Our server was super friendly and patient with us! The agua frescas they had available were horchata and watermelon. I went with watermelon, and it was refreshing and sweet- tasted like watermelon candy! At first it was a bit too sweet, but it diluted a bit once the ice started melting. My dad got the enchiladas verdes with barbacoa. Get barbacoa as your meat!!! It was extremely soft and tender that it could literally melt in your mouth... anddd it had amazing flavor. The enchiladas were covered in a tangy, mild sauce. So tasty! This place has some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. I got the quesabirria tacos which were listed under the weekend special menu. They topped it with queso fresco, and in addition to the consommé they served it with some kind of queso fresco sauce. The tacos were good, but it was pretty darn salty. The consommé was light. As for the meat, they did not shy out on the filling! The main issue I had was finding multiple small bones in the meat. That was not the crunch I was looking for... RIP. When I ate one taco for dinner, I found a small bone. Then the next taco I ate back at the hotel, I found 2 small bones. Even more bones were found in the third taco just as expected. I've eaten my fair share of birria tacos before and I've never run into any problems like this. If you're going to be ordering the birria tacos, just be aware. Overall, I was satisfied with the food (minus the tacos) and service. The vibes were lit. They were playing some fire music. Parking available on both sides of the building.

This was such a cute little place for a great lunch! It is small and cozy on the inside, and filled up quickly. There is outside seating area available as well! The hostess and waitress were both very kind and did a wonderful job.I ordered the verde enchiladas. I requested one beef and two chicken so that I could try both meats. I loved everything on my plate, including the rice and beans! Everything was served hot and fresh. The chips and salsa were great as well!

First time here! Great little restaurant. Between us we had:Cheese Verde Enchiladas: When I ordered these, the waitress seemed a bit confused, cheese is not on the menu - but I figured they could make them and they did. To be honest, there could have been more cheese in the filling. The verde sauce was delicious - tangy and light. I really enjoyed the rice that came with it - fluffy. The beans were your standard refried beans but good none the less. Next time, I will try one of the meat fillings.Oysters: Large and fresh, the husband really enjoyed these. Don't expect to see any horse radish or cocktail sauce. It comes with limes and hot sauce - not sure why I was surprised. Chips and Salsa: The chips are the thin crispy type with the right amount of salt - yummy. There are two salsas served with the chips, one green and one red. The red one tasted like reconstituted dried peppers. The green one was more acidic and fresh - we enjoyed the green one best. The place was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. The waitress warmed up to us a bit before we left - a smile can go a long way. We were impressed with this place and will definitely be back to try other menu items. The breakfast items look really good too.

The service was very slow when we went on a Wednesday evening. Each of us ordered different drinks, but they tasted identical. The server forgot what we ordered and never brought us the check. She was more interested in talking to her friend than getting us out in a timely fashion. If this had been the only issue, I wouldn't be here, but the indoor table had ants. Not just one or two that could have come in on one of us, but a lot. I killed off at least 10, and found more on me once I got home. But when I say this food is incredible and almost good enough to make me overlook all that, I can't state this more emphatically. This is truly interior Mexican so don't go expecting Chuy's. We got enchiladas michoacanas with quail, and carne asada. The quail was extremely flavorful and crisp. The edges of the enchiladas were crispy. The refritos were perfect. The carne asada was rich and delicious. If the rating was for the flavor of the food alone we would easily be looking at 5 star territory. Good, authentic interior Mexican is so hard to come by. I can't overlook the ants, though, and that was super disappointing.

I have been here twice and have had a good experience! Service and food is good - tex mex type food. It's no frills dining and I really like the patio in good weather. I like how the food is not super greasy or drowning in cheese. They have 3 hot sauces green, red and habanero, all pretty good. I really liked the birria tacos although one did have bones. They have a convenient parking lot. Service checked in on us several times and was super friendly. Today we came in for bfast like 10 min before they opened, not realizing they open at 10am and they were ready to take our order.

a comfortable little converted house style spot, with a nice outside seating area as well as a very clean and comfortable indoor dining area. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. Also features a full bar. They have a fairly extensive menu, and serving time was appropriate for freshly prepared food. Mole sauce is one of my benchmarks and I enjoyed theirs very much. The nachos were also very nice and not just a pile of chips with stuff dumped on top. We will be returning to dive deeper into the menu.

Came here with some coworkers for lunch and we all agreed that we want to come back here. I ordered the enchiladas verdes with chicken and they were delicious. The chicken was so flavorful and really added a lot to the dish. The green salsa was so good and even my coworkers who are typically the biggest fans of salsa verde really enjoyed it. They have a really cute outdoor seating area that would be nice to enjoy with good weather. Our waitress was also super sweet. Overall, a great experience with great food!

Very good to great ...It's up north on Lamar, and a bit out of the way, but totally worth the drive. The food is excellent (especially the seafood soups!) the service friendly , and the ambience long on soccer on the screens.Definitely happy-making!!!

The waitress was friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable, and the food was really good. The chips are perfectly thin and crispy, served fresh and warm with 2 salsas - red and green. I was in the mood for shrimp cocktail, and it was so delicious! It was a huge portion and had great flavor...really hit the spot. The ceviche is also tasty, and my bf enjoyed his chimichanga tinga and bistek tacos. I'm glad I found this place and will definitely be back!
