Corpus Christi, Texas First time here, and I'll have to say that will definitely be back. Mario S. Did an amazing job waiting on us. Ben, the bartender, made us the most amazing Lemon Drops and Old Fashions. Really liked the food, from the appetizers to the desserts. Great job ! Mario S. And Ben. Also, the atmosphere was very nice. Wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon, I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp platter. The fish was absolutely fresh and delicious. The Raspberry cheesecake was also delicious. We are very happy with the experience.

Food quality has gone south. Watched the Texas Eats segment on KSAT Texas Eats. David Elder featured a jumbo shrimp dish that contained 4 Jumbo shrimp. I ordered the same dish a week later and only received 3 Jumbo shrimp! I'm done with McAdoo's. My wife held her 60th birthday party, for approximately 14 friends, with a reservation. When we arrived before the reservation time, we were informed that our table was given to another large party. You had the nerve to put our party out side, on a very warm August evening! Also been to La Cosecha Mexican Table, 3 times in a 2 month period. First visit was just ok, next visit was sub par, Last visit was Terrible! Never again.

My dinner date suggested we visit McAdoo's for some good seafood. They were not wrong. The venue is pretty cool, having a new life after serving New Braunfels as the post office for many years. We ended up sitting in the covered outdoor area as it was a tolerable December evening (not too hot for central Texas). The menu is thoughtful with plenty of variety without being ridiculously long. I really hate menus that try to be everything to everyone. McAdoo's has a great selection of fresh seafood on offer with a couple of selections of steaks and chicken for the land lubbers. We chose the flounder and the redfish. Both were beautifully cooked and were flaky tender while retaining their natural moisture. The redfish was blackened and served with dirty rice that was a bit salty but otherwise spot-on in terms of flavor. The flounder was deliciously meaty and buttery as well. The wine we had was perfectly paired to our selections.I was appreciative of the excellent table service, prompt and with the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. Great place to take a date or just for a good evening of fine dining. Recommended.

This old post office definitely knows how to deliver. We started with the happy-hour sized seafood fondoo (creamy, cheesy, full of seafood, and heavenly, served with garlic toast), spicy catfish bites (so tender and delish) and calamari (review on that was also good, I was too busy with the fondoo). I had the sea bass entree and it was wonderful. The chocolate chip bread pudding was warm and sinful, so I only had a few bites.. but I will definitely get it every time I go back. All of the service was great. The manager even came to the table to discuss an allergy issue which was impressive. It's a beautiful restaurant! Definitely worth the ride from San Antonio.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and we had a great meal. Wonderful service and wonderful food. And it was so nice because we were in a room with no one else so it was nice and private.

Stopped into this popular seafood restaurant in New Braunfels tonight and it did not disappoint. The hostesses were friendly, and we were seated almost immediately with our reservation. The entire meal was well paced and our server was excellent. She was very accommodating and not once did I have an empty glass.I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo as an appetizer and the (blackened) Redfish Pontchartrain for my entree this evening. The presentation of the entree was very nice and the fish was cooked perfectly. The grilled shrimp on top was a nice addition as well. The star of the show was most certainly the redfish which was covered by an amazing madeira sauce and sat atop a bed of dirty rice. I would order this dish again and again. I loved every bite! The cup of gumbo was a little bit of a disappointment, though. It tasted fine, but the rue was a bit thick and lacked a little flavor. Also, the sausage in the gumbo was a bit overdone and there were a couple small pieces of shrimp shells I found as well.Overall, the meal was very good, and being that the restaurant is a refurbished post office just added to the charm and provided a very nice setting. I will definitely be back.

We toured this restaurant as a location for our rehearsal dinner coming up in April. My fiancé fell in love with beautiful building after I told him it was an old post office from 1915. The servers were excited to greet guests and knew a lot about the history of the building. The food was served in large portions and tasted great. We will be back for sure!

Service and food was great Prices are fair I'd come back for sure Only criticism is that once the food was delivered, the servers didn't come back to follow up to see if temp of meat was satisfactory amd if we needed any additional flatware or napkins or beverages. Great experience
