Mattie's is located where Green Pastures was formerly. Incredibly lovely grounds with their traditional peacocks running around. Got there early for our resy so spent some time in the bar. Sawyer was an amazing bar keep! Prompt and spot on with a Cabernet and Lemondrop. Very tasty pimento cheese app. We were seated and the only stumble of the night, we sat unattended for about 10 minutes. However manager popped over to apologize and Michael out wait staff stepped up and they more than compensated for the wait with incredible service the rest of the night. We had entree of braised ribs and an entree of salmon. Super tasty. Priced well and our food came out amazingly fast. Push it was our anniversary so complementary champagne and desert. Overall stellar evening and we can't wait to return.

Overall: Mattie's is beautiful! Surround by grand trees and peacocks, this is a great option for an event or just a cute spot for friends. I've been to Mattie's twice now and the first time the food was good but the second time was disappointing. Both times, staff have been kind and helpful. What I Got: - Biscuits: I really their biscuits. I'd recommend to get them for the table. - Lobster Cobb: I really like the lobster cobb! It's a huge salad with chucky pieces of meat. It tasted so fresh! Which this was a meal that I could take home and taste the same way as when I got it. - Breakfast Platter: This was okay. Your traditional breakfast platter. The bacon came out VERY cooked (it was black, so burnt) and we sent it back for new pieces. - Chicken and Waffles: This was not good. The serve did let me know that it would be a chicken cutlet and their take on a bread pudding (it's their biscuits but bread pudding style), so not chicken and waffles at all. The chicken cutlet had this sauce on top that didn't suit my pallet and the chicken cutlet could've been more done. I also, didn't like the biscuit done as bread pudding.

I love how this was a home now turned into a restaurant! This is hidden in a residential neighborhood, you wouldn't know it was here unless you paid attention to the signs. Lots of places to park and there a bunch of peacocks outside. The inside is so warm and cozy. They have a staircase leading up to more seating. Got the green chile pork chilaquiles and chicken and waffle bread pudding. The food looked aesthetically pleasing but the flavors were overwhelming. For the chilaquiles, it was salty and sour. The tortilla chips were soggy from the salsa. The chicken is delicious, and the bread pudding had a firm pudding texture that was new to me! I like the consistency, but didn't enjoy the spice on it. There was also a lot of bread pudding, so we took some to-go. I heard brunch reservations are harder to get. It's a nice place for a cozy meal. I can see people having weddings/special occasions here.

Came here for a brunch and was really amazed by the entrance, decorations, and ambiance of the restaurant. I believe the restaurant was previously a home converted into a dining restaurant, very cozy! I think the food was decent, the fried chicken was probably my favourite - it was really juicy and crunchy. The bread pudding tasted good, very soft and spongy. The green chilli was decent but the chips were soggy because they put too much sauce on top of it.Overall I think the experience was great with good service. It's def a great spot for brunch

Mattie's is a beautiful property with stunning country flare. The old farm home that Mattie's resides in is quaint but large. The service was amazing. I found the food to be good, although a little expensive for what it was. I wasn't a fan of the rosabelle but it is a great drink! The biscuits seem to be a point of pride for them but I didn't think they were that great. I gave it a 4 because I'm not sure the price makes sense for what you're getting, and the atmosphere didn't elevate it enough to justify it either.

Came here for brunch! Mattie's is a 19th-century home turned restaurant serving Southern comfort food. It's a very popular spot, so reservations are definitely needed. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior of the house is beautiful. I had their fried chicken eggs benedict, which consists of fried chicken sitting on a bed of buttermilk biscuits, topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, and served with a side of green salad. It was a little bit spicy but so flavorful, and the portion was large. To drink, I tried their iced chai latte with almond milk, which was delicious. The service was superb. My friend and I lost track of time while eating and were the last people to leave, but we were never kicked out or felt rushed to finish, which I really appreciated. I was worried about the parking situation, but they have a big lot with plenty of parking.

I love the ambiance of this place. It's an old house turned restaurant - each room is a different vibe and it's just so beautiful the way it was decorated. The outdoor seating is also so romantic and the peacocks in the garden also adds to the dreamy aesthetic. We were seated upstairs. Our waiter was nice but overall for the price we paid the service could have been better. We started with the mushroom burrata toast. It was good but on their own the mushrooms were quite salty. The burrata added a nice counter flavor!I got the salmon which was delicious! I loved the balance of flavors of the fish with the peach and the cheese. It was just a perfect bite! We came to celebrate a birthday and they brought out a little chocolate mousse for us!

Mattie's is farm fresh & fabulous. Brunch is always consistently delicious. We had a wonderful server Michael. He didn't rush us through our meal (THANK YOU!) and had great recommendations. We had the Nutella hazelnut donuts (perfectly cooked), avocado toast, fried chicken eggs benedict, lobster cobb (big enough to share). Drinks: coffee, dirty chia, pinn cup (well made and aesthetically pretty). Vibe: It is stunningly eloquent. They have a beautiful patio and wrap around porch, live oak tree with peacocks roaming around the grounds. We sat upstairs in the peacock wallpapered room. It is so gorgeous and was not too loud. Price: great price for potion size and quality of food. Location: Great hidden gem tucked away in bouldin creek neighborhood. Parking: lots of parking in the lot. If not there is free street parking.

I'll start by saying the property and food were exceptional! Very well decorated and aesthetically pleasing for the cute farmhouse vibe, perfect for a girls weekend. Food was delicious, specifically the eggs Benedict. However.... The service was not up to par. Our waitress, Dianna, was very unfriendly and felt as though we were an inconvenience. Overall a very rude encounter.

5/5 for the atmosphere! The outside dining patio is super cute with string lights all over for decor and the building has such charm. Not to mention the beautiful peacocks everywhere as the cherry on top!5/5 for the food! We started with the Brie Fondue and the sour cream and onion dip. Both homemade. The bread that came with the fondue was the star of the show; super fresh, warm and filled with nuts and cranberries. Paired deliciously with the warm Brie! For entrees we got the lobster club salad, the French toast and the shrimp and grits. All three of us completely cleared our plates. No notes. The only reason I am giving 4/5 stars is due to staff. They were BAD, I just was expecting more. Our waiter kept spilling water all over our table when we filled our glasses and leaving it there. Unsure if he didn't notice (highly unlikely) or if he just didn't care. It's was very odd to me....That said, I would absolutely return and highly recommend!
