Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls - Austin

Amazing!! Soup was hot and everything delicious! Very nice gentleman working, great service!

What a great little place to get something different other than the normal steak and BBQ here in Austin! The establishment was clean and the staff was very helpful. As is with buying lobster outside of the New England area, it is on the pricey side, but I knew it would be before arriving and was pleased with the quality of the food. We had Connecticut rolls and I got a side of lobster Mac & cheese. My wife got the lobster bisque. Everything was very good and flavorful. Great stop in Austin!

My first lobster roll! Lobster meat was abundant, bread was soft and fluffy, and the butter was delicious. I loved every single bite and the pickle helped cut through the grease. My only complaint is that the bread got soggy fast, but it wasn't too big of an issue. The lobster was perfectly tender and had a slight chew. The macoroni and cheese was a bit lackluster. The noodles were softer than I prefer them to be and the flavor wasn't anything outstanding. Still, I will always appreciate a mac and cheese.Service was really nice too and they were swift with the food.With bat season in full swing, I recommend stopping by here before going to congress bridge at sunset.

Wednesday 7/24/2024 Been wanting to try this place out for nearly a year and now was my chance.The customer service was helpful and friendly. I got the Connecticut roll $20.50.Pros:- The lobster had good quality and taste.Cons:- The butter was lacking and it definitely needed more of it. - the bread was average and a bit burnt. Usually the bread is supposed to be soft & warm but they failed to meet that standard.Overall, for $20 the lobster roll did not have good execution. It took around 3-4 bites to eat and I'd give it a solid 7/10. I'd best describe it as the worst best lobster roll I've had when factoring in the price point.

Quick and easy ordering on a Thursday afternoon. Roll was loaded with lobster and tasted great. Ate it about 30 min later and the bread wasn't soggy. Would love to come back again to try their Connecticut roll!

We walked in after a concert at Moody's ACL to a clean restaurant with polite service.We order two classic lobster rolls.It did take a while to make, but the results are excellent! These were crazy bold tastes with big lobster flavors, and the bread was perfectly toasted.These are not cheap or big, but completely worth it for the flavor!

Went to Mason's for dinner while traveling. I ordered The Harbour which is a lobster roll with more lobster on it and a bowl of lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was very hot and runny and I never saw a piece of lobster in it. The lobster roll was better. It had plenty of meat, the roll was fresh. I ordered it warm and it was a good temperature. It came with a pickle, which was ok. I was disappointed they didn't have any drawn butter. Overall, a decent place, but nothing special.

Lobster rolls here are quality but are a little small so don't expect to be full off of one roll. The lobster bisque and New England clam chowder looked really good and seemed more reasonable priced so I want to try that next time I'm here! Service was quick and the restaurant was cute but had very limited seating fyi.

The place consists of an order and prep area with a long narrow seating area. It was MLK Day afternoon and the place was empty. I ordered a cold Classic Roll and waited less than 5 minutes.There was a generous amount of lobster chunks in a warm toasted roll. The lobster wasn't very sweet, maybe it would have been better warm with butter.A fast good value lobster roll. Maybe repeatable.

Opted for a shrimp roll since my tummy is sensitive to lobster. It was really good and the portion was generous. The sandwich is pretty light so you may want to get two or plenty of sides if you're looking for a full meal. The guys who work here are great. They have some patio tables if you want to eat outside.
