My family and I have been going for years to Marcelino's. Sadly we live about 25 minutes away so we don't go as often but when I'm really in the mood for breakfast tacos, I make sure to go here instantly. Great service, DAMN GOOD TACOS.My order has been the same and it's not changing. 3 ranchero potato, bacon, and yellow cheese tacos on flour. EXTRA SALSA VERDE! These tacos are so good I take some to go and eat it throughout the day. Marcelino's has a special place in my heart and stomach.

Found this amazing little East side taco gem this weekend. It was counter service, and it was easy to order. We wanted lunch during breakfast, and that wasn't an issue. The food was so tasty, everything made in house, fresh agua frescas, and amazing customer service. The lady at the register talked to me like my favorite Tia. She greeted everyone with enthusiasm. That lady made our visit AMAZING! The vibe was fun and busy.

Not only is the neighborhood gentrified, the food is too! Used to be the spot when I was a kid. The food is mid to alright, used to be homemade and fresh and we could see it being made. With inflation I can understand the prices, but they raised them years ago to almost the same amount. Not what it used to be.

Neighborhood tsco quickie. I would not come from the other side of the city to try this place. Tortillas are not homemade here........

Delicious breakfast tacos and quick service. You can choose between a flour or corn tortilla for tacos. The corn tortillas are made in house, but I ended up getting flour instead. You can select which sauce you want and I opted for the spiciest. Unfortunately, they ran out of coffee but had Nescafé. I didn't try any but they also have several juices.

This is the best breakfast taco place in Austin. Recommended by a friend and absolutely did not disappoint. There is love found here...and a happy tummy as proof. My only regret is I've just now discovered it after 27 years in Austin.Here's the deal...They sell until the food runs out. Apparently this occurs before noon. So, if you want the deliciousness found at this little slice of heaven...get there early.

I was really excited to try Marcelino's after reading about their famous carne guisada in Texas Monthly. So I ordered a carne guisada on flour and a chorizo con huevo on corn, because chorizo con huevo is a standard that I can use to compare all taquerias no matter what.Let's just say that I was underwhelmed. The corn tortillas were not homemade (-1 star automatically) though the chorizo had good filling & flavor. The carne guisada was tasty, but pieces of the meat were very chewy, whereas good carne guisada should fall apart in your mouth. (-1 more star) I've had better carne guisada in places that Texas Monthly couldn't find on a map.I would come back to try the Elgin sausage, but like my Austin native neighbor says when people ask him where to get the best breakfast tacos in Austin, "Drive to San Antonio."

This place is good, however their tacos have become VERY small and expensive.. Not worth the expensive price. But like everything in East Austin they're keeping up with the clientele. So sad. You can get better tacos and more for your money at Juan in Million up the street.

Amazing authentic tacos. A true Austin gem! Their breakfast and lunch tacos are delicious and hit the spot anytime.

Arguably the worst "migas" I've ever had. Tortilla-wrapped chips with a few crumbles of eggs. Very disappointing.
