Mandola's Italian

Been going here for years. The food and service has always been wonderful. I recommend any of the specials and the frozen sangria is delicious.They lose stars however on the fact that you can no longer bring in a bday cake. Not sure why, but that's a new policy. Secondly, my brother was ordering from the Kid's menu for his kids and they made him go grab his kids to bring them to the register in order to order kids meals. Like who cares? Both new experiences for us. I get that things change but maybe add signage and allow for some warnings before being strict.

I used the Seed Oil Scout app and took a drive here to taste their food. We wasn't disappointed. I ordered the special of the day- Northern Italy lasagna with bruschetta. My wife got the noodles with meat plate. Hers was too aldente. My entree was fresh, but slightly mush. The staff was friendly and our order was fast. They carry a good selection of Italian drinks as well. (Pellegrino). Not bad for a food truck. The best part is they don't use seed oil, all olive oil.

I have been here a few times and As always, excellent service, super tasty food and nice ambiance.

I came here a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon since my mom had a gift card. I actually had a really delicious pizza here. It was good enough that I remember thinking it was better than most other mainstream pizza places, but not so good I would seek it out over my other go-to's (Mr. Gatti's, and Homeslice). The restaurant itself is large with lots of seating, so even though it was full we got a table, no problem. They also have a little dessert/cafe bar with gelato and cakes, etc. This is not going to be a new place I seek out but if you're craving Italian food/pizza specifically, can confirm this spot will get the job done!

Quick delicious Italian! What more could you want?!The interior of this restaurant is kinda funny. Think "Everything Italian" but make it kitchey!! Think vibes hanging here and there, family photos of decades past, deli countertop with fake meat inside. This isn't a small mom and pop authentic Italian bistro. It's way more mainstream than that y the food stands for itself.I ordered the lasagna, per the recommendation of the cashier, and it was perfect for a stormy day in Austin. Warm, flavorful, and saucy, perfectly cooked, layered and textured, way to go Mandola's!

Nothing too special about the dishes. It's edible and the price is not too bad. The flavor is nothing outstanding. The noodle/flat spaghetti doesn't taste any different than store bought dry spaghetti, so I don't think they make it fresh in store.

We eat here all the time! Gotten two togo orders of meatball spagettii. The three meatballs have shrunk in size and tough to cut. We should had ordered extra sauce. Next time ! Mista salads were freshly tastey. Focochia bread noticeing it tastes lacking in flavor, last visit before as well. With our togo order we got one small bag of four pieces bread. Two turned out hard as a rock! Very dissappointing in the amount of food we ordered, not getting more bread a normally we do. We enjoyed the Teriimasu! It was delicious. Highly recommended. I hope they can better serve our togo orders AND improve the facochia back to its original recipe of goodness. Always ask to bag salad seperately from hot items. This is what made our salad keeping its freshness.

Came here last night with my partner and had an amazing time. Everyone was super friendly and the food was great. To note, had such a great time that I walked out and accidentally left my purse behind. Their staff found it and kept it in a secure place for me to obtain.10/10 for their food and service. 10/10 for having an amazing and honest team. Thank you again

Damien Mandola does everything with excellence! This restaurant is no different. The quality is amazing, the prices are family friendly & the staff given impeccable service! I will miss Damien's On Smith Street. That's probably no the official name but all of us from Houston knew it well!! Bravo for this new concept!!
