I have been going to Mai Thai for the last dozen years. In the early years, it was quite good. From about 2015 to early 2020, its quality slipped. But during the COVID years, it began emerging into a first rate restaurant. Everything I've tried for both lunch and dinner have been quite good. Some of my favorites include:Eggplant delight -- either with tofu or any of the meats. Surprisingly simple but served with a light but tasty sauce.Panang and red curry dishes come with savory sauces and are delightful.The stir fried dishes are all reliably excellent.The staff is quite nice. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired but the food makes up for it.

Got dinner at Mai Thai and it was amazing!! I honestly was skeptical because of the other reviews but this place was a 5/5We got the Pad Thai, yellow curry, Pad Prik King, and Tom Kha. Only thing I wouldn't get again is the Tom Kha, but everything else was great and highly recommend!

Mai Thai has both exceptional cuisine and service, so good I ate lunch there three days in a row. The massaman curry is especially flavorful even at the highest spice level, with a good balance of main ingredients, including protein, potatoes, carrots, and onions. The distinguishing feature of this dish were the prominent slivered onions, different than I've had in other curries but so nice with rice. The portion size is generous and rightfully sized given the price. The waitstaff is efficient and fast, able to handle a downtown lunch rush with ease. The ambiance is pleasant, well decorated, and not crowded. I appreciated that they had Happy TV playing on the TVs.My only suggestion would be to experiment with higher spice levels. I could have gone much spicier.

Food is really great. In two visits in four days it must be good. Only one dish was disappointing and all the others were excellent. First of all, we can't rave enough about the Tom Yum soup. It's excellent even this time with the chicken. Although I personally preferred it with shrimp Today we tried the spring rolls which were good filled with a lot of lettuce and veggies just the way we like it. Then my husband had the Pad Thai, which was excellent well made, sauced and seasoned. I had the Mai Thai noodles which we thought were dry, it needed sauce of some kind on the vermicelli noodles. But the chicken was good and the salad was good and the crispy veggie egg roll that came with it was excellent.

In Austin for a conference eight here twice once for dinner and once for lunch food was very good. Quiet laid-back atmosphere and prices very reasonable. Service was great and the quality of the food was really good. I enjoyed it and recommended.

I had high hopes for Mai Thai. Seems like a nice little place close to ACC and the hotel we were staying at. Very friendly folks. Came here to get some chicken pad thai, clear noodle soup with chicken and pad kra pow to go. Unfortunately, the food was just so-so. Both the pad thai and clear noodle soup were flavorless. The pad kra pow was very salty. Maybe an off night, but it was pretty disappointing.

I did not order too much since I came by myself. Been to many Thai places and this one is very good. The ingredients are very fresh! And the Tom Yom Soup is also very delicious. They also have great service to check on you. The seating is also very clean and quiet. I'd recommend this Thai place!

Good place, and good food. So I'm still trying to get into Thai so my go to is usually Thai fried rice. I think the only reason I'd give it a 4 instead of a five is the taste of the tofu. I got the veggie Mai Thai fried rice with tofu and the Thai iced tea(which was great) the texture was great and the quantity as well but I think the tofu could've benefited from a bit more flavor overall. The inside was clean and the staff were great!
