Happy Friday! Decided to hit Magnolia Cafe for dinner tonight as my planned destination was crowded and didn't want to wait. I am soooooo glad it was crowded. I ordered the 'special' which is Portabella Ravioli with grilled chicken, spinach, capers, parsley in Alfredo sauce. Comes with a side salad and garlic bread. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Slow night here for some reason so come on down and try this amazing dish! Thanks Mag!! Been eating at your establishment for 38 years now. You do not disappoint!

Came here on a Monday noon for brunch and had 30 mins of wait-timefor visiting Magnolia Cafe on South Congress Avenue. While there was a bit of a wait to get a table, it's always a promising sign of great food ahead, and Magnolia Cafe didn't disappoint. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Primadora Omelette, and both were absolutely delicious. The Huevos Rancheros were packed with bold flavors, and the perfectly cooked eggs and vibrant toppings made every bite enjoyable. The Primadora Omelette was equally impressive, with its fluffy texture and hearty, flavorful filling. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us fully satisfied but not overly stuffed. To drink, I opted for their Hibiscus Tea, which was refreshing and paired well with the rich and savory dishes. It was a lovely touch that rounded out the meal perfectly.Magnolia Cafe's welcoming vibe, attentive service, and exceptional food make it a spot I'd highly recommend for anyone visiting Austin. I'll definitely be back!

I visited Magnolia Cafe on South Congress Avenue for brunch, and it lived up to the hype! There was quite a long wait, but that's always a good sign, and it was worth it.At the table, we ordered the Primadora Omelette and Huevos Rancheros, both of which were exceptionally good. The flavors were on point, and the portion sizes were generous--perfect for a satisfying meal.We also tried their café special drink, the Sunrise Tea (I think that's what it was called). While the tea didn't quite hit the mark for me, it didn't overshadow the food experience.

Arty vibe was fun and big patio out back too. It was a great breakfast, and super nice staff, a helpful talkative server. I enjoyed an amazing omelet with braised beef topped with queso and a red sauce!! That's really all I want is food with great flavor and creative presentation. House made beef was pull- apart -melt -in -my -mouth -yummy!! And my gal had the huge gingerbread pancakes that made her swoon!! Can't get better than that!!

We love diners! What sets Magnolia apart are the sides you can get with your omelets. You're not stuck with boring potatoes and toast. Although I don't see it on their website currently, they've let us sub salads and pancakes as our sides. It may have been an upcharge, but at least we're not stuck paying for food we don't want to eat. Their menu has something for everyone, if you're not wanting typical diner food. I miss their old location. I got to experience the late night diner indulgence once there before it closed.

Truly a place where you can get just about anything to eat and it's all good. Hit this place three times while I was in town and had everything from breakfast to enchiladas. Tasty as all fuck and they have this amazing hot sauce that uses carrots and tangerine juice as its base called Yellow Bird and it's magical. Even brought some home to Toronto. It was open pretty late but not all night like advertised. The staff are some of the friendliest folks I ever met and everything is super chill. Just like the rest of Austin. Well everything except the heat and humidity. Fuck that noise. Thank god the restaurants in Austin are so good. You do not want to be outdoors midday in this sweat factory.

Great spot for breakfast for dinner! Tasty omelette and French toast, and our server was so kind and funny. Typical diner ambiance (just making me miss the Lake Austin location!)
