Maggie’s Diner

I was in Yoakum visiting my mother, and she picked this place to try. Honestly, the food was mediocre but decent. The chicken fried steak must have been fried in the same grease as my mother's catfish. (My food had a fish taste to it.) Other than that, everything else was good. Thought the prices were a little high, but that's Bidenomics at work. Speaking of politics, I was very impressed with the restaurant's support of President Trump for President in 2024. Anyway, the service was just right. The only mix-up was not knowing to pay at the counter instead of at the table. I also enjoyed the indoor decor of the establishment. Very decorative for such a small-town business. Check Maggie's out!

Great food. Fresh and made to order. Generous portions. Mushroom and Swiss burger was excellent.

Very good chicken fried steak. We were not disappointed by any of the things we tried. Don't be thrown off by the facade it's good food. Don't take your vegetarian son, there are limited options for him.
