These salads are really great. There can be a huge line at lunch. At dinner it's been crickets, in my experience. The predecided selections are great if you're having one of those days where you don't want to make fifty extra decisions. Plenty of parking. Clean space. Efficient and friendly staff. A bit of a dining hall ambience with bright lights and one open space.

Usually, this place is so good... But this time around... Totally different! The salad is wilted, there's probably six pieces of grilled chicken in it cubed up, and they totally left out my quinoa and added celery for some reason. So sad to have a bad experience, especially when you don't have time in the night to order a new one!

Salads and wraps. There are two predefined vegan salads on the menu, or you can build your own.Real bowls, but the utensils and cups are plastic. That cheapens otherwise good food, and it's not sustainable. Many of the places we frequent have switched to plant-based / compostable (or just use washable tableware).

I really want to like Mad Greens since I only eat salads someone is making for me. But, every time I give it another chance, I end up feeling disappointed... There are a few things that could be improved. For instance, while Caesar salads are a classic, their version uses a southwestern dressing, which feels off. The meat is cut into cubes, which just doesn't give that fresh, off the grill, taste I'm looking for.

We visited this restaurant again since we were in the mood for a good salad, and let me tell you - they did not disappoint. We were greeting graciously by one of their employees and she proceeded to ask what ingredients we wanted added or changed to our order. We chose to go with the standard ingredients and she ensured that the right amount of dressing was added to our salad (you can choose light, medium or heavy). As previously, the salad was wonderful. If you are in Sunset Valley and are looking for a good salad, give this place a try. I am sure you will rate it 5 stars as well.

**UPDATE ** The manager reached out and offered a free salad to visit again and give them another chance. I have added another star for the great customer service. I will update after my next visit. **I was so excited to try Mad Greens again and introduce my assistant to it. I placed our order online this afternoon as a to-go order. While sitting down to enjoy my salad at my desk, I found a piece of plastic inside. It looks like someone cut open a bag of something and carelessly dropped a piece of the bag in my salad!! (I haven't had a chance to call the store, it just happened a few hours ago.)

I had higher hopes for a 14/15.00 salad.Highlights-friendly staff-fresh ingredients-little to NO wait during peak lunch time-plenty of parking-you can make your own salad OR pick one of the curated ones on the menuWe had the mad ceasar (dressing on the side)TY Cobb- good but super overdressed. Not sure if that is the brand or TX style? We are used to a lighter dressed salad which maybe more west coast style salads. House made hummus and fresh pita. Pita was delish.. warm, chewy. The hummus (red pepper) was under seasoned. Tasted just like plain hummus minus any garlic, salt or depth of flavor. Drinks. 7.00 fresh juices. It was OK. We are fans of pressed juices and this fell short for the cost. They also have a soda station and teas. They have

MAD Greens is similar to Salata and Sweetgreen. They offer salads that have pre-selected ingredients or you can build your own. I wanted to build my own salad until I realized that it costs extra if you add more than 4 ingredients. I love veggies and knew I would exceed that, so I went with one of their pre-selected salads. I tried the Ty Cobb Salad and swapped the blue cheese dressing with Caesar dressing. The employee who made my salad was nice, but she accidentally added salt to my salad when I had asked for pepper only. Luckily it wasn't too salty. I enjoyed the salad, especially the avocado. The large salad is only a $1 more. It is pretty filling, but it's not as big as the large salad at Salata. I'm glad that I was finally able to try MAD Greens. It hasn't dethroned my favorite place, but it is a nice option when I'm not in the mood to make the trek up to North Austin.
