I instantly fell in love with Luv Fats! Some of the best ice cream in Austin! Dairy free + Black owned are just the cherry on top. There are a variety of unique, rotating flavors. The cashier was so nice to let us sample as many flavors as we want. The shop is only walk up, but there's a couple of tables behind the building you can sit down to enjoy your ice cream. My friends and I shared the pandas peach, chocolate chai, and chocolate covered strawberries ice cream flavors and each one was perfectly balanced & not too sweet. I'm dying to come back!!

Really tasty vegan ice cream. I have seen this place for a while but it seems like their hours are a bit fickle (open from 3pm) + no dine in so I have never tried.Happy to say that they taste flavorful and quite creamy for vegan flavors. I believe they are avocado based ice cream, you really couldnt tell really. Their flavors are very interesing, I love that they are very plant forward with their flavorings - pandan, ube, chai, strawberries, etc.Ended up getting the pandan peach and chocolate. Both of them are fragrant and not too sweet. You can also try samples too, I would recommend this place :)

Love their ice cream. It's my favorite vegan spot in town, with a perfect texture and delicious flavors. Some coconut ice creams give me and my partner an irritated throat but this one doesn't at all. Their plantain flavor is awesome! The others are good too but it's been a while. Anyway I'm writing this because I just wish they were open more!! Every time I want to come in the evening they're not open. Come here for the ice cream not the experience.

Chefs kiss truly - best dairy free ice cream out there! I got the ube chocolate toffee with marshmallow fluff on top - so unique and delicious! I love the fluff on top - I have never seen this before. My fiancée got the chocolate with cookies and cream and toffee and loves it! So rich and chocolately - great for chocolate lovers. Service is quick and you can sample flavors too.This spot is so cute - love the pink decor and signs. Just wish there was some sort of outdoor seating option available - but besides that it's great ice cream! We'll definitely be back!

This is a great ice cream spot for those that are lactose intolerant like myself. They have a coconut base, but all of the flavors were really unique with an Asian twist. We sampled three - lavender cookies and cream, pandan chocolate chip and chocolate chai. My fave was the pandan chocolate. We ordered at the counter window outside (while it was starting to rain) & I am not sure if there was any seating inside, so plan accordingly!

This is place is legit. Dairy free ice cream never tasted so good. Luv Fats took me back to my childhood days when I was a fan of ice cream, thank you! I got the Fig Leaf Ice Cream with Puppy Chow and it was spectacular. I loved the creaminess, the right level of sweetness and of course the no-bloating that this ice cream offered me.The spot is a bit hidden and there's no seating and there's limited parking, but don't be discouraged, this place is definitely worth searching and parking on the street for. Cant wait to go back and bring a pint of that fig leaf ice cream home. 10/10!

One of the best ice cream places in town! Even though it is vegan ice cream, that is an absolute plus because the texture and flavor is out of this world!I finally got a chance to stop by their window pick-up (that's the only issue---on a busy street, it can be complicated to get to if the parking lot is full, fortunately it wasn't for me). At the window, I put in an order for their cookies and cream and topped it with fudge sauce. Since they make the ice cream with "good fats" like fresh avocados, coconut milk & cream, the texture is super creamy and the flavor is rich without making you feel bad. I also highly recommend toppings to make the experience even more memorable. Next time, I'm getting the marshmallow fluff topping since its vegan!

I'm never disappointed when I come here. This place remains one of our favorites, and we love the unique flavors they offer. Most importantly, do not skip the marshmallow fluff topping--it's worth the extra cost! Service is great! Note: There is no seating, so we just eat in our car.

Best unique ice cream in Austin! I'm not even lactose intolerant, but I always come because their ice cream are yummy and have unique flavors like pandan strawberry, ube, and many more. They have a snall menu and often add in seasonal ones. I love their ube chocolate toffee. It's creamy ube flavor with chocolate chips and toffee inside. I usually get two flavors and ask for baby scoops which is still a lot to me. There is no place to sit and it's more like a drive thru. It's a perfect place for those who can't eat diary but still want more variety in their ice cream besides the basic flavors.
