4.5 For an early birthday celebration, my wonderful boyfriend got us reservations for dinner at this truly enchanting restaurant. As soon as we walked in, I was captivated by the striking interior, where vibrant flowers gracefully lined the ceiling, creating a whimsical atmosphere that set a festive tone for the evening. The menu is an intriguing blend of Peruvian and Japanese flavors, offering a range of creative dishes that piqued our curiosity. We kicked off our meal with two delightful cocktails: the Midnight in Tokyo ($18) which was wonderfully fragrant, and the refreshing Passion Mezcal Mule ($17). Both drinks were expertly crafted and perfectly complemented our appetizers. For starters, we ordered edamame ($7.5) along with Barbacoa dumplings ($12) and shiitake-spinach dumplings ($10). While the Barbacoa dumplings lacked a bit of flavor, the shiitake and spinach variety was nothing short of spectacular; I could have happily licked the cashew cheese off the plate! When it came to entrées, I chose the king salmon crudo ($22) which was beautifully presented and bursting with freshness, while my boyfriend opted for the Wagyu Tacu Tacu ($24), cooked to perfection. The plating throughout our meal was artistic and visually stunning, making each dish feel like a work of art.Although the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and the exquisite presentation lived up to it. To top it off, we enjoyed our meal in unique swing seats that added an element of fun to our dining experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall enjoyment of this memorable evening. In summary, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in innovative cuisine in a lively setting!

During our visit, we savored the veggie dumplings, salmon belly, otoro, and hamachi. Each dish was exceptional! The fish melting in our mouths, truly showcased the freshness and quality. Typically, I'm not the one to love smelly fish! The restaurant's ambiance is both vibrant and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our overall experience. For those seeking a unique twist on traditional Japanese cuisine, Lucky Robot is a must-visit destination in Austin.

I absolutely adore this place! When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the warm and friendly staff and can see the dry aged fish just off to the left of the host stand --pretty cool to see.We had the tuna flight (amazing) and yuzu pie (similar to ta key lime pie) an both were remarkably good. We're still talking about the yuzu pie and looking forward to the next time we go. They also have a great selection of sake and the servers are knowledgeable and happy to help you decide what pairs best with your food. Looking forward to going back to try their omakase when we're less time-constrained!

Came here for a work happy hour. The happy hour menu had a lot of great bites and drinks to try. I ordered the bees knees which tasted fantastic and presented well. Service was good and our server was nice. The highlight was the beef hot rock! Absolutely delicious. I also loved the spinach dumplings!

Great sushi fusion spot with a lot of options on south congress. We got multiple things including the barbacoa dumplings, wagyu fried rice, R2D2 roll and Sea 3pO roll. The service was also great! The only reason for 4 stars is the pricing vs quantity. We felt some of the rolls could've had more fish for the price but overall the taste was definitely there, great spot for a date night as the decor is super cute!

Lucky Robot is a delicious sushi spot on South Congress. Pretty busy spot on a Saturday night but the patio was open which was great to people watch. Bradley is a knowledgeable server. I'd be back to Lucky Robot. And you need to order the pork belly buns. This will be a must each time I come back! It is a little pricey for sushi but that's the area.

Tasty, fresh, and fun atmosphere! This was the perfect place for a birthday dinner. The server was attentive and helpful. We lucked out with a parking space a very short walk from the front door on south congress. Plan accordingly if you have a reservation.
