This was our second time eating at Loro. We sat at the bar on a very busy Sunday afternoon and the service was so, so good. The bartenders were all attentive, helpful, and engaging with everyone who came up to order. And that's a good segue to ordering at Loro.At Loro, you can sit anywhere, scan a QR code to access the menu, and then order at the bar. They'll give you a buzzer to place at your table so the staff can find you when your order is ready.Food at Loro is pricey and high quality. It can be a place where you order several items to share or do your own thing. Choose your adventure.Loro is a fun little joint to hang at. Not sure I would take a date here. It's not romantic. Just giving you the vibe. Go check out Loro. We ate a pulled pork sandwich and a cabbage salad with salmon. Both were terrific.

My second meal of Austin and Loro did not disappoint. The place is pretty spacious and ordering is done cafeteria style so it's pretty casual. The food and cocktails were delicious! My absolute favorite dishes were the brisket queso, crispy potatoes, and chicken karrage. 10/10 would absolutely order again. The salmon was also delicious but I think it was missing a little something extra. Finally, I'd probably skip the corn and chicken bo ssam - you're better off sticking to more traditional bbq items or the aforementioned dishes.

So first Restaurant look great and smells great on the way in, the ambiance great. The service on point we sat down at a table that was dirty I work in the industry so I don't mine cleaning a table. The staff saw that and beat me to it. The cashier nice friendly and quick. The waiters nice and fast serve also. The food everyone has there likes and dislikes. I asked for no onion on the street corn it still came with it no problem move them to the side. The corn has chili sauce I think needs more flavor but it wasn't bad. The pork sandwich was great only thing I didn't like was the sesame slaw the sesame oil was so strong. The smoked shishito queso was great no notes love it had it with brisket even better. Everything together tasted good also.

Absolutely epitomizes the vibe in Austin. If you're looking for something vibey that's non-pretensious to hang out in and good food, this is the place. There was wait when we arrived but drinks and patio are a great place to hang out. We got a pager and some water and chilled, we got a table in no time.I love the order process, you're given a table, you walk up and order at the counter, and then it's brought out to you. Absolutely love anywhere I don't have to have a server. For food we got the Brisket sandwich $12.95, Sesame noodles $8.75, and Corn fritters $6.5. I'd recommend all of it, especially the fritters and the brisket ;p

Overall: 4.2/5 [catered]Our apartment catered from Loro for the Super Bowl watch party, and the food was good, even when cold! We definitely want to try Loro in person now after having it catered. (Prices below were pulled from their online menu.)Wonton Chips & Dip ($8): Wow these wonton pieces are huge and crispy. They paired well with the thai green salsa which I thought was chimichurri. Even with the salsa on, the wonton chips remained crispy for a long period of time.Smoked Shishito Queso ($9.5): These weren't your average tortilla chips but were huge half moon, crispy chips topped with kimchi furikake. There were great with cheese and would have been better if they got it with protein. Smoked Wings ($13.95): Even though the wings were cold by the time we ate them, we could still taste the smoky flavor. However, I was surprised to see the menu description mention miso blue cheese because I didn't taste it at all. The hot sauce was noticeable, but it wasn't spicy..Smoked Beef Brisket ($18.95): This was one of the best briskets we've had! The meat was incredibly juicy and fatty, though you could easily trim the fat if preferred. The chili gastrique and Thai herbs complemented the brisket nicely, but honestly, the meat was so flavorful on its own that it didn't need much else.Crispy Potatoes ($7.95): Unfortunately, the potatoes were hard, so we didn't enjoy them too much. They were seasoned with miso mustard, habanero aioli, and toasted white sesame, but the flavors were subtle and didn't stand out.Sesame Rice Noodles ($7.95): These gluten-free noodles were tossed in a chili vinaigrette with black sesame, green onion, and cilantro. While they were decent, they didn't pair well with the brisket or wings. I'd only recommend ordering them as part of an entrée rather than as a standalone side.Chocolate Chip Cookie ($3.95): The description says it has salted toffee and almonds but I didn't taste any almond. Nevertheless, the cookie was good, sweet, and a good size.House Made Lemonade ($4): The lemonade was too sour for my taste, yet tasted surprisingly good mixed with beer.

Loro (original location on South Lamar) has been a staple in my dining-and-drinking-with-friends rotation since they opened back in 2018. They have a massive covered patio, an awesome shareable Tex-Asian fusion menu with something for everyone, and most important of all, they can usually handle a super large party with staggered arrival & departure times, no problemo.Downsides: parking can be difficult, peak hours a bit chaotic, and the counter ordering system can be confusing for the inexperienced. Still worth it? Heck yes!My last visit won me as a forever fan when Loro was able to save my out-of-town visitors from their naively impossible Saturday night itinerary. Friends from Europe and Ohio were in town with their teens who wanted to experience several "peak Texas" moments from their bucket lists. Dinner for 11 at 6:30p with no reservation, someplace near Broken Spoke, getting out in time for 8p two steppin lessons and a Dale Watson show. I feared there was *no* way.We roll up to Loro, seeing that the place is packed. Just in case, I hopped out of the car, waited in line at the host stand, explained our dilemma, and the kind hostess said she'd see what they could do. With a quoted 45 minute wait, we parked & hung out in the overflow chairs by the driveway to await our fate. To our relief, the buzzer rang in 15 minutes and we were all seated together inside. The friends from out of town were thrilled! The Swedes & Buckeyes could not get over how delicious all of the Franklin-ish brisket options were, and the moms in our group loved all of the lighter dishes and craft brews & cocktails. Seeing all of those happy faces around the table: priceless. We made it out just in time to squeeze in a round of Cotton-Eyed Joe before Dale started his set at the Spoke, and Loro's legend now spans the globe.

Loro is one of my favorite go-to places for Texan-Asian fusion cuisine in a casual environment! You order up at the kitchen bar whenever you're ready, and the staff brings out the food very efficiently. They have a ton of both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's the perfect place for larger groups without having to put your entire tab under one person! Whenever I'm here, I always end up ordering the Crispy Potatoes, Sesame Noodles, Chicken Karaage, and Char Siew Pork Belly (it's so tender and flavorful!). Everything is shareable so I'd highly recommend ordering different dishes so you can try a variety of plates together! They also have a delicious Lychee Martini along with other cocktails (including frozen drinks) and unique non-alcoholic beverages. From a pricing perspective, I genuinely believe that everything is reasonably priced so you can leave feeling full without breaking your wallet. If you're in town visiting or even want a casual ambiance for group outings, I'd highly recommend checking this place out on South Lamar! :)

Live right next to Loro and it is an awesome spot that has grown on me. First off, the atmosphere of Loro is very warm and intimate with a large deck area that is great for large parties. During the day or night it is fun environment and at night the lights come on and it is a great place to go grab some drinks and dinner.Wait times for Loro can be long at times but typically we are able to find a spot fairly quickly with 2-6 people. Service is always extremely kind and helpful.Loro is a great place to try different things and once you find some dishes you love it becomes such a treat. The chicken karage is a staple order for me as it is a good price for how much you get and chicken is SO GOOD! Little honey drizzle and delicious batter, I highly recommend it. The crispy potatoes were a surprising highlight on our last trip and were unbelievable crispy and flavorful with a tasty sauce to dip in. It is the perfect side when ordering an entree or some of the barbecue options. Pork belly was extremely tender and the sauce on the outside was a nice complimentary sweet/smoky flavor. There is so much variety at Loro that there is something for everyone and I have so much more to try. You can't go wrong with any chicken there and the barbecue meats stand out as well. Drink wise my significant other ordered a boozy iced coffee and it was not too great. Far too strong for our liking so that missed the mark but that overall Loro is still a 5 star place and very worth going to!

We took the bus to Loro while we had a few free hours during our visit to our son at UT. The stop was right across the street. As we walked up, we noticed it was really busy and weren't sure where to enter or how to find a table. We eventually found the host and they seated us at the bar. We also noticed people in line at the bar placing orders and taking a buzzer to have it delivered to them. The bartender was a good multi-tasker and was attentive to us while juggling so many customers and orders. Our food came quickly and we noticed a lot of people ordering what we ordered when they got to the bar. We tried the chicken karaage, pork ribs and salmon. All excellent choices! The pork ribs were falling off the bone and so tender. The sauce with the chicken karaage was so fresh and citrus and yummy. Salmon was cooked perfectly and great flavor. We can't wait to come back and try more food. Loved the vibe and it was an easy bus ride back to campus.
