Omg I love this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant to fulfill our dim sum craving and to celebrate our anniversary. Because we did a walk in, the restaurant was completely packed, but we still managed to get a seating spot outside under a heater, which was niceWe got a vegetarian dim sum, a chicken dim sum and some chili oil noodles. The chili oil noodles tasted more like peanut tea, Thai noodles, but I still enjoyed them my boyfriend also got some vegetables mixed Which he enjoyed a lot. The cost of the food was quite reasonable and we still had some leftovers for home!

We celebrated on Lunar New Year's night. Everything was so good especially the Lin's Soup Dumplings. The soup from the dumplings was so yummy. We also tried the akaushi beef potstickers, chao shou, dan dan noodles, vegetable dumplings, and the special whole fish red snapper with ginger onion soy sauce (market price $85). Service was great.Drinks were matcha bloom, gong xi, and jasmine tea. Gong xi comes with a cute lantern decor with the cocktail.Ambiance is very simple, comfortable, and quaint.

After living in Austin for over 15 years, I finally tried Lin's for the first time. Of course, my expectations were pretty high given how beloved this spot is. Unfortunately, it fell far short. The soup dumplings were very good. The Shrimp Har Gow were also had good flavor, though the skin was beyond chewy and therefore tough to bite into. It was all downhill from there, as the Akaushi Beef was ridiculously fatty and the Garlic Shrimp were a bit overdone causing them to also be quite chewy. The icing on the cake was the honey cheesecake, which was truly the worst dessert I've ever tried. Overall, I'd maybe give this place a second chance if only for the dumplings.

Going without a reservation, even on a weeknight, is not recommended. We found that out the hard way. The wait was only about 30 minutes, but it was worth it! Their staff, although busy, was thorough and friendly, especially the owner. She was kind enough to check on our party to ensure everything was to her standards and even explained some of her amazing dishes. I don't think anyone can go wrong with any dish here. The space was crowded, but the crowd dwindled down as our night went on. Try them out when you have a craving for dim sum. These are no doubt some of the best we have had in Texas!

Lin asian bar did not disappoint.I came with a group of friends for the dim sum brunch. There was 7 of us and the bill with tip came out to 54$ a person. We tried a variety of things, the cilantro and shrimp dumplings 4/5 , Dan Dan (this had a peanut sauce we were not fans of the texture or flavor) 1/5, soup dumplings both pork and seafood (I didn't try but everyone liked them) , the green beans were crisp and flavorful 5/5, the salt and pepper shrimp o oh came with about 8 shrimp total but flavor was 5/5, there was another crispy shrimp dish which came in a sauce that we enjoyed and I think it had a few more shrimp then the previous dish, the cucumbers could have been cut a tad thinner but had great flavor4/5 , the eggplant shrimp 2.5/5 the egg plant itself was flavorless, the Vietnamese coffee 4/5 .We had great service and dishes came out quickly, there's a cute patio out front and indoors is quite small. Reservations allow for 1.5 hours of dining. Parking in the back is tight and not a lot of spots. I would come back again to try other dishes they have to offer.

We went in to celebrate our little ones birthday without reservations. Luckily, we got seated. It was super busy but the food was so delicious. My in-laws love all the food as well. Their soup dumplings are perfection. Everything else was delicious as well. The Dan Dan noodles were great. The crispy shrimp was amazing. Overall, it definitely a place to get a reservation, it seems like a really busy spot.

Upscale popular Chinese and dim sum with great ambiance and excellent service. A great place to take family and less initiated friends for dim sum. It's very popular so make reservations or be prepared to wait an hour or more. It's upscale in ambiance and service as well so the prices are higher accordingly. The decor is on point and the murals on the side of the building are gorgeous. One of their signature dishes is their seafood soup dumpling. Think a giant soup dumpling containing a whole bowl of soup with large chunks of seafood in a rich and a flavorful broth. It looks really cool. It's a little difficult to eat without making a mess. The regular soup dumplings were very juicy. They give you a small cup to help you eat your soup dumpling instead of a traditional soup spoon which worked out well. All the dishes we had were delicious and upscaled from more traditional dim sum. Asian owned by Chef Ling. Love to support local small businesses with a great story. Parking is a little tricky. There's spots in the back and a lot near by with a few more spots as well as near by street parking.

One of the best dim sum restaurants we've ever tried! We were visiting for the weekend and wanted to find a fun dinner spot. Someone recommended we check out Lin and we were not disappointed. The cucumbers were refreshing and had just enough spice. The soup dumplings and pot stickers were a crowd favorite. The group was split on which was our favorites. For our main meals, we split the veggie lo mein, volcano shrimp and the sesame chicken. Each was amazing and perfect to share. I particularly loved the volcano shrimp and the pecans were so good. At the end of our meal we ordered another round of soup dumplings because we loved them so much! Service was great and helped us pick out our foods to make sure we had a good mix. Great restaurant and recommend bringing a group who likes to split so you can try a few things

Really good dim sum spot. It's a tiny spot and there was already a line when I got there at 10:25 before it opened so make sure you get a reservation or come early! The staff were super friendly and kind.

Excellent service & food. Our server, Digby, was friendly and attentive. He made suggestions and answered questions we had about certain dishes. There were eight of us so we ordered quite a bit of food. It was perfectly prepared and totally enjoyed. The dishes that I will absolutely order again are lobster balls, salt & pepper shrimp, lamb chops and soup dumplings. It is now our favorite Asian restaurant in Austin.
