The happy hour is so damn good!! 4-7 during the week and drinks and apps are $8! We ordered the Paloma and the Lupita - both delicious but ultimately the Lupita was the favorite - the watermelon tequila is amazing!! We also ordered the cochinita pibil sopecitos, the pastor quesadilla, and the chicken mole huaraches. Our favorites were the quesadilla and the chicken mole huarache - incredible both of them!! We absolutely loved them and had a great time for happy hour. Service was great and food came out quickly, we ate and drank and left in less than an hour! The indoor is very cute - but bring a coat in the winter bc it doesn't seem like their heat was working when we visited and it was a very cold day.

Food: 9/10Ambience: 2/10Service: 5/10Drinks: 5/10 We had only an OK time visiting Lichas. The food was fantastic though which makes me sad the service was so meh. Got there on a cold evening for a reservation and they sat us on back patio that was literally freezing. It's covered in tarps and plywood. House music is blasting from next door, competing with their own music so you can barely hear anything. There were multiple tables open under heaters and they refused to move us. When we left the restaurant was about 50% full so I'm not sure why it would've been such a hassle to move us. We were given blankets instead and they moved over a standing heater, removed the propane and never refilled it ... for $150 meal for 2 people id expect to not be so uncomfortable. The drinks were pretty watered down but the food... the food. Goat Birria was awesome and Sopecitos delicious. I'd do takeout from here again but not go back for the service

Yummy Oaxacan Food with seemingly handmade masa items. The complimentary chips and dip are incredibly unique and delicious. They resemble creamy, spicy salsa aioli dips. Try it--you won't regret it! :)The chicken mole huarache ($15) was both filling and flavorful. The interior is adorned with lots of biblical decor, which is quite interesting. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available.Service was prompt! :)

The only reason im giving it 2 stars is because our server and the staff were nice but otherwise they would get a 1 star review. The food was terrible, I ordered the fish tacos and my partner ordered the carne al pastor tacos, both dishes had no flavor whatsoever, it was mediocre at best. For being a restaurant at that price point, we were shocked by how poorly made those dishes were cooked. You can have better tasting tacos in any Mexican food truck for 1/3 of the price. It was a huge disappointment because we love Mexican food and we go all around town trying new places, but this one, this one has the spot for worst tasting.

2 words, lengua tacos. This spot is so authentic with their menu, and everything is delicious. It's perfectly situated amongst the craziness of the east side bars as a quick getaway. The margaritas are nice and strong and the servers are super nice. One of my fav spots in town!

Wow. Just wow. I was so impressed with this place and pleasantly surprised at how authentic and flavorful the food was. I had dinner here on a Friday night and it was packed and the atmosphere was lively. I loved that the restaurant is in an old house. The service was good and we got our food quickly. The first time I came to Licha's, I came during their happy hour for cocktails with the girls. The house was PACKED! Like all Austin restaurants, I would advise making reservations in advance. For reference, individual cocktails are $8, while a pitcher is $55. As tequila girlies, we ordered the Paloma and Spicy Margarita and were hooked! Both are tart, sweet & refreshing, while the spicy marg gave us a kick. Happy hour is served Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 6 pm. For my second time, I came during their regular hours for food, and not exactly what I was expecting. I grew up on TexMex, so let's throw in this disclaimer now, Licha's is NOT a TexMex establishment. I'm also not a connoisseur in Mexican food, but I know for damn sure this was not authentic Mexican food; this was Mexican food-- Austin style.
