We wanted so badly to like this venue but we just couldn't. We went by for a tour and they mentioned there was a wedding the night before. They showed us the inside and the owner mentioned we could use the tables inside for our cakes, gifts, etc but we weren't allowed to move any of her decor. It's because it is their home that they are living in! The groom quarters is there sons old room full of junk. And in the kitchen area there was a large bowl filled with old mail and moldy bread! That is the last thing I was my guests seeing at a wedding. The Vermont chairs were also very low and narrow so it would be difficult for any tall or wider guests. Wish we could have used this venue

WOW!!! Virginia & Chuck are two of the most kind-hearted folks you'll ever meet. From Day 1, my wife and I felt like they wanted our wedding to be the best it could possibly be and they did everything in their power to make that happen! The venue looked absolutely gorgeous when we arrived for our big day on 10/22. Their team exceeds the type of professionalism we were expecting. If you want to have an unforgettable wedding experience, pick Le San Michele! Your friends and family will thank you for bringing them there. I'm not sure why these negative reviews exist about working with Virginia or Chuck, because we couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you so much!!!

We attended a wedding last weekend at this venue.I can't speak for the wedding party who had to deal with the venue, just as a guest who attended the event. The venue was lovely aesthetically, however, left a lot to be desired, mostly for those with any mobility issues. The river stones in the reception area made every step difficult, and I didn't' wear heals. The stone dance floor was a bit treacherous also. The chairs were either to low, or sank into the river stone, making it difficult to get out of the chairs. Many steps in and out of the house where the restroom was located, also not ADA friendly. Not sure if there was a place for the bride and groom to dress, but the house was so small I can't imagine there was a room for that.Other wise, the grounds were beautiful.

I was seduced by the beauty of the grounds. The owner also talked a good game and advised us she wouldn't be more than other venues, even though she charged for things separately. We were constantly frustrated when we left meetings with her and never felt things were nailed down. They seemed to change all the time. I should have listened to my instincts. She had no business saying she could accommodate our party of 200 (her websites says she can accommodate 500) or that she had parking for 100. She was also not prepared with contingency plans for bad weather, which we did encounter. I would have been much better off going with a different venue for our wedding, which is sad to say, but I want to warn others so they don't experience the disappointment we did. The owner isn't a bad person, but not an effective event manager.

Le San Michele was everything we hoped it would be & so much more. Virginia, the property owner, is a gem & we loved working with her. All of our guests are still talking about how fabulous the venue was. We can't say enough good things about Le San Michele!

I attended a wedding here last weekend and everything was great. The grounds were beautiful and the weather was perfect. The location was just the right level of everything... Not to small and not over the top. I didn't get the chance to see the inside of the home but my wife assured me that it was nice and the staff were extremely kind and friendly.

We chose Le San Michele as our wedding venue. We hadn't attended any weddings in Austin area, so choosing a location of our own proved challenging. From the suggestion of my father-in-law, who had attended a wedding there a few months back, I decided to check the place out for myself. After checking out several other venues, I was beginning to feel hopeless in finding the perfect venue that would accommodate our needs ie. outdoor, countryside, no curfew, ceremony/reception capabilities, included dining seating. Located in the heart of beautiful Buda countryside, Le San Michele is a stunner. I knew instantly as we drove up on the property that this was going to be THE ONE. The venue owner, Virginia, lives on the property and you can truly experience the love she and her husband have put into this place. Always quick to respond, offer helpful vendor advice, and lend her incredible taste, Virginia is awesome! Our guests experienced a beautiful ceremony on an even more perfect landscape and we wouldn't have changed a thing. TRULY A MUST SEE! Le San Michele comes highly recommended. For what you get out of this venue, the price is also on par and quite affordable considering the cost of other similar venues we checked out.

We had our wedding here and everything was absolutely perfect. Virginia is so accommodating, we had 6 hours in our contract for set up and tear down which was more than enough. House is beautiful, furniture is comfortable, "bridal and groom suites" (family bedrooms) are clean and charming. It was great to get ready there because my husband ran set-up and needed to shower. We had last minute changes and Virginia trusted us with those... she's so awesome and easy to work with.

We got married here last month and it outshined our expectations! Guests were coming up to us saying our wedding was prettier than their own! Virginia and her husband live on the property and so they ask that their renters follow a few rules, like not showing up before your scheduled time on the day of (even though your vendors can show up and set things up outside whenever they want). I thought these boundaries were perfectly reasonable and they did not hinder our day what so ever. The grounds are immaculately kept and there is plenty of space to set up your wedding however you want! It was a magical day. I highly recommend Le San Michele!

Recently attended a wedding at this venue. While the venue is absolutely stunning, the owner was not. The bride and groom had the hardest time with her. She renigged on everything she originally promised, refused to give back their deposit after dodging phone calls and emails for a couple weeks. She put together an invoice of made up charges and basically swindled them. On the day of the wedding, she refused to let anyone (vendors, wedding party, guests) on the premises until 30 minutes before the ceremony. Literally, her and her husband stood outside the closed gate watching cars pile up. Once everyone made it inside all seemed good until guests went inside to use the restroom and the owner was sitting in the living room scowling and treating everyone with a bad attitude. The entire ceremony and reception were lovely, if I wasn't close with the bride and groom I would have no idea anything went wrong. That being said, take this as a warning. Be very specific and get EVERYTHING in writing when booking this venue. This woman made their wedding day so stressful when it didn't need to be. I wish anyone else luck!
