We had a great time at Lazarus Brewing!!! We stopped in for a couple of beers and a little snack. My wife and I both got a flight and a pint. We split an order of plantain chips, while they were good they were a little pricey for the amount. We loved thier venue and thought it was very open and had a lot of space. We sat at the bar. We loved chatting with the staff. All of the food that we kept seeing looked wonderful. And the coffee they kept brewing, smelled so good!We will return next time we are in Austin!

MEXICAN FRIED RICE. bomb. JACKFRUIT CARNITAS??? Wow. I love it when restaurants explore ingredients you wouldn't think to combine in a fusion dish like this. This serving was massive, I definitely could have shared but did I? No. Did I eat every bite? Yea.Other than the great food on the menu, Lazarus is a brewing company with many different beers to taste. I don't remember the one I got but there were lots to choose from. I really liked the vibe of Lazarus, it's the perfect place to hang out with a group or go solo and do some work on the patio.

This really is a good spot. The coffee is always hot and free refills. That's actually tough to find because so many places serve specialty drinks and don't keep their old fashioned coffee hot, so it's nice to have a place to rely on. If food is four stars, people are five. Just a nice place to be. I tried new coffee shops for a week and went to about 5 new ones all around east Austin and my conclusion was I really appreciate good old Lazarus for the open atmosphere, reliably good coffee and generally quiet crowd of locals. The new shops were interesting but Lazarus has a different level of professionalism. It's an old-school industry vibe of cool locals that I miss about Austin in the 90s / early 2000s. Coffee: Always good and their mugs aren't those 5lbs chunks of porcelain which helps keep the coffee hot. After 1:00 PM or so, they make each cup with this machine that brews a single cup (not a Keurig) and it's really fresh. I feel guilty getting refills because they have to keep making it, but it might be the best cup of coffee in Austin. Food: Tacos: Only tried breakfast tacos. Pretty good. Right price at $4.50, not $6.00. Tortas: Bread is fresh. I do low carb so I don't have much experience with it, but I remember the bread being really good. Rice Bowls: This is my go to because the Al Pastor is so well made as are the black beans. Seriously if you like black beans these will rival your best ever. Beer: People seem to like it. I've never tried it (allergic).

We've been by like a million times and always say, "let's try that out someday". Well, we did and it was great! Love the indoor/outdoor area and the kids play area is nice to have. It's def a neighborhood vibe. The food is good and there are some good options on the menu and the beer is good. The wait crew were pretty cool and mindful of the people. The kitchen was pretty fast too. Loved it!

Great spot with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed with either the beer or the food (I have not tried the coffee yet, but it smells amazing). The wine list is also great for those who do not like beer. The brewery is dog friendly and perfect for hanging with friends, studying / getting work done, or people watching. We'll definitely be back.By the way, for being on the East Side, parking is actually pretty easy to find, at least in my experience.

I've been here a couple of times for a book club and it's a fantastic meet up spot! It's a typical Austin space with a huge outdoor patio, good vibes, people with dogs and hard to find parking. Overall a great spot for catching up, a great chill atmosphere. Their food is great, I've tried their nachos and the refried black beans were AMAZING, can't wait to order them again.

What a great spot to hang out! They have drinks and they have snacks. They have many, many tables outside under cover with misters and a limited number of bar-style seating indoors. You order inside and then take your drinks and/or order number on a flag to a table outside. Food doesn't take long and they bring it to your table for you. Dogs are welcome in the patio area :)The only downside is the parking in their lot is very, very limited so you'll probably end up parking on the street nearby.

First visit to the new location and it is gorgeous! Cozy vibes, and looks unique and memorable. They have a cool upstairs in the main building. In the outside patio they have a covered area and then a kids play area and lots of Adirondack chairs. We sat in the separate "events" building where they also have brewing equipment in view., when they don't have events you're free to use that area. They have a nice single bathroom available in there as well. The beers were wonderful! We came specifically for the rice lager release and Wow it was impressive. We also got a flight to try more options, their flights come in 4s. They had a food truck that was delicious! The downsides were the service wasn't ideal, crabby attitudes and wrong beers were poured and was made to feel it was a hassle to fix their mistakes. They say "ample" parking on site and I suppose if you take into account the residential side streets, sure, but it is a little bit of a walk and most certainly in the dark.

Came in after a hike and I ordered the Blasphemy sour. The flavor was great, smooth, and had a good amount of tartness where it wasn't impossible to drink. I also ate some chips with queso. The queso had a good flavor and contained onions and meat. There is a lot of seating at Lazarus - both inside and out. Inside there is an upper level and also there is a second building with seating. Great place to work. Staff was kind and answered questions my group had about food and beer.

This place would be ok if it didn't take an hour to get subpar breakfast tacos, assuming they ever arrive at all.Every time I come here, it's as if management is surprised customers are going to be here, too. Why am I waiting 20 minutes to order food, and another 40 minutes to get it? The universe is filled with mysteries. Also, the playground is filled with little miscreants and half-hammered dads.
