The Good: Service and the food was excellent! This is my go-to place for carbonara. Was excited to see they reopened closer to home. The Not So Good: Would have loved a little more pancetta with my carbonara to bring more salt to the dish - but that might be a personal preference The Bad: Nope! not a thing.

La Traviata joins Carve, Popular and Wu's in the ever growing area on SW Parkway. We were looking forward to the addition of Italian to the flavor flave in this developing center. Ms Suze got us a reservation on a tuesday night at 7.30pm. As a newly minted Medicare participant, this was late, but hoped we could show up early and perhaps grab a seat at the bar. As luck would have it, we were able to do just that. We settled down at the corner of the bar with the nice vantage of looking across the whole restaurant. It is a very purty place, with some awesome lamps on the tables. Clean and fresh is the vibe. It was definitely getting busy. We were greeted by Crystal and Paul complimented my glasses. That was a first for me. Yay! I'm styling some Warby Parkers bro!We grabbed a couple glasses of white wine and perused the simple menu. It was well laid out and Crystal let us know the special appetizers and the entree for the evening. We opted for the Crispy Polenta Fries with fresh rosemary and creamy gorgonzola sauce. Fabulous choice. This arrived quickly and we noshed them down. Tasty, hot, crispy and the dipping sauce was a great compliment. At this point, we chatted and were asked about entree's. We wanted to grab the Focaccia to munch and enjoy our wine. Crystal asked about entrée's to go along with it. We kind of knew what we wanted so we let her know and relaxed. The Focaccia arrived and literally, immediately afterwards our entrée's did as well. It must of been all but 5 minutes or so after we ordered. This was odd for us, since this was totally out of the norm from our experiences at dining establishments. It kind of felt like dishes were just re-heated and sent out to the table.I had ordered the Mushroom Carbonara, Smoked mushroom, onions, cream, parmesan, egg, and spaghetti and Suzie the Spicy Fennel Sausage Rigatoni. Spicy fennel pork sausage, roasted peppers, chili flakes, caramelized onion, tomato sauce, cream, basil, and pinenuts. My Carbonara didn't seem to have any Mushrooms at all, but a lovely egg yoke on the top. I realized after a bit that I had actually received their traditional carbonara. No worries, it was flavorful, filling and good. The Spicy Fennel was also very well prepared, tasty and also good. We really loved the the Focaccia which was like a huge cupcake with some roasted garlic, oil and olives to dip the bread in. Crunchy outside and soft, hot, chewy interior. Never seen such a presentation, but definitely to order next time we are in.Just some observations. Now that I know the speed of delivery of the dishes, we will stagger our visit so we can visit with each other and move through our dinner at our pace. I was actually pleasantly surprised at price point. Our pasta's were $27 a piece, wine was priced as expected, but all the menu items were in the $20-$30 range. For the quality, this was refreshing. Sitting at the bar was fun and we met a great couple next to us which we visited with and enjoyed conversation and had some more wine. What going out is all about. I feel the servers Paul/Crystal are overwhelmed at times since it seemed they were not only serving a full bar, but also were waiting on some tables in front of the bar. This left us sometimes unattended to when we needed refills or getting some dessert ordered. Perhaps they were short handed that night? Not sure, but it felt like a big ask for them to handle all these folks, while bartending for the entire bar/restaurant, they needed to also take care of tables. Our tab was accidently charged for 2 Rigatoni's and my Carbonara, which I pointed out and was corrected. Accidents happen, glad I caught it.There is much here to like and will be a spot for us to visit again. Welcome to the hood, glad to have more Italian options for us.

On a whim we decided to eat here for lunch. First the space is so pretty, comfortable and inviting. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and offered a place to sit. Our waitress came over within minutes with water and told us the specials and asked if we had any questions before she gave us a few minutes to review the menus. My husband got the soup of the day, a creamy mushroom thickened with potatoes. It was delicious. The presentation was beautiful as well. He got the smoked mushroom carbonara and he said it was incredible. He liked that there was just enough sauce to coat the noodles. I tried it and found it to be ok, but would have loved more sauce. I got the chopped salad and changed the cheeses and dressing and it was delicious! The lemon dressing is Devine. We both agreed this is a deserving of 5 stars restaurant! We will definitely be back and can't wait to try dinner with friends.

Everything was fresh and amazing! I loved how crispy yet lightly breaded the calamari was. I ordered the mussels and added extra spaghetti, which made the meal amazing! My fiancé ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was amazing. Overall would come back here again

I loved the aesthetic-very minimalist but still comfortable. The service was very good. I wish the menu had some supplemental hot veg but there were several salads to choose from that were big enough to share. My pasta was plated beautifully but the sauce was broken. I will definitely try again. I should have sent the pasta back but I wanted my dinner to go smoothly. Good wine list!

Food was amazing, ambience was amazing, our server was amazing, all around I think you should definitely give this place a try! Definitely on the pricier side, but the main dishes could easily feed two if you fill up on the appetizers like we did!
