Here's the version with your latest addition about other reviews:Review of Kerbey Lane CaféWe were initially excited for our visit to Kerbey Lane. The greeting was warm, parking was easy, and the décor was beautiful.Unfortunately, the service went downhill fast. Our server, Samuel, was super awkward throughout the meal. He didn't write down our order, forgot our drinks, and served a pork chop smothered in compote, even though we asked for none. To top it off, the cornbread was bigger than the pork chop. He never refilled our drinks or checked on us, and even walked away mid-sentence when frustrated with his point-of-sale device. At one point, Samuel offered queso to the kids behind us, and when they asked if it was free, he responded with, "Someday you will learn money isn't everything." It was uncomfortable to witness. We also watched another couple come in, order, and get served before we even got our dessert. After looking at other reviews, it seems like we're not the only ones who had this awkward service experience. Something really needs to be done about this. The atmosphere was nice, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Consistently delicious breakfast.Love their cinnamon swirl pancakes, especially because you can get them gluten free. Honestly fries are bomb.We always join the waitlist before and do some shopping around. Service is quick most times, even when it's extremely busy.

Kirby lane - an Austin staple that gives you a lot of food! Love their queso, and like to sit at the bar (it's much faster than waiting for a seat and you can watch the cooking machine work). Haven't had a bad experience yet outside of the nightmare that is trying to park on a weekend. Try their seasonal French toast (it's dense!) or the Migas! Sandwiches are decent too. Our server at this location was also pretty nice even while being very busy

I've been to Kerbey Lane many times over and multiple locations over 20 years. I took a few friends last night and this was the first time I'd ever been disappointed. The food was alright but the service was so abysmal. The maitre de tried to seat us at a 8 top outside (there were three of us). When we finally got seated and put in our order, that went smoothly. I ordered Nabil Mis-East salad. When it came out, I asked for salad dressing because he didn't bring any. He said oh I forgot to tell you that we are out of the kind it comes with. He suggested another. Honestly, while the replacement was okay, I would have changed my order if I had know they didn't have the usual dressing. My friend asked for salt and pepper and didn't want to start eating without it. After quite some time, we asked a neighboring table. Just the service seemed so lackadaisical this time. It was sad. My salad was okay. My friend's meatloaf had Bevo orange gravy which was odd but meh.

Love Kerbey lane. Always have. Came in for a late breakfast on President's Day, ordered from our FABULOUS server, BUT. Our food came out cold. Not being a Karen when I say that. Room temp at best. Ordered omelette: Cali (signature Kerbs) and a baked potato. Not even kidding when I tell you that the Cali was all egg with what seemed like a few slices of avocado, maybe a half dozen diced tomatoes, and not even a tablespoon of hollandaise on top of the egg. My baked potato omelette was mostly sour cream and scooped all in the center. Picture dumplings from your favorite Asian food joint. Never have I ever since my very first memories of eating at Kerb back in 1980 when I was but decade old. We won't stop eating at Kerbey Lane, ever. But, I am so disappointed this trip, and my kids are the only people I should be disappointed with. Hoping this is a one off at this location.

Not so good compared to the breakfasts I've enjoyed in Austin. Cornbread Benedict with supposed wagyu beef really missed the mark. The flavors were So strange and the small beef cubes were grizzly tough and flavorless, hardly wagyu beef. The Out of the World queso was skimpy so I asked for more to cover the dish cost $2.75!!! But still the flavors as disappointing. The service was very good and the holiday coffee peppermint mocha was yummy. But I'll keep looking for better breakfast.

Kerbey Lane is always good enough but never exciting. It's where you go when you want a casual meal out, with something to suit everyone in your party, and don't want to go to a national chain. This particular Kerbey Lane location holds a fond place in my heart because it's where my friends and I ended up my first Thanksgiving in Austin. We naively thought going out for dinner on a holiday was a good idea. Hours later we had an adequate, albeit untraditional meal. Recently, some friends met here for brunch. I discovered the Texas Benedict, featuring eggs, steak avocado, and queso over cornbread, and that will become my new standard order whenever I end up here again.

Great Restaurant! The parking lot is big but I find that it's hard to find a parking spot during certain times of the day. We went in at around 12PM on a Saturday and I think I found the very last parking spot available. Ive been shopping in that same parking lot and had the Same issue but I did end up getting a parking spot both times. The Staff is incredible they are very kind and accommodating. Me and my friend went in for brunch.I started off with a hot matcha latte with almond milk. I love Matcha and this is probably one of the best ones I've had here in Austin. I normally feel like the others taste a bit watered down but this one was really concentrated and delicious I didn't add any sweetener and I didn't feel like it needed it. For my meal I ordered the Buffalo Mac it was tasty. I would have preferred for only the chicken to have the buffalo sauce and the Mac and cheese just be Mac and cheese without buffalo in it because I felt like the buffalo was overwhelming since it was in both the chicken and mixed in the Mac and cheese. I also ordered the flight of pancakes I got their monthly pancake which was the peach cobbler, the lemmon poppy seed, and the cinnamon roll. They were good. My friend ordered the Orange Mocha Latte and COBB salad which she really enjoyed. I would visit again. I like that instead of reservations you can get on a waitlist online from home and if you time it right when you arrive you're ready to be seated. Great experience overall!

I truly enjoyed everything! Ambiance was clean and pretty. Our server was kind and very helpful. Food was amazing, I had a Chicken Verde Omelette and a cinnamon swirl pancake. The omelette was cooked perfectly and it was very well served. I LOVED THE PANCAKE! 10/10 recommend.
