What an amazing neighborhood Japanese restaurant. The sushi is outstanding and the creativity on the rolls is incredible. They do a great job of balancing the fish with the accompanying ingredients and it works really nicely. The Big Toro is stacked and packed with wonderful fatty tuna. The truffle and caviar topping really compliment the tuna. Highly recommended! The Volcano roll looks overly complicated but wow does it pack a flavor punch. It was one of our favorites. The hidden gem is the Tonkatsu. Easily the best dive had in Austin and comparable to some of the best I had in Japan. Juicy, crunchy and the sauce really hits home. Service was fast and friendly.

Just WOW!Small, non-descript place in a shopping mall I wouldn't have thought to try but someone on TikTok was raving about it and it's local, so...Couldn't get a reservation so showed up right and 5 and got in.The interior is super cute with clean decor and some traditional looking (tatami?) booths. We were seated at sushi bar and Victoria was our server. She was charming, attentive and helpful explaining the menu.We got:KT Special - spicy tuna on crispy rice (10/10 - no notes).Vegetable Tempura - I was surprised when she recommended it, thinking it would just be the basic "slice of this, hunk of that"...but what we were served was a medley of thinly sliced mixed veg in a beautiful tempura batter with a really delicious sauce. (9.5/10).By now we were actually feeling a bit full (generous portions), so at this point, I ended up cancelling some of what we had ordered! We got a Bernie and a Yuki roll.I didn't try the Bernie (Victoria said it was her favorite and my husband loved it) because it had cream cheese and I'm not a fan of that combo. The Yuki roll was a spicy scallop cut roll topped with hamachi and roe. Absolutely delicious, although not very spicy (9/10). We ended with the hamachi carpaccio, which was 5 generous slices of buttery sashimi in a beautiful sauce with some tasty garnishes (9.5/10)We had a bottle of sake and the bill was less than $130. Left full with leftovers (tempura reheated well in air fryer).Love this place! Will absolutely be regulars.

For Cedar Park, Kane Sushi stands out very well. I'd rate this a bit higher than a 4 out of 5, say 4.2 or 4.1, as Tsuke to Otoko are incredible experiences for sushi. Let's get into the review:Pros:- Shopping mall-like parking (easy)- Spacious seating for dining- Sake, beer, and wine- Big cuts of fish Side Notes:- No hard liquor - Only open 5 to 9:30 PM (7 days)- Accepts reservationsWhat We Got:- Ton of nigiri (more below)- Rainbow / Spider row - Premium sake + SapporoWhat We Loved: Design/Space: They did a great job on the design. You have private areas, or you can sit by the bar. We have been there three times now, one takeout, one time by the bar, and another time in a booth. We prefer sitting at the bar to engage more with people. We don't remember the music played as we were conversing with our neighboring guests. Food/Drinks: They have a premium sake list that pairs well with your sushi, but don't expect pairing like a Michelin location where they hand-select wines/sakes for each bite. However, it was delicious, and you can't go wrong with a Sapparo. The fish cuts are really big, so this is the place for those who like it. I prefer slightly smaller so that the balance from the rice to the fish is perfect, but it was delicious. Most people love fatty tuna and uni, and although both were great, the Kinmedai (Golden Snapper) and Madai (Japanese Sea Bream) stood out the most. The takeout boxes are designed nicely and prepared nicely.Staff: The staff was very friendly and responsive (no complaints). Opportunities To Improve: I haven't tried the omakase here, so I don't know if the experience differs. I would love to engage with the chefs to learn more about the fish, etc., but we ordered a la carte, so next time. It's not an improvement per se, as I can't speak on an experience I haven't tried yet with their omakase. Summary:For sushi in Cedar Park, it's a great experience. It's nice to have good sushi in the area, and the price is slightly higher than average for what you get. It's not a top-end experience such as Otoko or Tsuke, so if you are looking for a Japanese Old Fashioned, or have conversations with the sushi chef about where they sourced the fish, this might not be the place for you. Great addition to Cedar Park!

Kane is the best restaurant in Cedar Park, period. My husband and I have been visiting every 2-3 weeks for dinner ever since we moved into the neighborhood 4 months ago, and the quality of their food and service has been consistent every time. The cozy, traditional Japanese interior design paired with a modern menu creates an atmosphere and experience that feels upscale and perfect for date night. Their Saturday evenings book rather quickly, so I recommend making a reservation for any other night of the week.Drinks (4/5) - The white yuzu beer is my go-to, very light and refreshing without overpowering citrus flavor. I find the lychee sake a bit too sweet, and much prefer their house sake which tastes very clean. Love their selection of different teas, as well.A la carte sushi (5/5) - My favorite way to order! Such generous portions of very fresh fish. Quality is on par with Uchiko without breaking the bank. Their more expensive pieces will come topped with caviar and edible gold leaf. I specifically recommend ordering the Buri, O-Toro, Aji, Uni (Japan), A5 Wagyu, and Ikura. Cooked food (4/5) - Get the uni pasta at least once, it's so creamy and delicious with different layers of complex flavor despite being 95% empty carbs and fat. The fried rice here is also amazing, whether it be the chasu or wagyu, and we typically place an order to-go at the end of our meal. Do not order the tonkotsu if you are a ramen snob, the broth and pork will never compare to a specialty shop.Special rolls (3/5) - The only one worth ordering is the Big Toro, because every bite will feel like the first time. The decadence and fattiness of the tuna is addictive, would highly suggest not ruining it with added soy sauce. Sadly, the majority of their remaining special rolls are too heavily drenched in sweet sauces to appeal to the typical American palate.

Kane Sushi is an absolute gem hidden in Cedar Park, and we're so glad we found it! Their $150 omakase for 15 courses is worth every penny. The sushi was phenomenal--fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned with big, beautiful cuts of fish. The chefs and staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the experience even more special. They even surprised us with a few extra courses, which was such a thoughtful touch. The service was fast without ever feeling rushed, allowing us to savor every bite. The ambiance was spot-on--intimate, modern, and perfect for an elevated dining experience. It's clear they put a lot of thought into both the food and the atmosphere. If you're looking for amazing sushi and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Kane Sushi truly feels like a hidden treasure, and we can't wait to come back!

Kane is my favorite sushi restaurant in the Cedar Park/Austin area. It's a great place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion. We've been back several times and always have a delicious experience with excellent service.I really love the decor and the horigotatsu seating (a traditional Japanese table low to the ground with a recessed floor).Their sushi is phenomenal. Not only is it beautifully presented, but the fish is fresh, high quality and the ratio of fish to rice is perfect. I recommend ordering a variety of their nigiri. I'd like to come back and try their katsu sometime.Sometimes they can accept walk ins, but they are usually pretty busy, so get reservations.

Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time on Valentine's Day and genuinely loved this spot. I have had this restaurant saved for a long time now so I was really excited to try it. The restaurant itself is smaller than I expected, very intimate vibe though. We were sat at a traditional table but for parties larger than 2, they have these tables with a sunken pit for your feet. It looked super cute! We both started off with some miso soup and an order of gyozas. Both were very good, the miso soup had a strong miso flavor and the gyozas were great, the wrapper was a perfect texture and the dipping sauce was so good and vinegary which I enjoyed. We ended up getting the lion roll, MT roll, and the yuki roll. All of them were excellent but the MT and lion rolls were our favorites. The service here was fantastic and everything we tried was great, definitely a fair price I think. I am super excited to come back and try more of the menu!

LOVEEEE! My second time here so you know it's worth coming back!! A5 wagyu just melts in your mouth and looks so fancy with the caviar and uni on top. The scallop nigiri is my favorite!! I know this is a sushi place but their uni pasta is sooo good!! Though if you get it, you may be pretty full haha. The ramen is just ok, nothing special. The matcha tiramisu disappointed me because it was really just cream with some matcha powder on top. It looks cool but there was barely any cake base. I was scraping and scraping only to find I was scraping the wooden box. Besides these, their sushi is really worth your money.
