There has been an influx of Korean restaurants, but KPUB makes it feel like a version of Koreatown (similar to the one in LA) is coming to Austin. A chicken, beer, soju, and eatery, it's been in the Cedar Park area with karaoke, authentic Korean food, and a lot of, you guessed it, soju.----Review SummaryPros:- Plenty of parking- Traditional Korean dishes- Full bar (soju to whiskey)- Karaoke rooms - Fair prices for food and drinks - Korean music blastingSide Notes:- Can make resys for larger parties- Closed on Mon and for lunch hours- Order via food appsWhat We Got:- Misc dishes - Karaoke room - Terra and Soju ----Detailed ReviewDesign/Space: Being from LA, this felt like a 술집 ("sul-eul jib" drinking home/place) in the heart of Koreatown. From KPOP (pop to hip-hop) to sports playing, the only difference is that you get the Dodgers or the Lakeshow games in LA. There are plenty of spots to sit with small to large groups, the bar seating, and private karaoke rooms to eat, sing, and drink with friends. Food/Drinks: You'll find your fan-faves from KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) to the rare things I love, such as chicken gizzards. You get a full bar, from Jameson to Johnny Walker Black, and then your choice of soju brands and beers (IPA to Asian-based beers). Like many Korean spots around town that serve soju, they know all the Korean games to drink and how to make every Korean drink, such as Somaek (소맥 - beer and soju mix). Staff: The owners are from LA, so they brought that vibe, food, and overall experience to Austin (Cedar Park). The staff is very friendly. My cousin recently lost his phone, and not only did they find it, but the manager charged it. Opportunities To Improve: This location has events and more, so check out its IG. It would be nice if it was open for lunch, but you might be tempted to drink soju during the day, which could be good or bad (it's 5 p.m. somewhere, right?). ----Overall SummaryIf you want to spend a night out with friends, drinking soju and singing songs at the same spot, KPUB is your destination. Even if it's out of your way, it's worth checking out, as the food is excellent, the vibes are great, and the owners welcome everyone.Don't forget to Uber or have a DD if you drink - the soju can creep up on you!

4.5 stars Food portions here are huge and meant to be shared. This place is pretty big and has lots of tables. You scan the QR code to order and pay. The staff is very nice and fast enough with all the dishes. Food:Spicy snails with veggies - wasn't sure what to expect but this dish was excellently seasoned and the snails had a nice chewy texture similar to squid. The noodles were a nice compliment to the snails and veggies. The dish was a little spicy but not too spicy for me. Spicy squid - delicious LA galbi - the seasoning was very good. I just wish the meat had more lean meat. Fried wings with soy garlic - deliciously seasoned and the chicken was nicely fried to a crunch

Let me start by saying that the food was delicious. The garlic edamame, LA Galbi, and specialty sushi were all delicious. The mermaids meadow and dragon breath roll are both very good/unique, but know that there is just one guy (nice work, Sushi by Han!) so it takes a while...The reason I didn't give 5 stars is related to the bar program. They have lots of drinks on their (online) menu but very few have descriptions. With so little to go on, my wife ordered a Moscow mule, but they were out of ginger beer. When someone from the bar came to tell us, the offered alternative was a cran-vodka-soda. I asked about a Tom Collin's and they told me it was a whiskey cocktail... I ordered the Mexican martini and was pretty surprised when it came out in a highball glass on crushed ice. It was not bad, but not great, especially for the price...The kpubtini was good. All that to say, I think they could do better with the drinks and I think it would benefit their business in the long run. You can't sell people $16 drinks without any explanation of that they're buying...The restaurant is clean and buzzing with club vibes. There's relatively loud music playing (complete with DJs on the TV screens) . It's totally appropriate for a place also renting karaoke rooms. The servers come by from time to time and are polite, but you'll mostly be transacted via online ordering.I would come back to try more of the sushi rolls. It did seem to be getting more full as the evening wore on, so I'd come earlier if possible.

One of the few places that open late in austin. They also have a karaoke room too. You order through their QR code and pay online. My favorite dish from them is the spicy seafood hot pot. We asked to switch the udon noodle for ramen. It was really yummy but they took a while making it. I also tried their fried chicken. They cook it really well, but their cheese flavoring need more powder on it. It tasted like normal fried chicken. Their dumpling and la galbi were decent. The corn cheese wasn't the best. I didn't like their rice cake and sausage skewer. The sauce tasted too much like ketchup.

K pub just added sushi to their menu and it's pretty decent. Tried a few rolls and really enjoyed the taste of the ingredients. Also tried a few Korean dishes too like bulgogi fries, buldak chicken, fishcake hotpot, and galbi. Great variety of foods, opens late night, and the service is great. Located in a plaza so lots of parking in the shared lot.

Amazing K pubtini. And the food! Sweet corn, Seafood soup was spicy and flavorful. But my favorite is the sashimi sampler. All fresh and the cut was perfect. Service: I don't like ordering on the app/qr code so the server let me order the old style way. A plus for an old school like me. Clean place.

Funky fun Korean BBQ. Yes there are lots of stylish dishes and a build your own menu to suit everyone, but at is core, they make really really good Korean BBQ meats. Also tried the kimchi fries. Very good. Mild kimchi flavor of you are intimidated.Great prices, fast service... Definitely return.

First time here last night and had a great time. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the fried chicken, squid and pork belly and cheese corn. The kimchee was homemade and one of the best ive had. Everything was great and service was also on point. Looking forward to coming back and trying some more new stuff.
