Quoted a 2hr wait got in under 1.Had drink while we wait but had to fight our way to the bar.Ambiance overall was very nice. I like the dark lighting and the record player music, The food was ok. French onion was very good. I had the duck special which was severely under rendered. Drinks top notch.

Used to frequent Justine's 8 years ago. Now, not sure I'd come back. No reservations unless 6 or more sucks. Waiting in a 20 minute line to reach the front and be told it'll be 90 minutes for a table. Sweet. The food was good. Nothing special by any means and for the price, no thanks. Of course, full of too-cool entitled types, but what isn't these days? Sad.

Justine's was delicious! They did not skimp you on the Parmesan over the Bolognese. The mussels were fresh too!A cute spot with lots of character.

I was completely enamored by Justine's Brasserie. Of all the places that I ate and drank at in Austin, this was probably my favorite. Why? The vibes are so eclectic and the drinks and food were excellent. We opted for a resi here on our last night of my friend's bachelorette. I thought perhaps we'd have a semi chill dinner on a Sunday night but not here - this place was packed! We sat inside at a table near the bar which was totally bustling on a Sunday evening. It seems like this is a place where people enjoy having a cocktail (or three). When I had done my research about this spot, I know they are known for late night imbibing so I figured the vibe would be fun. I ordered a dirty martini for my cocktail and shared the escargot with my friend. It was delish. I also opted for steak frites as my dinner. No lie, this may have been one of the best steak frites I have ever had. It's made with Ribeye and you can choose from three different sauces to accompany it. I went all in and got all three, but the roquefort one was my absolute fave. When we finished dinner there was a night market set up with local vendors and a DJ. You could grab a drink at the outdoor bar and walk around and shop. I really liked the energy of this place, and it seems that it is a local favorite. It makes sense, because if I lived in Austin this would totally be a spot that I'd hang out at regularly. Would definitely recommend for date night, girls night, or just a fun drink at the bar solo!

Justine's offers a delightful brasserie experience with standout French classics. Their beef tartare is an absolute must-try--the best I've had in ages! The duck was another highlight, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. I ventured to try the hamachi special, but it didn't quite match the excellence of their signature dishes; next time, I'll stick with their French staples. The ambiance is charming, with French conversations and a cozy outdoor patio that enhances the dining experience. While street parking and the crammed patio can be challenges, it's a great spot for al fresco dining--just maybe not with a dog on a busy Friday night. Service was polite but understandably slow, as our server was juggling multiple tables. We enjoyed the leisurely, European-style pacing, especially on such a beautiful evening.Justine's remains a fantastic choice for classic French cuisine and a unique, relaxed vibe. Will return for more!

Autumn evenings are pretty much perfect in Austin. What a joy to linger over dinner with wonderful friends on the patio at Justine's. Before tonight, I had only ever eaten at the bar, which gets absolutely packed. The patio is like a different place altogether. The pace is much more relaxed, and they had plenty of room. The food was every bit as gorgeous as it has ever been. I had fromages and French onion soup with a glass (or two) of the house red. My friends enjoyed their meals too. Justine's doesn't take reservations; so we came early enough to breeze in with no wait! But just 10-15 minutes later, there was a line to the sidewalk. Because there is so much room, they allow dogs on the patio. Our pup lounged in the garden next to our table. We parked across the street and enjoyed a drink at Central Machine Works before dinner. I can't wait to go back!

Looking back on this I don't know why I paired an espresso martini with ratatouille so let's just address it and move on -This was my first time trying ratatouille!!! Just a whole bunch of beautifully stewed veggies with a baguette??? Yup. Sign me up every time. I felt like a very fancy rabbit eating this dish (positive connotation). The vibe of Justine's deserves it's own paragraph: it's one of the sexiest restaurants I've been to in Austin. It's so mooooody and freeeench. xoxoxoxoxo

The food was slightly above average. The service was reasonable (with some delay in seating because they only had one tablet for taking revelations and seating walk-ins). The decor is definitely a sight to see. They have seating in the "tent", the main room and outside.

I've been going to Justine's since they opened, way back when, and have always enjoyed the ambience, drinks and food. Business associates from back in the day, Ambrose and Paul, turned me onto the place as I would do business with their wood fabrication studio, Hewn, quite often. Paul told me he and his partner actually sold the property to the owners, Pierre and Justine, who I've met before and are a lovely couple. Just saying I've spent a lot of hard-earned cash on food and drinks at Justine's over the last few decades!Getting back to the review of my latest experience at the bar and restaurant I can only say that everything was wonderful from the get go. The French hostess was kind and accommodating when I told her about my history with the place. The French bartender was also super friendly and made wonderful drinks! I can also give my compliments to the kitchen for a wonderful meal with friends. They were very accommodating sitting all of us at the same table. When you're in the mood for Gallic in Texas think of this little bungalow/bar/ restaurant on the Eastside of Austin. It's as authentically French as any brasserie, bistro or restaurant I've been to in the United States. If you're wanting an authentic French atmosphere, with wonderful food and drinks, head on over to Justine's and you won't be disappointed!

The service was terrible. The escargot platting was sloppy. The decor in the overflow pop up is tacky and dated. The long waits for seating makes for rude irritable patrons waiting in a cramped space. The hostess allowed a patron to suggest those who are waiting go to Taco Bell instead and cut their loses as she had been waiting 3 hours to be seated. The menu is outdated and uninspired conjuring thoughts of Martha Stewart's Living, 90'S edition. The decorators attempt at trendy and sexy fall short, landing on trite.
