Food was 10/10!! Service was very good too. I love taking my time with dinner and trying all the courses and that is what we did! Arrived at 7:15, left 3 hours later. All of the pastas were amazing!! Focaccia was warm and fresh, the prosciutto and pear was really good. The wagyu was sooooooo good!! Cooked perfectly. I asked for medium and it came more medium rare but it was so good so I didn't mind. We wanted cake for desert and they didn't have any on the menu so the server gave us an off menu option. They do have valet parking but I found a street free spot around the corner super close. My only sort of complaint is we say in the patio and it was 30 degrees outside. It was enclosed and they had heaters but it was still a bit cold. I would still go again!

Went to Juniper for their Valentine's Day set menu experience. Made a reservation in advance (which required a credit card but doesn't actually charge the meal price unless you do not show up). Were seated immediately at the chef's table where we could watch the inner working of the kitchen. The inside of the restaurant is nice, a darker moody kind of vibe amid all the rest of the food scene in this area. The team was nice to us, we basically had direct access to both of the main bartenders sitting where we did.Food came out at a very reasonable pace, and we were in and out in just under and hour and a half. The food itself was good but nothing super special (and quite expensive for the portions). The set menu included the following portions (1 per person): Apps, pasta, entree, dessert.FOODApps: The beet salad was good, the crisp potato with caviar was okay [but included an additional up charge so did not seem worth it]Pasta: our favorite partEntree: the steak option was cooked well but not seasoned at all, the pork option was very flavorful. Both seemed like pretty small amounts for an entreeDessert: a rolled chocolate ganache with some crunchies and ice cream - pretty solid DRINKThe mixed drinks looked good visually, but none of a few options were my personal taste so I got a glass of wine. Typically I drink specific reds and the one I ordered should have been great but fell a bit flat (not a bold Chianti Classico, as the name implied)Overall I'd say Juniper is a nice restaurant with a great vibe and nice team, but the food was a bit underwhelming especially for the price of the menu we had on the day we went.

So 10/10 I ordered from a la carte menu. And all I had was amazing. They take lot of pride in their work and it shows. Amazing Bartenders who are knowledgeable and willing to help everyone out. Love this place.

What a beautiful space and lovely vibe to have dinner-- cozy and great for small groups or a date night. Loved all the food here and will definitely be back for the tasting menu! We did a la carte and had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. The house focaccia is simply to die for. The puffy potato was interesting-- mixed reviews from across the table. I personally wouldn't get it again, but glad we tried it. For entrees: cacio e pepe, rigatoni alla vodka, and risotto. The risotto was a bit too rich for me, but the other two pastas were incredible. Service was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to coming back!

The experience at juniper was delightful. We got the tasting menu, seasonally adjusted. Ambiance was dim, sultry, and felt safe. Delicious!

This place was spoken highly of by my foodie friend but I'm so sad to say it didn't quite impress. She did have the tasting menu during her experience so maybe that makes a difference?Italian is my favorite food and I have been searching for that "Best Italian in Austin" hot spot.We ordered a la carte style. Since we were a group of girls we thought it best for sharing family style. The depth of flavor in the dishes were lacking for my taste. The noodles didnt quite have that bite. The steak was a bit sweet which isn't particularly my style. I just feel for the price point the food could have spoken to my taste buds a little more. Don't get me wrong, I will pay good money for good food. But the food should represent for sure.Maybe the tasting menu dishes might tell a different story? It really pains me to rate lower stars, but seeing as we ordered the staples I would feel they should have had those down.

Juniper is a beautiful restaurant inside & out! I was interested to try the full course meal. The things that were my favorite were the salad & activated charcoal drink. The rest was good, but not mesmerizing. It is a nice relaxing place to go for a special occasion. They also have a really nice bar area surrounding the preparation of food. To see the kitchen in action was a cool experience! And as well, how every single plate was inspected in such a professional way before going out to the customer. Overall, it's worth an experience if you're looking to explore Italian food and nearby!

3.8 stars. I'm not gong to lie.. I reallllly want to love this place. I'm still trying to convince myself that I do. The ambiance is really nice.. it's architecturally & aesthetically a beautiful restaurant. The cocktails that I tried were on par with a 5 star restaurant.. fresh ingredients mixed to perfection. Service was on point. Unfortunately, I feel like the most important part... the food.. didn't *wow* me. We ordered off of the a la carte menu and ended up ordering a bunch of dishes to split everything. I think this is the only way to order here if you don't want to be disappointed. Each dish by itself was just okay and felt so minimal like they were each missing something. If I were a judge on five star chef ... id knock points off for plating. Food didn't match the aesthetic which is a bummer. A little overhyped.

I can't believe it took me so many years to finally dine-in at Juniper. I had ordered take-out here during Covid and fallen in love with their cacio e pepe. I was excited to return for my birthday. I loved everything about this place - what a hidden gem in Austin. This place has elegant and minimalist decor, with a large open kitchen which is delightful to watch, and excellent service with attentive staff through and through. Our food was incredible - every dish we tried from the appetizers to the entrees to dessert. The only one aspect they could improve upon was their cocktail menu but I'm guessing their bigger focus is on their wine selection. And oh, I was a bit surprised at the dog seated inside (hygiene and all). That pea risotto was out of this world and the puffy potato fritters as well as the eggplant appetizer were mouth-watering delicious. The cacio e pepe was also as good as I remembered it to be. Once again, I renew my request to add a fresh vegetable side (the asparagus was not vegetarian) to complement the carb loading. But, hey, I'm not complaining when the carbs are this gratifying.

So good! They were able to accommodate our gluten allergies with the chef's choice menu and it was fabulous!
