Julie's Noodles

This is my second time visiting Julie's Noodles and it's as good as I remember!Went there on a Saturday around lunchtime and there was already starting to be a line. The set-up is that you order and pay at the counter - service was quick, and we got our food within 20 min of us ordering. Good amount of indoor seating and also decent amount of parking spots outside.Lamb Stewed Noodle Soup ($13.25, 5/5).- Amazing! This is my go-to order. The lamb + broth is delicious, and the noodles are thick and chewy. There's also woodear mushroom, seaweed strips, and cilantro that add extra texture and flavor. The complimentary chili oil sauce complements the noodle soup really well too.Overall can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for classic, flavorful noodle soup! The quality is consistent and the general atmosphere of Julie's Noodles is comforting as well.

This place is no frills and you don't come here for the ambiance. You're here because you want a bowl of noodles and some dumplings. Visited late near closing and they were still nice and took the order (and still had a lot of to go orders they filled too). Food came out very quickly. This place is absolutely I've been coming to Julie's for years and have never had a bad experience. The dumplings are always SO fresh with amazing flavor. Plus you're getting so much back for your buck, which is always appreciated these days.

Pretty good. I ordered the Malatang and beef noodle soup, and it was good! Portion was just right. Saw a lot of customers ordering the dumplings and scallion pancake, so will have to try those next time. I don't really like the setup of the restaurant. You order at the front before you sit down, and the space is too small and gets crowded. Especially on weekends. Very casual and I'd recommend!

Really great noodle and dumpling place that's reasonably priced! Great for large groups! You pay for your food first and then they bring the food to you. The water and utensils are self serve. Overall a great place to catch up and can have boba/dessert next door to continue the hangout :) Beef noodle soup is always great. We also get the leek dumplings and the wrapper is the thicc kind so don't get it if you don't like carbs. They also serve it with vinegar which is nice!

Best Chinese noodles in Austin! Hole in the wall type of vibe but the service is great. It's usually always busy so I like ordering my noodles to go. They usually give a larger serving for to go

I feel like Julie's noodles is such a classic place to grab a meal. Practically everyone I know has eaten here and so I made it my mission to try it out too.It's a smaller restaurant so I can see it getting busy very easily. But I went on a Sunday evening so we were able to find a spot relatively easy. You just order and pay and then find your own seat. And water, chili oil, utensils, etc are self serve too.I loved the texture of the scallion pancakes. The outside was crispy but the inside was so fluffy and soft. But it was a little lacking in flavor for me. I wish it either tasted more like scallions or had some more salt. Or came with a dipping sauce. But there was soy sauce at the table so, I just used that. The beef stewed noodles were pretty good too! The broth was a lot lighter than I expected. If you're looking for something light, it would be perfect. But if you're in the mood for something rich, this might not be the move. The beef was pretty tender. And the noodles were delicious. You can tell they're homemade and I love the bounce and chew of them. The noodles with meat and bean sauce were also good! However, the sauce was so rich that we kind of wishes the vegetables were pickled or something. Some acidity would have been nice to just cut through the heaviness.

truly authentic Chinese food and the best chili oil I've ever had. Came here with my best friend feeling a little unwell, and left with full tummy's, left overs, and an incredible feeling of satisfaction. The wonton noodle soup & chive pancakes were 10/10. Service was fast, the place was clean and everyone was very kind!

The chow mein was amazing. Best noodles I've had in a long time. They werent super greasy like what you expect from take out type chinese food. Amd the flavor really stuck to the noodle. Crab and pork soup dumplings were very flavorful and had less broth than the pork soup dumpling. Potato salad was interesting. Potato had a slightly undercooked texture and the dressing was vinegary and since I'm not a fan if pickled things this wasn't my favorite.

My friends and I come here almost every time we visit Austin. They offer authentic hand pulled noodles, which are always amazing (especially if you dine in). As a plus, they actually allow dogs in the restaurant!! I brought my golden retriever in and she was able to just curl up in the corner, which was so much nicer than having to leave her in the car. I usuallyorder the classic beef noodle soup, which comes with a light clear broth and some veggies. However, one of my favorite things about this restaurant is their homemade chili oil, which is AMAZING. They sell jars of it for $8 each and the last time I was there, I ended up buying 5 jars. We use it all the time at home!
