I dropped by this cafe in search of baked goods and it did not disappoint. I got the strawberry and cream croissant and it was HEAVENLY, devoured it before I could take a photo. They had a great assortment of items and I wish I could try them all. They're located in a great space, huge area with loads of tables to work on near Medici on Springdale. Enough parking too, I can't wait to be back!

I was excited to spot them when I stopped by the cedar park farmers' market yesterday. I remember really enjoying their baked goods back at the mueller TFM. I was so highly disappointed. There was a rude person, playing/texting on his phone, unhelpful when we asked what items are popular, no eye contact or looking up from his phone - which is an unusual vibe at an otherwise-friendly setting of a TFM. This little vegetarian croissant is $7.50. I understand inflation etc but just can't get over the price tag here, when so many better bakeries exist at more reasonable $4.50-$5 per croissant pricing. The insides are undercooked and raw dough (see photo) and with barely any stuffing in it. There's no flavors or the flaky layers that croissants should have.

I was so excited to try another Austin French bakery because there are so few that are really really good in the area. My husband and I went around 1100 on a Saturday and it seemed like the large glass case was already mostly empty so I'm not sure if we just came too late, but it opens at 9 so I wouldn't think so? I wanted to give it the best chance so we tried with a classic chocolate croissant and a spinach and feta pastry. I was first disappointed but how pricey they were - $6.50 for a small pastry?? Maybe it would be the best thing I ever ate. But unfortunately they were not and I was sorely disappointed. The chocolate croissant was soft, with almost no lamination whatsoever. A thin strip of chocolate inside was dry, and the pastry was full of empty holes. The savory pastry was a bit more crispy, but not by much, and incredibly underfilled. I would've liked the option to warm them up, which there wasn't either. Wish I could say I would be back because it is a really cute storefront and area, but unfortunately will not for the price and sad pastry.

Service was great and very friendly. Some food purchased at farmers market didn't seem very fresh and was bland. Purchased some brownies but they were left out of my bag....

I came here on a Friday morning after a red eye flight and Julie makes good pastries. The texture of each is as it should be: croissants are flaky, baguettes have a strong crust with gives and a fluffy center.I wish I could've gotten a quiche. The croissants and baguette sandwiches I got were good, but didn't stand out compared to other french bakeries I've been to before. I dunno, it's really good, but not definitive, if you catch my drift.Still, if someone is looking for REALLY solid french pastries for a quick breakfast, this is a prime choice.

Cute little French bakery serving baked goods, desserts and coffee. If they aren't out in front, ring the bell for assistance. Food is tasty, but a tip - they don't warm it up for you.

I sought this place out as I heard they had cannelés.My friend and I arrived and were lucky enough to get the last two.It was quite delicious and well made. The inside was moist and custard-like.I first had cannelés in Bordeaux (where they were first created.) I've even attempted to make them myself a number of times. Ranking the Bordeaux cannelés as a 10, I would rate Julie's as a 9. This is only because as cannelés sit out, they absorb humidity and lose their hard shell.I'm sure, based on the one I had, if I had fresher from the oven, Julie's would be a 10 also.

i usually stop by Julie Myrtille's at texas farmer's market but i decided to check out their neighborhood cafe in springdale. i love their strawberry cream cheese pastry and order it every time i visit. their spinach feta cheese pastry and chocolate croissant are delicious as well. i believe they are one of the few french bakeries in austin, and the service is usually quick and friendly! definitely recommend Julie Myrtille's to anyone looking for a french bakery in austin.

This bakery has the best croissants I've ever tried and I've been to Paris twice. My favorite is the almond croissant. Even though it is pricey, (reason I didn't give it 5 stars) the moistness of the croissant and taste is beyond delicious! I recently tried the Central Market $2.49 almond croissant and it was not good and can't be compared to Julie Myrtille's! I would also recommend their lemon tarts. They're a little pricey but super delicious and worth it! Their baguettes are really good but you can also find tasty ones for a cheaper price at HEB and Central Market. If you're in the area or new in town, definitely make this a stop! (I've attached their updated hours.)

I love Julie Myrtille's baked goods! I have tried a few different things. The spinach and goat cheese quiche is probably my favorite. The goat cheese was buttery but tart and it was the perfect size quiche to fill you up if you're hungry or to split with someone if you're feeling like sharing. I wasn't feeling like sharing and devoured this whole. And that's exactly what I've done with all of the other things I've tried here.
