I recently visited Juan in a Million with a friend and had a great experience overall! I ordered the migas, and they were flavorful and satisfying. The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. I appreciated that there's a parking lot, which makes finding a spot much easier compared to many other spots in Austin.A heads-up for vegetarians: the refried beans on the menu are not vegetarian, but you can request separate vegetarian beans, which is a nice option to have. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the positive experience. All in all, good food, big portions, and a welcoming vibe make this a solid spot to enjoy Tex-Mex classics. I'll definitely return!

We went to Juan in a Million because of a friend's recommendation. I ordered the Don Juan El Taco Grande and it was delicious. The portion was gigantic and I needed to buy an extra tortilla to make it two tacos. The location was also very large and there were a lot of people. The service was very quick once we were seated and they were able to give us our orders quickly.Even though the place is delicious, there was a lot of hype about this place and I expected a lot more. There was a line outside and parking was hard to find even though they were at a plaza. Overall, delicious food but I would only go here occasionally because of the wait and parking.

Tex-Mex and Mexican food is my favorite cuisine and as the most reviewed Tex-Mex spot in Austin on Yelp, Juan In A Million was a must try for me. Having said that, the food is simply okay. I ordered the Con Queso Breakfast Plate (one of their specials) and was not impressed. Highlights:- Lively and bright atmosphere- Friendly and fast service- The beans are very good- I think they add extra lard which is a plus for me Lowlights:- Food quality is okay- Queso was watery and tasted like it was from a can - Breakfast potatoes were somewhat underdone/not crispy and lacked flavor - While it's affordable, the amount of food you get for the price is not as generous as most Tex-Mex spots - Chips & salsa= bland and basic

I came in on a Sunday morning, and despite being packed, I was seated promptly. I ordered coffee, and it came quickly. I ordered the bean and cheese taco and the carne guisada taco. The carne guisada was the clear better of the two, and the meat was so tender. The tortilla was good, but not the freshest, and what makes or breaks a taco for me is the tortilla. The next time I come back, I'll skip through tacos and get the carne guisada plate.

We recently visited this place in Downtown Austin for brunch, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The place was buzzing with energy, and although there was a line to get in, it was well worth the wait. The food was fantastic! We ordered burritos along with rice and beans, and everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Even the tortillas were top-notch - fresh and delicious. The service was also outstanding; the staff was attentive and kept things running smoothly despite the crowd.Overall, this place is a must-visit if you're in Austin. The lively atmosphere, amazing food, and great service make this place worth every minute in line. Highly recommend for a memorable brunch experience.

I was impressed they got our party of 8 seated in 15 min! Decent food and wonderful service! Let's dive in ...Ambiance (4/5): I love all the Corona and Dos Equis piñatas and flag banners decorating the walls and ceilings! It gives this place a laid back, fun vibe. The tables in the extension where we sat are mostly white folding tables and folding chairs so not fancy or the most comfortable but does the job! Service (5/5): We were given menus right away and got the coffees and water soon after. Staff were attentive, refilled our coffees and waters, and served our food very quickly too!Texas Rib Steak Breakfast (3/5): I ordered this because I was torn between this and the huevos rancheros. Since this came with rancheros sauce I went for it! I'm used to a thicker rancheros sauce so I was a bit sad about that. The steak was beautifully seasoned and cooked to a medium rare as requested but was on the fattier and thinner side. Eggs were a perfect over easy as requested but the egg yolk burst in the sauce and got lost in there since the sauce was quite thin. The potatoes were fine -- nothing crazy here. Others at the table ordered differently (flautas, breakfast tacos, etc.) and for full disclosure I'm a bit jealous. TL;DR: Not an expensive meal for what you get but would probably try a different menu item if I came back.

How long has it been since you've had a Don Juan? Well that's too long! Dan's breakfast taco is excellent and highly capable. Migas at Cisco's are terrific. Juan in a Million's Don Juan stands on a shining hill overlooking them all. I add chorizo to take it from excellent to a metaphysical experience. You can't beat the price and during the week they are waiting for you to show up.

I like to go to Mexican restaurants that do not have a lot of reviews but Juan is one In a Million. The place boasts a 2.4K reviews in Yelp and as expected there was a long file of people waiting on a Saturday morning at 11:15 AM. The best nature of this place is the people. They were all friendly. The wait time was 30mins. When it was our turn, we were welcomed with menus and table. The process was pretty fast but I witnessed a lot of empty table despite people waiting in the sun. Probably they were reserved? They never got occupied until we left. So no idea!My order:Huevos RancherosChips con RancheroHuevos a la MexicanaHorchataCoffeeSide of Rancehro sauce - since the salsa was super spucyLoved my entree and the chips except for the Salsa. The tortillas were small and soft. I loved the authenticity and the price but the quantity was less. The potatoes were tiny pieces unlike other places and I loved it. The eggs, rice were all good. The highlight was the Ranchero sauce. Super yummy!4-star because the Salsa was super spicy for me. They did not have a mild-spicy salsa for replacement and we had to wait a little for our water & straws. That is not going to stop me from coming to this place! The place had a nice vibe and decor made it all look very authentic!

Great service. Ordered the chalupas with beef and guac. It was solid but a bit hard to eat bc of how it's served. Huge portion size though. Would probably get something else tho. Tried the flan and Tres Leches Cake, Flan was solid but the cake was definitely better.
