If you're in the mood for Dim Sum this place will not disappoint and it's reasonably priced for the quality and portions. The entrees are better than average but next time I could order every app on the menu and be happy!

We wanted to try out some more places we can get soup dumplings and dim sum in austin besides our go to which is LIN Asian or any of her places. We got to this spot at about 2:40 on a Sunday. They close at 3, but we called to make sure they were ok w it. The food was very good but definitely they could have offered more in the way of sauces for dipping. We got soup dumplings, A pepper shrimp dish, Chinese's broccoli (best dish) and a few other things I'll post pics of. We liked this place but we didn't love it. Would go back though for

After a few recent dim sum outings at Ling Wu and Qi--both conveniently close to us--we decided to make the drive to Jade Restaurant again, and it was absolutely worth it! Nestled in Davenport Village on the second level, this gem remains one of our favorite spots for dim sum. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Parking in the complex is plentiful and stress-free, which is always a plus. We brought our dog along, as their outdoor seating is pet-friendly and well-suited for a relaxed meal.As for the food--where do we begin? We ordered our usual staples: siomai, siomai har gow, xiao long bao, pork spare ribs, and Chinese broccoli, all of which were consistently fresh and flavorful. The highlight of this visit, however, was discovering the salt and pepper soft-shell crab. It was a revelation! Perfectly crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly, ensuring that dishes arrived piping hot and in quick succession. The pricing is fair for the quality and variety offered, making it a great spot for both casual outings and special occasions.Jade Restaurant continues to impress us with its delicious dim sum, welcoming ambiance, and impeccable service. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience that's worth the drive, this is the place to be. We'll undoubtedly be back soon!

An Asian hidden gem in Westlake! I love eating family style and this place is perfect for that! Big or small group this is a great place. The menu is extensive and of the 8 dishes I ordered with my friend I loved basically 80% of them which is a win! I would definitely say this is authentic Chinese food (I'm Vietnamese but to me it's good lol). They offer Vietnamese food also and I recommend the shaken beef if you never had it and their chicken basil dumpling! I love the shrimp balls also! My gosh I can't wait to take my family here when they come to visit!

I wrote previous review as a to-go experience, but recently went to the restaurant for dim sum dine-in.Following New Fortune, Jade Restaurant has become the new best Dim Sum in Austin. The space is smaller and they don't have the carts that walk around, but ordering a la carte actually feels more streamlined. And sure, there are fancier dim sum fusion options in Austin, but this is the more traditional dim sum menu. The drive is a bit further from central Austin, but would recommend trying this place out if you want dim sum!

It was my first time here and surprisingly (and I say surprisingly because there are not a lot of options for good dim sum here in Austin) everything that we ordered was delicious! I really love the steamed spare ribs. The flavor is just right. Each dish is also a decent size! Love the classic hargow (shrimp dumplings) and siumai. I thought it was interesting that they also sell sushi-I thought it was only a dim sum restaurant. They don't have a lot of variety for dim sum dishes. Maybe next time I'll try their sushi. Overall, not a long wait, great dim sum flavors!

Sadly the quality has gone down over the years. I dont think they have a chef on staff anymore. Just cooks because the authenticity of the food shows. I got the combination pan fried noodle and it didn't come with gravy on top like how it should. Instead it has this dark soy all over it and just overall not appetizing. The beef chow fun had a weird texture. I don't think they cooked it enough. I'll be taking a break from Jade.

Despite Austin being a mecca for foodies, dim sum places are slim pickings in this city. Jade Restaurant will satisfy your dim sum cravings but it isn't comparable to to Dallas or Houston's offerings.I've ordered from both the dimsum and regular menu, I would recommend the following items:- pork and shrimp sui mai : plump, juicy pieces, comes w/4- salt and pepper shrimp: generous portion with a thin batter.- shrimp balls-mapo tofu- dry sauteed green beansOverall, I would order from here again since prices are reasonable and generous portions!

Were craving dim sum so we stopped here. It's order only and no cart is pushed around for you to pick fromOverall, food tasted good! Don't expect top notch dumplings or shumai (like from Lin or Qi) I enjoyed their sticky rice and Chinese Broc dish.we'd recommend Jade if you want dim sum in the Austin area!Good service and ambiance is casual.
