Large restaurant with a fun open bar area and a variety of things to eatApps orderd were fried jalapeños, guacamole and fried catfish . Alls apps were done well, fresh and tasty Entree was the trout. I wanted the bacon wrapped quail I had read about in a different YELP review but they no longer offer it. For accuracy I wish they could update that infoTrout was good , overall dining experience was 3.5 stars

So check this out...We had a large late lunch. So wanted to go get apps somewhere. We stumbled upon Jack Allen's. Let me tell this... it was cool chill ambiance, food was good despite not really being too hungry. Now, here's the good part the service.... DAMN... can I say that?? The service was on point? If you go, ask for Quinn he is top notch legit!! Dude is awesome, friendly, helpful oh and he laughed at my jokes! Definitely recommend this place cause of him. Go check it out and ask for Quinn!

I really enjoyed my experience here! I highly recommend stopping in. Extensive menu, the food came out relatively quickly and it was so good! I loved my salad with salmon, the catfish was very fresh and good, LOVE the coleslaw, and the barbacoa starter was fresh and hot. The drinks were also great and very wallet friendly. The service was quick and accommodating, very knowledgeable! A lot of seating options and space and the environment was nice and quiet. I loved the Texas decor on the walls! I would definitely revisit, so many more menu options to try. I highly recommend this place for a nice family dinner or stopping by to watch the game.

We sat at the bar and Sebastian was an amazing bartender. He made a GREAT desert pear rita. Sebastian was super friendly and gave me a great recommendation for the green chile pork tacos. They are smothered in cheese and go great with the house serrano hot sauce. The restaurant overall had a great vibe. Everywhere I looked people were smiling and having a good time. 10/10 would come back if I find myself in the Westlake area again

I had lunch yesterday with a long time dear friend and mentor at one of our favorite places to meet. I tried one of their daily specials (salmon croquettes) and it was delicious. Our server, Josie, was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed even down to the timely refills of our unsweetened tea!

Our family met for dinner at Jack Allen's Westlake before Christmas and we had not dined there in 2 yrs. i have always ordered the chicken fried chicken w mashed potatoes and vegetables. The chicken had been beaten to death and was like fried sawdust. The plate had stingy mashed potatoes and veggies-all served less than hot. Our waiter was totally overwhelmed w/60 customers and no help. The deserts were nothing like prior visits. Last visit for me. 3 stars are generous.

I live in NW Austin. This location is about the same distance from my house as the location on Anderson Ln. And yet, I prefer the 360 location. I find the food to be better prepared, better cooked. For example, the rice that comes with the trout or the enchiladas is always better cooked here. I assume both places source their ingredients the same way, so it's just a reflection of the kitchen staff and chef I guess.Usually I get the trout, but today I had the barbacoa enchiladas which were amazing.

Great happy hour selections for food. All starts are half priced. We tried the catfish and the quesadilla. Loved the slaw so much. I could just eat that alone. I think jicama is in it. The pork is sweet but add some hot sauce and it's perfect. Great bartender that knows wine.

A decent place for weekend brunch without a wait and plentiful parking! This restaurant is huge and if you're looking for a simple no wait brunch this might be a good place for you.We ordered the Barbocoa eggs benedict it has so much flavor and uniqueness with it being served a fried green tomato. The Barbocoa was savory with a perfect amount of fat combined with hollandaise chipotle sauce was very tasty. The issue was one egg was not running but the other eggs was somewhat running. Also, the potatoes were uncooked and a bit hard bite to them.We also ordered the Dee Dee's Short stack which is essentially a glorified French toast with mascarpone. This is good and not too overly sweet. I would recommend this dish.

The food is delicious and the bar staff is always accommodating. Sometimes chilly, but I'd rather freeze in the Texas summer than have a heat stroke!
